I needed to find a barber to see what I can do with my style post-Army service. For the last 14 years, I've only received one type of haircut from individuals that were not really artists. They got the job done for a low cost to the Soldier. However, in my new career, my look needed a change and it needed to match my new life. I walked into this establishment amazed at the feel and decor. The gentlemen were very nice and even though they were booked up made it work for me. My wait was no longer than 15 minutes and I was seated in the chair. If you're looking for a barbershop with class and true artists to back up the decor, then you've come to the right place. My barber was well versed in hair enough to tell me how to style my hair according to my natural lines. To some, that may seem silly, but to a Soldier like me, it was refreshing. After visiting True Light for the first time I can confidently say that I've found the only shop in the area I'll be going to. Everything from the atmosphere to the camaraderie between Jeff and Tyler is very welcoming, and I can tell you first hand that they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in how they interact with each other and their customers. I booked an appointment with Tyler and went in not knowing what to expect, but told him I trusted his opinion; I just wanted a haircut that was gonna look good on me. His knowledge and precision were immaculate for someone being so new to the trade. He told me what my hair was doing and why it did certain things that I didn't like, then gave me a cut and a plan to get my hair to be how I wanted it and what worked best for me.
