Controversial opinion: the best part of Tucanos is there beans and rice. It is delicious with their vinaigrette and a side of cheese bread and fried bananas. BUT I don't want to pay $26 dollars for some beans and rice and a mediocre salad bar and overcooked meat. I might feel differently if you could hear your dinner party and have an enjoyable time but it's just so darn loud! I'd say to skip it and get beans and rice at Lucy's Brazilian kitchen or only go for weekday lunch.. read more

My favorite Tucanos restaurant. The night we went just so happened to also be prom night. It was very busy. Even though it was so busy, my family and I got great service. When we asked for a larger piece of meat, we were never told no unlike the other Tucanos restaurants we have been to in Salt Lake and Farmington. We will be coming back. read more

First things first- Jacob was the absolute best server we have ever had!! He was so attentive to our needs always asking if we had special requests for certain meats cooked certain ways and made those requests happen quickly. It was very refreshing. Can I give him a 6 star rating?? As far as the food, 3 stars......and the grilled pineapple bumps it up a star itself. A whole lot of below average meat in my mind. The location has moved, and it's great! We went there two nights ago for an anniversary and it was tremendous! Staff was as friendly as ever, the food was great, and Kelly, the floor manager, did such a great job! We're ASL interpreters and enjoy turning our voices off at meals to focus in more on each other. Finally! Went here for dinner to celebrate an anniversary! Let me tell ya - you CANNOT come here at the end of April for dinner without a reservation due to BYU graduation (eyes rolling!). Unfortunately our anniversary lands at end of April and we made the mistake of walking in here last year without a reservation, only to find out it was a 3 hour wait...at 5:30pm....so we walked out and settled for Texas Roadhouse across the way. So this year - we actually made reservations and got seated right away. First off, I think you have to be fasting the whole day before you come here for dinner! Was def a food feast! Started with the food buffet section. Tried their crab salad, and crab bisque soup. Soup was pretty amazing considering it was in the buffet section! Creamy and full of flavor. Crab salad was OK, they used imitation crab. When we finally made it back to the table, turned up that wooden sign to GREEN and opened up the flood gates of unlimited meats!! I was a bit disappointed that they stopped serving salmon and only had tuna (yuck). However their meats were quite delightful and each server took mental note of how you wanted your meat done - I felt spoiled and felt like a queen being served her food! The manager was delightful and took note it was our anniversary and gave us a free dessert - their mango ice cream cake was sooo refreshing and just really a great way to finish off a meal. Our server had great recommendations and loved the fact that I got to try their different flavors of limeade - which of course my favorite ended up being the GUAVA limeade - was sooo good! Super fast service, and super tasty food. I was super satisfied with the whole experience.

First time at a tucanos and it was awesome! Plenty of meat choices along with a fresh salad bar with some great crab and parm salad. My favorites were the limeade (mango and guava), New York Strip and bacon wrapped steak. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty great too as well as the grilled veggies! The dessert was just okay. 10/10 for dessert presentation though! read more

I throughly enjoy Brazilian food and the meats. I visited this specific restaurant and was very disappointed by the service and the food quality of a "Brazilian Grill". In 75 minutes I was presented with 7 pieces of meat and three of them were burnt that were unchewable. The restaurant was not busy and definitely had a lack of effort by staff. read more

Very impressed overall. Salad bar was really great. Was surprised by how good the lobster bisque was. Cheese bread was just okay. It isnt served individually. Lots of good hotnsides and the fried bananas were excellent. Large variety of meats. All pretty salty even for me. Not every Brazillian steakhouse serves grilled pineapple, but they have it here. The pineapple lemonade was brilliant! My only complaint would be not having chimichurri sauce. Okay, so we made reservations and did a wedding luncheon here, and everyone had a great time! The food was awesome, the servers were super friendly and helpful with everyone, and all around it was a great event. Worst dinning experience in a long time. If you don't have a reservation don't go. The staff is very unprofessional and so rude. We checked in at 5 and was Told If we could get our party here in 15 mins they would seat us. So our group rush to make it on time. Then we were told they had no tables and it would be a hour wait. Then the staff talked about us and pointed as they clearly discussed us. Will not go back and I would avoid it if you want decent service and to be treated kindly! I'm not one too normally go out of my way to voice frustrations about restaurants because I try to be understanding, but I am not going back to Tucanos. Only one employee out of all the staff was wearing a mask. I think it's one thing if a restaurant does or does not require patrons to wear masks, especially because the mandate is over, but we felt extremely uncomfortable with how packed the restaurant was and how many employees handling food and going between tables were not wearing masks. We ordered takeout and were not all that impressed by the food either, so our choice to not come back doesn't sadden us very much. read more

Tucanos Brazilian Grill is a complete masterpiece of a restaurant. It is a place where you dine like a king and revel in the fact that we humans are at the top of the food chain. As soon as you enter you can tell this place is much more than your average dining experience. It is a truly beautiful sight, waiters with skewers full of meat rushing from table to table to fill your mouth with bacon wrapped goodness. The wondrous smell of roasted and seasoned animals fills your nostrils. The sound of the intense Brazilian music. It was all so perfect. I sat down with my family and waited for the rest of my party to arrive. At first I thought that the fast paced music was somewhat unsettling while casually chatting with my family. This changed quite quickly. I would like all of you to learn from my foolish mistakes. Forgive me for I was a naïve boy at the time but now I have evolved into an enlightened meat being. I went to the "salad festival". Yes, I know, that was a rookie move. You need to leave all the room you can for the main show, the meat. They even have to call it a festival to make people interested in it. Let's be real here it's just a salad bar. That is no festival. No salad bar in the history of the world has been worth celebrating. Nobody goes to a restaurant and says "They have a salad bar!!!!" Most of the time the best you get is a "hmm, cool, salad" But seriously the salad is good but don't be a fool. Learn from my mistakes. All the food they have is great but let's be real you go to a Brazilian STEAKhouse for a reason. I filled my plate full of fruits, bread, mashed potatoes. Then I sat down and prepared for the show to start. For those of you who are unfamiliar with how it works, the waiters bring various meats to your table and will continue to bring them unless you flip your little cylinder indicator to red. They will stop going to your table until you flip out back to green. The waiters began to bring us meats and I accepted every one they offered. I tried to finish the food I had gotten from the buffet but the constant supply of meat made it very difficult. I tried to make room on my plate for the next piece that was quickly approaching, but it was too fast. Yet I refused to flip over that cylinder. I knew that to flip over that cylinder was to admit defeat. I could not give up. Not now. I had worked to hard to see all my efforts amount to nothing. I took a swig of my Brazilian limade and went to work. This was a war and I was not going to lose. I now understood why they were playing such intense Brazilian music. If you are able to chew to the beat of the music, you finish right before the waiter comes to your table. I let the beat of the drums fill my soul and I emerged victorious. I ate every kind of meat they had and it was amazing. To all meat lovers: this place is heaven. To all vegetarians: you need to rethink your life. Moving locations seemed to breathe new life into this restaurant. They were very busy on the night I went, but we were seated quickly and servers constantly checked on us all night. The food was delicious, the service was incredible, and the restaurant was very clean. Even though it was somewhat loud and excited in moments, in general I was able to hold a really good conversation with a long time friend. This was my first time at this new location since it moved from Riverwoods, and they have really stepped it up! I had a great experience. We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a great time. The thing I was impressed with most was how well we were taken care of by our servers. In particular, they were very conscious of how each of us liked our meat cooked and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I really liked the vibe their workers were letting off. The salad bar was clean and well stocked. It was fun to try some of the different Brazilian specialties. I especially loved the fried bananas. A number of years ago I went to Tucanos in Albuquerque and was not thrilled. This one in Orem was great! Eight of us went and it couldn't have been much better. The food was great. The service was on point. They did a nice job bring the meat around and if we wanted something specific they made it happen. Of course we ended up in a meat coma but that is to be expected. If you want delicious food, and all you can eat meat, you've found the right place. They will bring meat around until you roll out the door. my favorites: turkey wrapped in bacon, grilled pineapple, grilled garlic vegetables, garlic sirloin (my ultimate favorite), lobster bisc soup. not of fan of the chicken hearts or brisket the salad bar has a great variety. love the shrimp. I only wish this place wasn't so loud. the servers come around a lot faster than they use to. don't be afraid to ask for more of something, or say no to certain things. This was my first time at this newer location and I thought it was great! The extra space is very helpful. The food was delicious and the servers were very friendly and helpful. I've never really been a fan of when they come around and try to tell you to get dessert and other specials, but we've learned to not waste our time on those options. Just stick to the regular meal and you won't be disappointed. They asked us what our meat doneness preferences were and they brought exactly what we asked for! Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and thought it was a great place to go for lunch with our bigger group (they were even extra considerate and patient with the two toddler who were with us). One note: they don't allow strollers inside the front waiting area, which isn't a big deal but there may be some customers coming straight from the mall who will have to leave their strollers inside the entrance while they eat. read more
