I was worried it would be too spicy but it was just the right amount and packed with flavor. I didn't specify medium rare (my favorite) and it was still cooked to perfection. We split an order of fries which came out piping hot and wonderfully crunchy. I also received a recommendation to try Mezzo Mix and was excited this place had bottles available. This is the third Schiller I'm going to, and by far one of the worst places I've ever walked into. It started with a standard order, which took them over 30 minutes to get to, when they did- they told my friend her burger is out of stock, so she had to order something else. Then we had to wait for another 15 minutes, by that time everybody got their orders, even people who ordered after we did. After a few minutes that our burgers were standing on the counter they figured out there were no fries. As I finally got up to get our orders I saw that they messed up my order and put tomatoes and onions inside, even though that's pretty much they first thing I learned to say in German. He offered to take it out, I refused and asked for a proper new one. After five minutes he brings me back my money for the burgers and let's me know there's a problem with the grill, by that time my friend is half way through her food and I'm just eating my burger. While we were still there the grill was back to a fully functioning mode and they asked me if I want my burger now, I said yes, and then he asked me to pay for it (total waiting time until now - 55 minutes) While I realized we have been here for over an hour I approached the cashier and asked him if he thinks it's reasonable I'd pay full price for a meal I've been waiting for over an hour, as an answer I got "do you want a present? Maybe flowers?" -"No, but I think I deserve se compensation" "I'm sorry but you are making the problem" Asked for my money back and left. I was never treated like that. They seemed very upset they had to "work" so hard for pleasing me, losing two burgers. The costumer is not always right- but know how to compensate people when you screw up!!!!!!! The famous homemade bun, which is even bought and used by some other burger joints is good as usual and the entire burger also works very well from the spiciness point of view. It`s hot, but you can still taste all the ingredients. The biggest let-down of the Wallenstein is the meat, whose degree of doneness is more than well done, which is a pity as it`s made from fresh high-quality beef. Too bad, that the patty is too dry, it could otherwise be an excellent spicy alternative. They use a special sauce on the bread, and I am suspicious it is tomato based. The fries are big and crunchy; this is a rarely feature given that usually when they are big, they are squishy rather than crunchy. I had a good meal for 18Euros. If you order the meal that I told you about, you wont only get an extra salad, but a cold drink and a hot drink.

The staff knew our orders and customizations, and would always be so excited to see us that we started going even if we weren't very hungry just because it was such a happy atmosphere. My friend is vegan and, when she told them, they immediately began to fry her French fries in separate oil to ensure they wouldn't be contaminated with meat. They always clarify our orders more than once to be sure they don't make a mistake, and do so with genuine care. We are always greeted in English, even though it is not their first or second language. The food is so amazing I have dreams about it; I want them to cater my wedding, funeral, anything. It's made with such love and deliberateness that we were floored today when we found out there are multiple locations, as everything is prepared with the type of focus and attention one normally only sees from a small business.
