This is the best eye doctor I have ever been to. The tech was amazing, she was funny and so sweet. The eye doctor was amazing too. She literally walked me through everything and even showed me pics of my own eye to explain what was going on. I've never seen a picture of my own eye and I've been going to the eye doctor for 20 years! When I wasn't quite sure my contacts were perfect they took me outside the room to see in another light and she figured out the problem and got me perfect lenses. I don't know..I've just never had such a pleasant experience at a eye doctor! And they don't do puff tests :D read more

Dr Kristen Bunn was phenomenal with my 4 year old daughter, who got her first prescription for eye-glasses. It is very complicated to patiently guide a 4 year old in selecting a pair of glasses and have them keep the glasses on for some time. We are very impressed with Dr Bunn's expertise, knowledge of selecting appropriate glasses (especially for kids), and her willingness to work with my kid. They had an excellent selection of frames, and conveniently next to the Walmart complex, and from Hwy 540. Highly recommended! read more

I have followed Dr. Barnes around for about 20 years and she has always been a kind and competent doctor. This fall I had an eye emergency when she was out of town, and her staff and connections got me into another doctor's office immediately before my eye condition worsened. I would love to give a review but as we walked through the door, we were informed that they were closed. It was 1:22pm and they close at 2pm. How nice it would have been to be asked if we needed help or allow us to look around. Most businesses wouldn't turn down customers especially with the time that was left until closing. Also if you're closed how about locking the door and updating the sign. She was in the process of checking out another customer so it would have been nice to show us some type of customer service. Friendly customer service but at a high price and limited selection and capabilities. I have a stigma prescription and I tried several progressive lens with no success. I had to settle for 2 pairs of single vision glasses for hundreds of $$$ after insurance. After I lost a pair I went online and replaced with nearly identical pair for $80. read more

We are new patients at TrueVision Eye Care. I have been very pleased with the knowledge of the staff and how nice they are. They have top of the line equipment and an excellent vision therapy team. I have been stalking Dr. Barnes for several years now, ever since the first time I went to her. She worked elsewhere then, but I stalked her on LinkedIn and found her here. So glad she opened her own clinic! I wear rigid gas permeable contact lenses (RGPs, or hard contacts). I went to several eye doctors in town and none of them were able to fit my contacts correctly. Dr. Barnes not only knows what she's doing, she is also extremely nice and a joy to visit. She takes VSP as well. I plan on going to her for as long as she will practice! read more

I don't often write reviews but felt it necessary in this case. I decided to change eye care specialists to something close to my office and TrueVision is pretty close. I was immediately welcomed into their new offices (with Keurig coffee!) by Wendy; very friendly and helpful. Christina promptly got my vision checked (all high tech gadgetry....pretty cool) out and my basic stats for Dr. Barnes. She was very personable and thorough. Dr. Barnes came in shortly thereafter and actually explained why I've lost depth perception and how to correct it. She showed me examples with and without corrective lenses. Just like the others, she was very attentive and genuinely interested in my eye care. Last but not least by any means was the excellent experience I had with Daris, their optical consultant. Daris is very up beat and optimistic and very knowledgeable. He set an expectation for delivery of my glasses for Wednesday and that's when he called. They fit perfectly and I can see clearly. I've told my wife about TrueVision and she'll be coming here as well (even though it's not close to our house). Just for the record, I have never met any of these folks before I just walked in and I asked for their names so that I could write this recommendation. Very excellent experience! read more
