I don't believe Ttobongee has reserved parking, which basically leaves diners to round the parkinglot multiple times. There was no wait upon arrival. We were seated quickly and ordering is all done via the kiosk at each table. Daikon, gloves, water, and a basket for bones was immediately provided. The Yang Nyum chicken is spicy and sweet. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the civil and quieter atmosphere in the restaurant once I stepped into the restaurant (no idea if that is representative of a weekday lunch hour). When I made it clear to the waitress that I don't want to sit near a TV, she seemed to understand and offered another table that's faced away from the traffic. She was perfectly accommodating. The food I ordered was good! Not overpriced like the other restaurant, and it was authentic enough (by Korean/Korean American standards). I ordered a half jjajangmyun/half fried rice dish. They also give you a clear soup on the side, that pairs well with the fried rice. It could be 1.5-2 servings, depending on how much a person has for lunch. For me, it was closer to 1-- haha. On a personal note, Korean-Chinese "fusion" food reminds me of moving days. I have been meaning to come here for a long time, but the wait time on prior attempts has always been 30-40 minutes and the groups I was with didn't want to wait. I finally got to try today as there was zero wait and we got seated immediately. And what is even more hilarious/ironic to me is that the half Ttobongee order (which consists of chicken legs and wings), specifically the legs, must have come from dinosaurs because they're MASSIVE. The wings were normal wing size so no surprises there. Overall this is a delicious place, but I felt like the whole chicken order was a little deceptive. We got the Gochu mayu fried boneless chicken, jja jang myun, and sodduck sodduck (rice cakes and sausage on a stick).
