Another important detail is that I'm pretty handy myself, and most contractors I've dealt with were generally dismissive of women who know a thing or two about home repairs, tools, and the work it entails. Not Devis. He and his partners were great - they listened, considered my input, and I never felt dismissed in any way. Both projects were completed with a high degree of professionalism and significant attention to details. At no time did we feel the project was compromised for speed or price, even for those items that would never be apparent once walls were closed in. Some of the strongest attributes Schrader delivers include project logistics (the project never languished and it moved along rapidly with a high degree of coordination among high quality subs), cleanliness (the job site was never messy, at day end everything was cleaned up, dust remediation was outstanding, and the job site was always protected from the weather), and skill (the smallest details were completed with the highest attention to quality, joinery was not "fudged" with caulk). We would use Schrader and Company again and would highly recommend them for any home project regardless of size or complexity.

This is the second project performed by owner John Markowski and his partner Bob. We purchased Harvey Windows from Curtis Lumber which John did all the measuring and ordering; including some upgrades. They removed the siding to add flashing since flashing had not been installed when the house was built in 1992. They also built and painted the casings, aprons, and sills. Their craftmanship was outstanding. John gave us recommendations as to where to purchase new shutters that he hung as well. Both John and Bob are very trustworthy which was important since they were in almost every part of our home. They cleaned inside and outside at the end of each day. John estimated ten days to complete and they finished in nine. The final cost was almost the same amount as the quote we received from a local Windows & Doors company. I would not hesitate to hire Dream Builders & Remodeling in the future.

They had been recommended through our main contract with Kitchen and Bath (kiba) Studios of Clifton Park. I'm reviewing Dream Builders & Remodeling separately because of how pleased we are with the outstanding work they performed. Owner John and his assistant demonstrated exceptional skills whether working with tiling, plumbing, or woodworking. Because we needed extensive electrical work to be done John arranged for a subcontractor to do that work. John made some suggestions early on in our project that not only addressed the aesthetics of a room but also improved its functioning. He and his assistant always arrived to work at the scheduled time and put in a full day's work. They made every effort to protect the areas they needed to pass through by using floor and stair coverings. They were very pleasant and courteous individuals who respected our home and did not blast radios or swear while working. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that during a period of downtime while we waited for a cabinet to replace one that had arrived damaged, we entered a direct contract with John to upgrade the trim around the windows of three bedrooms and to paint the walls and ceilings of those bedrooms. There is no doubt that we will be contacting John at Dream Builders & Remodeling again when we identify another project to be undertaken.

The communication from their office Clerk Donna was awful from the very beginning. (I have all the saved emails to prove it) After we struggled to get the work going, it was nothing but problems to get it completed. Door which we were told were ordered as the start of the project, where in fact never ordered at all. (Have those emails too) and when I told them that I would not make my final payment until work was complete, they got disgruntled. Here we are a year later and pieces of the Facet and Siding are falling off of the house. We have been contacting them for over a month now, with not even a single person coming to take a look or fix it. I have email pictures. I have called the office to be hung up on by Donna and the contractor himself Bob Furchilli who did the siding to no avail. The only options we have left now are to file complaints with BBB and Angie's list and go to an attorney as they have made it very clear they will not be fixing the shotty work they did on my house. I highly suggest that you go elsewhere for this very poorly run company!
