To die for! You know I never had a fav drink growing up. Well this place said here you go ur fav go to drink and I'm not mad about it. I always get the hojicha latte pistachio with grass jelly at less sweetness and its chefs kiss. I kid you not I've had this 2-3 times in a month which for me is a lot. Im not too much of a matcha girl but hojicha which is a roasted matcha..say less. This was my first time trying this chain out and they hooked me on. A bit disappointing that some branches have this drink and some don't which kinda leads to some confusion...idk why some locations have different menus if it's the same chain but ok. Super authentic and a nice study vibe going on. Pricey tho can't lie but I love it so much id come back 1000x times.
Modern aesthetic and a calm, relaxing ambiance, perfect for studying. The service was quick and excellent! Definitely adding this to my list of must-stop coffee spots whenever I'm in Long Beach.
Such a cute cafe in Long Beach! Only 20 minutes away from the Queen Mary, and we decided to make a quick stop by. Ordered the Ube Matcha and the Caramel Tiramisu, total came to $14. The Ube Matcha was delightful and exceeded my expectations. The interior of the cafe is cute with plenty of seating, and they close at 8pm which was convenient because it is difficult to find cafes open late. :)
Was looking for some good Vietnamese coffee in the area. This place popped up with reviews saying it's better than airoma or da vien. I had to give it a try! It was in the plaza across from VA Long Beach. Very clean and chic spot. I didn't even get a pic of the coffees before we tried them. If you love good Vietnamese coffee, this place is for you! The coffees were delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness for an Asian. Strong, fresh coffee taste. I can definitely taste the banana in the banana coffee but not overpowering the coffee. I definitely agree with the other reviews that the coffee here is better than the other spots. Would definitely recommend!
My coworker recommended this place and orders through door dash each time, and each time hitts esp when we need a good pick up during work. We all got different drink orders but didn't get to take pics of all. High peach tea sweetness at 125% Mildly fruity, even at 125 sweetness it's not aggressively sweet. This would be the perfect sweet drink if not getting coffee. Tea is tasty. Iced white with 75% sweetness It's sweet and good, it's just like drinking milk with coffee. Berry coffee, strawberry foam sweetness 75% Fruity, sweet creamy, and strong Banana matcha, 50% sweetness whole milk Banana matcha 75% with oat milk Very banana forward with nice creamy finish. Very earthy, good quality matcha flavor, very tasty.
I usually go to the one in garden groove and happened to run into this location this time. I love their coffee ever since my first sip. A Must stop whenever I'm in town. The shop is very clean and cute with their decors. Coffees are always good, nice and strong phin base, never a miss. My stable go to are corn cream, ube, egg coffee.
Ordered via DoorDash , Vietnamese iced coffee and pistachio espresso. Vietnamese coffee had no condensed milk as stated in the description that it was supposed to. Pistachio espresso was alright. The non tempered labels that were placed on them were incorrect, the drinks spilled in the backs they were placed in. If no condensed milk is put in, should update description.
Coffee is good and strong here but expect the cup to be filled with half ice. I love me a strong strong coffee, but the drinks are way too expensive when you account for how much liquid you're actually receiving. I likely will not be back
Hands down, the best Banana Matcha in Long Beach. If I could come here every day for it, I would! It's also a nice spot to stay cool and get some work done.
I've heard my friends talk about Trung Nguyen in Dallas so I was excited when I saw there was one in Long Beach! The staff were friendly & the inside is cute & spacious! If I lived closer, I'd def come study/work from here- they had so many spacious tables and outlets under each bench! I grabbed the banana milk matcha ($7) & I enjoyed the creaminess of it!
Revisited this location and am honestly impressed by their improvements. Ice levels are good, service is quick, and professional. Great place to hang around and study. Variety of matcha and hojicha drinks are also amazing!
Love their Hi-peach tea! I go often across the street from my work to get a refreshing mid-day pick me up! It is fruity and balanced. Definitely recommend trying it out.
We have been here a few times and their drinks never disappoint! My favorite is the Black Sesame espresso. The Banana Cream drip is also really yummy. My kids have also had their matcha and say it is so tasty. Price point is good at $6.75 for a regular size and so much better than THAT chain. It's near CSULB and staffed with young adults who get the drinks out quickly. The décor is so cute. Parking is sometimes difficult, but worth it.

To start off the inside was quite open and clean and very very cold. Hey at least you guys know the ac is working!! So bring a sweater cuz it was sooooo cold in here. Went inside and wasn't greeted or anything it wasn't really acknowledged. Not a biggie for me but this can affect the aspect of costumer service. Felt very "just place your order." The good thing the girl helped me decide between 2 drinks so that was helpful at least :) The 3/5 is more for the drink aspect almost 7 dollars for a drink and was mainly ice. Yes I'm aware it is standardized but even the standard measurements are not worth it for me personally. I did however enjoy the taste of the sesame and wished the coffee flavor was a bit stronger. Trung Nguyen !!! IS !!! THE !!! BEST !!! I go like twice a week sometime thrice. The employees are always so friendly and I'm consistently surprised by how QUICK they're able to prepare the drinks out. They have a handful of pastries as well that are REALLY DELECIOUS. Finally got to try this trending coffee shop I keep seeing on my tiktok! This spot opened a few months ago and has been on my list. We ordered the Vanilla Marble Espresso & it was def espresso-ing . It gave me that bold, strong kick I needed. I'll 100% order this again when I need to feel alive & awake! We also tried the Banana Matcha since I'd heard good things. The barista warned me that it had that artificial banana flavor (like the Korean banana milk) & he was right. Not my fave.. the cream foam on top was a bit thin & underwhelming than what I'm used too! Worth trying once, but I wouldn't get it again! On GOD the only one star review I have ever given and hopefully will ever do. So I get this small black coffee. It's 5.00 bucks. Okay, whatever five bucks. I say light ice. The lady pours me the coffee about 70% full. She asks me "do you want room for milk?" Granted she had left room for milk. I say, I would like you to pour it all the way up with coffee. She says "the coffee is too strong, it can harm you." I say, who came up with that? What if it was lactose and tolerant, she said "we have almond milk? I said, what if I'm allergic to that? She said "well, it's just store policy." I said, well fine.... Can you pour me another cup of coffee? She said "certainly, with ice or no ice." I said... Stop, now why would you pour me another cup of coffee if it can harm me but you don't want to top off my cup with coffee? She got mad.... I was mad. Of course, I think honestly. These are the most rude and money hungry, despicable people to practice business. It's safe to say, I will never go back to this business and or recommend them to anyone else. Yeah, this is just a review to some people. But if you like to drink your coffee black, how you like it, light ice and filled up. At this place it will cost you another 1.25 to fill it up. Hand to GOD So they charge you for the small. But want an extra 1.25 to fill it up. That's 6.25 for a cup of coffee. Meanwhile they gave me a despicable look and says "it's only 1.25 more." The double tongued policy adjustment and the service doesn't meet the standard for anyone to spend a buck with these people. "Our coffee is strong. So we can't top off your drink for your health reasons, unless you pay 1.25 more." It is exactly what they said. Thee ambiance gives cool vibes but it is far less then. read more
This place has so many Matcha options! If this is what you're looking for, this is your spot. We decided to try this coffee shop mainly for the Matcha. The banana Matcha, while the foam was delicious, the Matcha itself lacked flavor. It was a bit watered down and didn't have that Matcha taste. While the tiramisu latte was excellent! If you like strong coffee, that is the drink for you. It is well balanced, and delicious. An honorable mention is the hibiscus tea, if you love a good Jamaica, this drink is for you. read more

Surprisingly the coffee shop was open on Labor Day! I saw some Yelp reviews and really want to come by. We went in for a quick pick up and I ordered the Matcha Raspberry Oat Milk. As we waited, I noticed the place had such a cute vibe and it seemed pretty popular. There were people sitting and enjoying company with their morning coffees. As soon as we got our order, we left. I have been on a matcha crave lately and for sure this is now one of my faves. My drink was sweet, creamy yet perfectly balanced between the earthy taste of matcha and tart of the raspberry. I will definitely come back again when I'm in the area. Quick and friendly customer service too! read more

Discovered this place from a past Yelp event and came back to try another flavor drink. Like my first visit, upon entering was still very pleased by bright decor. This time it wasn't as crowded inside and seats were open. I ordered the Ube matcha coffee for myself ( asked for easy ice , I remember there was too much during my yelp experience). First time trying Ube in a drink and guess I am not a fan of it , the flavor for me was meh. My boyfriend got the same drink he ordered last time , hazelnut coffee ( easy ice). Sadly I do not think we will return here, I Know Vietnamese coffee is known To be strong, but theirs was super STRONG ( atleast for us ). We both felt super weird after. Even though we asked for easy ice in the hazelnut they still packed it in so much when we tried to mix with the paper straw , it broke the straw lol . read more
the raspberry oat milk matcha!!!!! Soooo good, i'm pretty sure they muddle actual raspberries in there. It was so good not too sweet. Definitely would get again! I ordered the iced banana matcha with a chocolate croissant, and both were delicious and ~$12 which is a fair price in my opinion. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the café is well kept! There is plenty of seating and outlets indoors for studying or working, and there is also outdoor seating available. Parking is easy as the café is in the same plaza as Target. I will be sure to come back each time I am in the area. read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Most of the tables were taken and there was a small line, with a brief wait-time for the drinks. Service was friendly, the baristas all seemed to have their systems in place which made everything seem very prompt and efficient. We wound up with two banana drinks, one matcha and one coffee. The matcha was super creamy and sweet, the coffee was *strong* as expected (it's Vietnamese iced coffee so it's sorta a given), and the banana flavor was surprisingly rich and authentic. I definitely want to come back to try the blueberry matcha! Overall, a super solid low-key fancy spot with lots of options. And if you're looking for a laidback vibe, don't watch them working behind the counter lol. read more

My first time here! I tried their raspberry hojicha oat milk and it reminded me of a chocolate raspberry dessert. The flavors go well together! You can adjust the sweetness and ice level. Highly recommend adjusting the sweetness because I got 75% and thought it was a little too sweet. The parking situation at this plaza is a nightmare. Visited recently to work for a bit. I got the Blue Butterfly Pea Tea Latte. It was a little on the sweet side but I enjoyed it overall. I also got the apple croissant which was pretty basic, but a nice snack. The cafe was clean, with ample seating and the staff were efficient and kind. I think I'll visit again. read more

So very pretty venue and beautifully designed with this openness and color that is bright with a focus on white, black and green. It's definitely a great place to chill by yourself and walk your way through the highly caffeinated drinks. I got the black sesame espresso and it's so strong. I wish they put less ice because for slurps and the thing was done! Price wise it is pretty pricey for a cup, but it feels like most coffees are over six dollars now. But if you need a Java kick, I don't think price really matters! Is within a plaza with plenty of parking. read more

trung has become my fave coffee place of all time. quick and friendly, a good selection of flavors to choose from and they are consistent- everytime i go the coffee tastes the same and is equally delicious as always. i find myself choosing trung over basically every coffee shop, and personally like it better than other vietnamese coffee shops like airoma and da vien. 10000/10 get the banana coffee read more
Visiting long beach from out of town and this spot was highly placed on yelp. Went in and grabbed the banana match and it was delicious! It's not terribly sweet, the banana and matcha flavor work great together. The too layer of foam was delicious and made the whole drink so creamy. Wish I was local so I could keep going back! My sister recommended that I give this place a try so we went here to get the coconut pink berry foam drink and I was definitely impressed. It was very refreshing, it had the perfect amount of sweetness to it. The pink foam was good, gave it a nice flavor. The staff members were really nice and friendly. The drinks came out efficiently. I ordered the peaches and cream coconut water and my husband got the banana matcha. Both drinks were made so well but I was impressed with my beverage. I tend to sip my drink but I almost finished it before we got out of the parking lot. Service was friendly and our drinks were made in a short amount of time. Ambiance was bright with tables and chairs but they were all filled up inside: There were a couple tables and chairs outside. There's plenty of parking located in the plaza. My drink was great and so was my wife's. You can really taste banana flavor. Definitely will come back. Service was great and quick. The shop itself has many seating options and outdoors as well. Located right next to a nail salon and dry cleaner in the Target shopping center this place was easy to find....parking however was bit trickier! Set again a busy enough street and multiple businesses made up close parking hard so just be prepared for that. Folks inside were real nice, we tried 2 of their menu items- Black seseame & Banana cream - and also a plain hot Americano. Now I have some metal in mouth and like my coffee hot but not incredibly so, so I was ok with temperature- but my MIL and husband said there's were not hot enough, especially the americano since it only had a splash of milk. I did appreciate the employee was able to accommodate me and turning my banana cream cold drink (as per the menu) into a hot drink... It just meant removing the cold foam and using banana syrup in the coffee itself which I thought tasted amazing. The inside is very minimalist seating but they had a couple chairs and tables on the front patio walkway area as well. I don't live over here, but I will be back when I'm in the area. Went here for an afternoon coffee. Ordered the phin milk and salted crème coffees. It was okay, both drinks were extremely dark, which I guess is their trademark and tasted like a Da Vien dupe. It's a little too milky for me but may be okay for someone else. read more
One of the best banana coffees I have ever tried!!! The banana cream was so fresh, you can taste the real bananas!! It was so delicious mixed altogether!!! They have a wide selection of creams and you can top it on a latte, vietnamese coffee, or matcha. read more
I came here during the Yelp event from Evan and the Yelp LB Crew. I came back and tried that Peanut Butter Latte and Peach Cheese Danish. I also did some work from here, it was quite pleasant. The parking was a breeze. The service was quick even though there were so many customers, some getting coffee and goods to go and others staying to study and work. It is nice to get Vietnamese coffee near the ocean. It's such a cute cafe to meet friends and study only a block from cal state Long Beach. The lighting inside is cool and refreshing, that's what I felt the moment that I went in. And the matcha is good quality, so is the ube. I enjoyed chilling there with my drink and take some esthetic photographs of the interior. The drink was tasty. The only thing is double check your order before pay, it gets so busy that they can get your order wrong sometimes. I just accepted the drink I got because it's one of my to-try drinks anyways. Other than that, the staffs are friendly and the wait time is pretty quick! So will be back for other drinks! read more
Trung Nguyen E-Coffee brings authentic Vietnamese Egg Coffee to Long Beach. It's located across the street from CSULB and it's a great spot to get very potent Vietnamese Coffee. If you're a CSULB student cramming for finals, then they got you. Egg coffee is their signature drink. It isn't cheap as it costs $7.25, but it will definitely get you wide awake. Egg coffee is known for its infusion of egg yolk and condensed milk, which gives a nice custardy sweetness to the very strong drink. This is the only spot in LB that I know of for Vietnamese "Egg Coffee" (though they may have it at some Vietnamese Restaurants), so I definitely appreciate the ability to try this outside of Westminster/Garden Grove. If you enjoy coffee, then you should consider trying it this way! read more
