I have floated before at other establishments, but my hour float at True Rest Float Spa in Chico was the best by far. The building upon entering was beautifully clean and inviting. Veronica was very friendly and welcoming. She explained everything in detail and walked me through the steps of my float. I won my float off of a facebook contest and was so very impressed I left with a membership and can't wait schedule my next float and can't wait to share how awesome it was with all my friends and family. My body was achy following a car accident, so I decided to try a float. The result: it wasn't just helpful, it was heavenly. I could not have given myself a better gift. I was a first timer. After that one time, much of my pain has subsided. Plus, for nearly one week afterwards, I've experienced a blissful buzz and upbeat mood. Veronica is very warm and hospitable. Facility is pristine staff amazing and ,well it is floating after all.

It was my first experience and I was super nervous before the appt. I rescheduled for a month because of life events and not having time. Last night, I finally got to float! From beginning to end, it was perfect. Veronica was amazing and very thorough with us before the float. I kept thinking that I wouldn't be able to relax because I'm an over thinker and have high anxiety. I also said I wouldn't close the pod. But, once I rinsed off and got into the pod, I was already at ease. I started to let my body relax, limb by limb and clear my mind. It was the most relaxed I've ever been. My mind didn't wander and I was able to fully relax in the pod, closed pod. When I awoke(yes, I fell into a deep mediation 3 times and twitched myself out of it and went right back into a deep mediation), I felt energized yet relaxed. I tried the oxygen bar with lavender afterwards and it was the icing on my relaxing cake! Today, I referred pretty much half of the sales floor to try it out. Since we're in sales, were always stressed and don't know how to relax. So what better way than a serene setting and mental detox float! I'm setting myself up with a membership and can't wait to make this part of my weekly routine. read more

I have to admit I was nervous to try this. But Joe Rogan isn't wrong and he swears by float pods! So I booked an appointment and thought I'd step outside my comfort zone and try it. AMAZING! This was by far one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. From feeling immediately comfortable as I was greeted at the door by name by owner, Veronica, to visiting with her after my float at the oxygen bar, this was an incredible experience. I am not one to relax, ever, and I was actually able to fall asleep in my pod! I awoke relaxed and energized! I can not say enough about this incredible experience. I bought a membership, which offers these healing floats at an even better rate with every intention of floating at least once a month but hopefully more! Worth the drive, worth every penny and more! The spa facilities are pleasant enough. My gripe is with their bookkeeping or, more precisely, their lack of bookkeeping. I purchased a three float package and each time I tried to use one, they couldn't find my credit or account on their books. One evening I simply walked out, despite their request for payment. My experience was terrific. The place, rooms, and the staff were clean and friendly. It was so relaxing and soothing that I almost fell asleep. I quickly began relaxing, because it was so comfortable, and meditating for mindfulness. With the soothing solitude my mind was free to wander the universe. I enjoyed my float very much. I don't want this to be too long, but I feel compelled to share what's happening to me with my floating experiences. Sleep has been an issue for me forEVER, and this is what originally brought me in. I've floated now about a half dozen times, and have found that each float has had its own personality. Sometimes it's easier, and sometimes it's harder to quiet my brain, but the last two times I've floated I feel like I've had some kind of breakthrough. I'm not as compressed (chronic back issues) and I'm sleeping better. When I do wake up, I'm able to go back to sleep more easily. I haven't had a sleeping pill in five weeks, which is huge. Something is releasing. Last week one day in conjunction with sitting in a jacuzzi, having a massage, and the deep breathing I did while floating, I felt like something profound had happened. I think that somehow my brain, and the memory of the complete relaxation I feel when floating, is what's making the difference. All this, and the staff there is so wonderful.
