First time trying Tsaocca and it won't be my last! Best fruit tea I've ever had! I tried their pineapple green tea with nata jelly--instead of fake pineapple flavor like some places, this was clearly fresh pineapple juice, plus a slice of lime in the tea added a little something extra. So delicious. One thing I liked is you can choose the level of sweet you want your drink to be. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors as well as food! Cafe was very cute and clean. read more

I recently checked out Tsaocaa with a friend and it did not disappoint! The drinks were great- she got one of their boba drinks, and I got a strawberry tea slush with 50% sugar upon request. She also got the chocolate Hong Kong waffle with ice cream and enjoyed it. I would have liked to try some of their food, but wasn't able to during this visit (through no fault of Tsaocaa). The plushies and other merch they had was very cute and I'll very likely buy something the next time I visit. The decor was also lovely, with some very happy plants in the windows. The staff were also friendly and gave me no reason to doubt their skills. My only complaint is that the seating was just shy of being comfortable. My friend said the bench seating was a bit hard, and while the chair I sat in was soft, the arm rests made it a little too narrow for me (I'm plus size and have chronic pain, so finding truly comfortable seating can be a challenge at most places. As a note, anyone larger than a women's 3X probably wouldn't be able to comfortably sit in the chairs at all and would need to sit on the bench). Being that it's Christmas, I decided to get the kids a little treat they've been asking for since they aren't allowed a lot of sugar. I didn't feel like driving so I took the yelp and found this place close by that offered delivery service by DoorDash. Ordering online was very easy, we picked out what we wanted. Add to cart and within 25 minutes we received our drinks via the DoorDash. The drinks were delivered and left at our door in a cute little logo Tsaocaa bag all tied up. This is THE BOBA place you want to be in. The interior screams luxury, cuteness, and demure all in one and is perfect for studying, date nights, and hangouts. Was over in this area and suddenly started craving a Thai Tea. After doing a quick YELP search, landed upon this place. Ordering at the Kiosk was super easy and gave me a chance to see the plethora of options available. Stuck with my original craving and went 50% sweet. Delicious!!! So tasty. Hands down the best boba/Taiwanese tea I've found in KC so far. Bruu cafe is decent, but Tsaocaa has a lot more options and feels more authentic. It is closer in quality and drink availability to similar boba shops that I would encounter in a larger metro city. You order on a digital menu, and usually our drinks are ready within 10 minutes. Small seating area inside but I typically take mine to go so it's not a problem. I've had multiple different drinks from their menu and everything has been fantastic so far, from their smoothies, milk teas, fresh fruit teas, yogurt based drinks. Upon entering there are two self service kiosks which are very convenient for ordering. We ordered the passionfruit lime with brown sugar boba and the peach blossom with nata and brown sugar boba. Both with 50% sweetness, and they were still pretty sweet, next time I will go lower. I enjoyed the peach blossom as it is florals and has a fresh peach flavor. The boba was also cooked well. Overall I was satisfied and would return to try other drinks. If you like popping boba, this menu has a lot of drinks with them. Both drinks we tried were both VERY sweet to me, but I know that's just my taste buds too. But there's hope! you can adjust the sweetness level on any drink! If you think an average Starbucks latte is too sweet, I'd recommend going half on the sugar here. I four-starred it simply for the price! I tried a grapefruit mojito flavor drink, which was essentially flavoring and pelegrino water, for over $7. I'd expect that from a white tablecloth restaurant, but not a walk up boba place. My favorite boba tea shop! They have every flavor you can think of and all the drinks I've had have been amazing. The staff is always helpful and the shop is always clean. I love how they open for the holidays so we take the whole family there. Our new Thanksgiving tradition! I've never been a fan of popping boba but some reason theirs is so good! TL;DR: The boba is good, but the tea leaves a lot to be desired. Much better places to buy $6 drinks in OP (I would recommend #1 Ding Tea, #2 Ari Delights, #3 Gocha, #4 Kung Fu Tea) I was excited to try Tsaocaa since tea-forward boba and other drinks was one of my favorite parts of studying abroad in Hong Kong, but Tsaocaa is definitely not that. I thought the first drink might be a fluke, so I tried a few different types of drinks from here and was disappointed every time. The regular boba (called amber boba here) isn't the problem (I actually enjoy it a lot)--it's the flavor profile of the drinks. The Peach Milk Green Tea with Peach Boba tasted really artificial, the Uji Matcha had a seaweedy kind of sour bitterness to it, and the Sakura Milk Oolong wasn't very flavorful in general. There are a number of pretty decent boba places in OP, so hit up one of those instead. If you still want to try Tsaocaa, totally fair, just keep in mind that this location isn't a great place to work. The wifi isn't very accessible--we had to ask a staff member what it was and couldn't hear her the first three times, then the password she gave us didn't work. I ordered online and they marked my order as ready before I think it was even humanly possible to have been done. This is not a complaint, but just something to keep in mind because I was probably 15 minutes away when I placed the order so then I felt kind of rushed to get there not expecting the order to be ready quite so quickly. When I arrived, it was slightly busy so I felt a little unsure where to find my order and I didn't want it to seem like I was "cutting the line" to ask at the counter, but they did have my order there and I grabbed it and headed out with my brown sugar boba and waffle that was still warm. I appreciated the nice cup the drink came in. It's nice enough to be reusable to some extent. The waffle was warm and crisp but not very exciting. Of course, I just go the "plain" waffle so maybe a different flavor option would be more exciting. When I got home, I ended up dipping it in some strawberry pancake syrup we had on hand and it gave it a little more excitement. It's a nice place, wish they had a few more snack options maybe, but I'll likely be back as this is on one of my normal routes when I'm out and about. read more

A+ Japanese Kaarage (fried chicken) - the presentation was a little lackluster, but fried food doesn't really travel well, so I can't really fault them for that. The breading held together pretty well, actually. Texture was good, slightly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Sauce was good. No one told me that Tsaocaa opened up in the KC area?!?! I was shocked to find it and again...I had to try it out! This would definitely be my new favorite boba shop in KC. You can order at the front, but they have a self-order kiosk at the front to get your drinks. Drinks are pretty pricey here, but it seems to be about the same as Bruu Cafe and other boba stores around. The drinks and toppings here are very good; maybe it's a good thing that it's really far away because all my money would be spent here if I had the chance too. Super cute decor as well here! It reminds me the boba tea in Taiwan!! This is the taste of home!! Definitely recommend this tea place without doubt. The flavor is authentic and rich and it is not watery or sugary like most of the boba tea I've tried here in KC area. (This is the second one I found in this big KC area) The shop design is IG inspired style (it has decorative wall for taking photos and for costumers to upload to IG) and I like it. It's bright , clean and neat. The menu design is also nice to have all the calories cited on the side. The price is also reasonable for its size and quality of drink. And like a boba tea shop should be, you can adjust the sugary level. The service is pretty as expected (greeting when they find you enter the shop, take order when you are ready to order and call the number when your order is ready) It would be nice if they can remind the costumers where to order, because their order table is all the way in the back with no sign. The front desk is for pickup the drink. And it seems that they also have a machine to take self-orders. My favorite boba place to date! I was in the Kansas area for a summer trip, and as I was looking for a bubble tea place, this one popped up and it looked nice so decided to give it a try. Arrived and ordered the Sakura milk tea. As I waited for my drink, I looked around the place. It was very sanitary, and had some cute decorations and even a Lego Eiffel Tower replica, which I thought was pretty cool. The service was on par and easy. My drink tasted great.
