And this has been a lot of decision making for our new home. The fact that we were here for multiple hours and I didn't feel like we were shopping just shows how great she is keeping the conversation good and distracting while still pulling out the information needed to make our home perfect. she even informed us about the next steps and told us some tips on selecting lights that would go well with what we had just picked out. She respected my time frame and was efficient and clear in her quote. I accepted the quote, and they were already booked for the season, and so let me know I would be on the list for spring. I contacted them last week to ask for a timeframe for scheduling. I received a call on Thursday afternoon, and they scheduled me for today, Monday of the following week. The installers came out this morning and I now have brand new gutters. The person I talked to on the phone was very knowledgable. My husband had requested a hooded gutter, and the representative showed me what a screened gutter looked like. He told me that hooded gutters in an area with a heavy snowfall encourage ice dams and are easily damaged, and gutter screens work much better for our climate. The installer were polite. They rang the doorbell to let us know they had arrived, and began their work. At the end of the install, they rang the doorbell again to let me know that they were done and to collect payment. However the written proposal came at "$150 per door and $300 per window and $250 per mobilization". He did not explain this when I questioned. Instead he said the total cost came in higher because of things he forgot about. That part I can understand, but not the manipulation of the individual costs that were agreed on. The proposal was incomplete and lacking information such as # of doors and # of windows. Just a dollar amount. Very unprofessional and lacking information. Based on this, I wouldn't trust any further work, just because of this one person. While the actual workers may have done a great job, this employee cost the company this job.
