Truck and Tap has a nice environment with good music and good drinks. On the weekends it's usually crowded so it takes a while to get your drink and there's not an organized line, so if you get there first it doesn't mean you'll get your drink first. The best thing about this restaurant is the location and super casual concept. I came out for dinner on a lovely night and loved being able to sit outside with a juicy burger, crunchy fries and a margarita (of course!). For the most part, Truck & Tap is self serve. You walk up to the food truck to place your order and you can order drinks from the bar. You seat yourself. I recommend the outdoor seating that faces the park/lawn area, but they also have indoor seating available. I hope I can come back to try the other local food trucks that frequent this awesome spot! read more

I enjoyed the overall atmosphere and experience here. I was a little worried it would be too complicated or confusing if you're not a local regular but the concept is super simple. The casual feel also made it all the more easy to navigate and enjoy. Basically you seat yourself and walk up to the food truck for food and the full bar for alcohol. The indoor-outdoor seating is great especially if it's a cool, clear afternoon. I went when they had Shake Shack and other than the food taking a little longer than expected, it was great. The burgers were tasty and they have mastered the crinkle fry. I usually am not a fan of crinkle fries but Shake Shack's are nice and crunchy. There is somewhat of a wait staff for bar service. They'll come around to get drink orders and take away empty glasses. I'd love to come back for some of their other food truck fair. read more

I love this whole concept. If I didn't live so far away I would definitely visit every single day! I went for the first time after initially walking by it to visit Crave Pie (they're just as amazing). I knew I would be back after seeing the menu for the week. I went on a Thursday and "Flavor Rich" was the food truck of the day. I ordered blackened shrimp and fries from the food truck. From the bar I ordered a margarita (I'm not a beer drinker) and then I had a nice, sweet white wine. It was just perfect. I love how the garage doors open up and the weather was just perfect. I will definitely be visiting more often whenever I'm on that side of town!! read more

Have been twice and have had exceptionally good experiences. I absolutely love the concept. The beer list is big, but you won't find your basic beer offerings on it. The vibe is warm and cozy yet not overly masculine or sports pub-like. They feature a new food truck daily. Known for their generous library of beers and the rotating food trucks (each day is different), why do I/we love T-n-T? Easy, it's because they provide consistently good customer service (the bartenders are great). Another reason: in light of the current re-emerging pandemic, having such a large patio with plenty of seating (or easy access to Duluth's town center), makes T-n-T an easy choice whenever we're in the mood for good service, a light meal and drinks. read more

Went to the Truck and Tap for a football game that was not on Direct Tv. The staff accommodated our request and were very friendly. They helped us through the drink menu and offered suggestions based on our normal preferences. Had a blast and the drinks were perfect. A great addition to a growing nightlife in Duluth. read more

We came here on a Saturday night, 9/22, to check it out for the first time; I had seen a beer on tap (Wild Heaven's Belisama) that I really wanted to try. We were not disappointed! Che Butter Jonez was the food truck, and we loved the lamb burger, lamb fries, and Brussels sprouts. Was the lamb burger $14? Yes... but this ain't McDonalds, my friend. If you want a $5 burger it's not going to be made out of lamb, have caramelized jalapenos and a nice herb sauce. The beer list, which is really all I'm rating since the location doesn't make the food, is excellent. It's a huge list, appears to be lots of rotation, and several beers I haven't seen anywhere else. As someone else noted, it was pretty loud, but that's kind of what we expected for a Saturday night. They did have loud music playing but turned it off because there was a concert in the park, which was nice. They also have a fair number of TVs to watch the game to your heart's content. Overall, cute atmosphere, great beer, and we can't wait to try more food trucks! read more

We love going here for the beer and trucks and being able to sit outside. BUT, although the misting fans outside are a great idea to battle the heat for customers, they can be super annoying. They are extremely powerful and there's a LOT of mist coming out of those things. I really wish they could turn those things down a notch or have a little less mist flying through them. I don't want to sit there and gradually get drenched and there's so many of them it can be difficult to find an available table with a drier or less windy spot. It's humid enough around here so heavy mist just makes it feel even more yucky. Also the music they play is usually not good. I don't even know what kind of music you'd call it. Fun place, cool concept. This place is cool. They have a deal with various food trucks to pull right up to the building to offer food, while they concentrate on the beer. We were there on a very busy day and they handled it great. Offered us taste samples and never rushed us. My only issue, I wish they had offered a few more standard beers. I'm a fan of Reds for example. Let me explain, I am not a fan of fruit flavored beer, and most of the offerings this time of year had some kind of fruit flavor. But I will certainly be back to check out what is changing and to try the various food trucks that are on-site. read more

We've been to this place for lunch twice in the 2 weeks they have been "open" and no truck...the place is locked...they don't answer the phone. Went here a couple weeks ago during the holidays and they have bartenders who don't know how make drinks, I wish I was kidding. I also asked for a holiday drink and one of the bartenders said they were all out then 10 minutes later another customer asks for a holiday drink from a different bartender and received her drink. Why say untrue statements? When I confronted the other bartender she said they have holiday drinks and were not out. So bizarre. Cute decor but they need new bartenders with skill and knowledge. read more

Great service! Will be recommending to friends! I was having a bad day and went over to Nacho Daddy for a margarita. I went to the bar and was totally ignored for 5 minutes, no greeting, acknowledgement, or service was given. So I left and went over to Truck&Tap. WOW! It was night and day! The super friendly bartender made me a delicious margarita and we had some good conversation! Helped make my day a lot better! It's a cute concept but there's nothing affordable about getting food from a food truck and the food is never as good as it would be in a legit restaurant. The beer selection is nice and they had trivia when we went which was neat. So if you're into blowing too much money to hang like a hipster this is your spot but if you're into good food at a reasonable price I'd eat somewhere first and stick to the beer here. read more

The bar has a very relaxed energy. However, that is dissipated by the incredibly rude bar staff. They get annoyed whenever you attempt to order a drink *note I said attempt because multiple times the draft beers delivered are not the draft beers ordered. Straight up ignored , came in around 9:15pm , sat at the bar and began to look at the drink menu with my girlfriend. Food truck had just left but all I wanted was a drink, not one person acknowledged us for about 10-15 minutes before leaving. Bar had some people in it and the two people working made eye contact with me and knew we were there, but went so far as cleaning up a spot next to me but not saying a single word. This is the coolest concept! We have eaten there with the Breaded Pig and Blaxican. Both were SO good. The variety of beers T&T has is very impressive. They carry a lot of local beers as well things from a little further away. I have not gone enough to know for sure, but it seems like they change the taps our pretty frequently. On Tuesday nights, they also host a "singo" event which makes for a really fun group activity.
