Unfortunately, law attracts (mostly) slick and smart con-artists, and you will be lied to and used by most of them. These individuals simply don't care about you. I hired Joshua Price in the summer of 2022. My case took a bit of time. It was a process, but that entire time, I was never made any promises. I was never given false hope. I was given the hard facts and realistic expectations. I was never charged anything other than one flat rate. Joshua knew that I couldn't afford a lawyer, but it wasn't a problem because he had flat rates, so I knew there would be no surprise costs. I managed to scrape up the money and hired him to represent me. This was the best decision I've ever made! The courts were being difficult. Joshua told me that if we took my case to trial, there was a small chance that I'd win, but a bigger chance that I'd lose. He never pressured me one way or the other. He always gave me the facts and let me decide. He was very neutral about going to trial. He knew that I didn't have any money, so he didn't want to push going to trial, especially since he knew my chances of winning were low. He always reminded me that there were no guarantees. When I informed Joshua that my brother and my cousin had insisted that my case go to trial and that they had also insisted on paying for the trial fee, he said okay and started planning for my trial, but then, he took it upon himself to talk to the judge just one more time. I didn't even know that he was going to talk to the judge, but when he called me afterwards and gave me the news (CASE DISMISSED!!!), I just couldn't believe it! I couldn't believe that he chose the integrity of my case over thousands of dollars in his pocket! He could have made a lot of money off me. He knew that I had it and was ready to hand it over to him. The point is that Joshua Price is a GOOD and HONEST lawyer, which is a miracle! After I got the call from Joshua, informing me that my case had been DISMISSED, I promised him that I would write this review, but a lot of time has passed since then. I really didn't want to write this because I'm a very private person and for me, I prefer to keep these matters to myself. I certainly don't think it should be published online, but I honestly couldn't live with myself because Joshua TRULY deserves to be acknowledged for his honesty and his passion. I provided a complete file from my prior attorney and was told that her office would take over and begin working on my case. Months went by with very little communication. The day before a court appearance, her office began urgently contacting me, telling me I needed to go to the courthouse in San Diego to obtain paperwork because they were unable to get it remotely. I was left scrambling at the last minute, extremely stressed, and trying to help their office gather documents that I had already explained were included in my previous attorney's file. When I arrived at court, Patricia did not appear herself and sent another person to represent me. The person who appeared seemed unfamiliar with my case and did not properly introduce herself or advocate on my behalf. During the hearing, I felt completely unsupported. The judge questioned who was appearing for me and why someone other than the expected attorney was there. I was left trying to explain and defend myself while feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed in front of my former spouse and his attorney. I hired legal representation because I wanted a fair chance and because my family worked hard to help me afford that support. Instead, I walked away from that hearing feeling humiliated and alone.
