It's a name used to mislead military members that they are affiliated. They have been sued for discriminatory lending practices. Don't expect any level of personal service from the loan department. They will not communicate with you at all. When you call them on the phone, you can only speak to a representative who admittedly does not have any answers about the loan department or how they operate. They read from a standard form and cannot provide any assistance or answers. With NFCU you're just a number. Your military service means nothing to them. For me it has been a disappointment. Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely not. It's offensive to military members, veterans and their families.

They initiated a new policy to require your debt card or a pin to deposit cash. Yes, to deposit cash. So today I walked in with my card thinking I don't need a deposit slip, but you still do. Because the drive through teller was conducting my deposit if $600, I couldn't enter the pin, he had to send a code to my phone which I had to provide my pin to verify. I work in retail so I know a difficult customer when I see one and that's the last thing I'd want to be. Please tell me if requiring verification for depositing money is convenient. I'll be opening up. Citizens bank account on Monday and closing my TD account .
