Chelsey!! Chelsey!! Chelsey!! Ok -- So, the phrase "Oh, Sweet Baby Jesus!" went thru my head more than once during my one-hour signature facial with Chelsey. I got the works on my face, which started with a brow and lip wax. She was all up on me, making sure to get every little unwanted hair. Amazing! Yes! We chatted thru the waxing, having a good 'ole time. Ripping out someone's unwanted facial hair and being paid to do it is always so much fun, I'm sure! Once she was done, it was time to relax. As soon as those lights turned off and my eyes closed, all talking ceased. Chelsey and I have been friends for a while, but I loved that she let me relax while she did her thing. No talking! Huge plus! She used this tool thing that vibrated-massaged my face all while exfoliating. I've never experienced that before and it was awesome. She uses Dermalogica products. I have had facials before where I left still feeling like my skin was clogged and heavy. This was the first facial in a long time where my skin really felt deep-cleaned and detoxed, which is what my goal was. I have sensitive skin. During previous facials, estheticians have used products that burned or stung my skin when applied. None of these products did that, even after being waxed. The only thing I smelled in the product was a hint of roses. It's been about 3hrs and my skin still feels moisturized but lite; not super greasy or heavy. And soft!!!!! Massage! All together now: Oh, Sweet Baby Jesus! The massage! She massaged my face, neck, hands, arms, shoulders, upper chest, upper back, head -- I think I drooled a little. I loved that it was so quiet in the salon! Maybe because I was the only customer there at the time, but I didn't really hear anything other than the music and whir of the steamer and oils diffuser. Her room was so comfy and relaxing! Smelled like lavender and soft roses. Heated bed. Blankets. Fireplace heater. Sigh! Yes, I have my next appointment booked already. Jamie is awesome. She is down to earth, professional, and does her job well. Being an independent esthetician/owner she has special prices on messages, facials, and even waxing. I have been going to Jamie for several years now and I must say she is the best at everything she provides. Jamie never recommends something you don't need, but has good products if looking. I am a fairly new client-I have been only going to her for a year+ and can not say enough good things about Jamie! I didn't know her prior to being a client so this review is completely unbiased. First-her location-her suite is in a small complex across the street from the post office with ample street parking. Her suite smells divine, is a tranquil, and in quiet location-very welcoming. Second-her services- she offers pretty much everything! Personally I have had facials with and without microdermabrasion, eyebrow wax, eyebrow tint, spray tan, massage, body scrub. All were expertly done. Facials are to die for.. I can count on 1.5-2 hours of complete relaxation including neck, hand and foot massage. She does a consultation before she beings and lets you know what she thinks best for your skin in its current situation. She has years (I think at least 10-20?) in the business so she knows! Spray tans- I can count on a spray precisely sprayed (with Jamie crouching and twisting to ensure every square inch is perfectly tanned) Jamie the woman- incredibly sweet and genuinely interested in providing the most excellent care to her clients. She uses only high grade professional products and recommends Dermatological brand products. Her prices are more than fair for what you get (compared to large franchises/spas that rush you in and rush you out like a cattle call) after your service she brings you a glass of water infused with some kind of goodies-today had a fresh slice of apple. In the past I've had mint and lemon (or orange?) I don't remember but it was refreshing! Communication is always good and she texts to remind me of appointments. Today was the first time I went to Jamie's house of Skin Care and it was totally amazing. When I walked in Jamie was very friendly and I got a warm invitation when I entered her business. My service for today was a spray tan. The spray tan was amazing. Jamie definitely takes her time when she sprays you and is very professional. When Jamie finished with my spray tan I had a golden brown tan. She is so amazing and I was very satisfied with my service. I will be returning for further spray tans and I will also be getting a massage from her next week. If her spray tans are amazing than her massages are probably fabulous also.
