Wish I could rate it 0 stars but, I cannot. Management is beyond terrible. The so called manager, should definitely be fired or suspended immediately. 0 lack of respect for the customers who's paying you and keeping your company running. not only was their bowling lanes consistently needed service, and when a work member is needed, THEY ARE NO WERE TO BE SEEN, and the so called manager proceeds to state it's a "user error" for any lanes being broken like, oh yes I forgot I'm in the back of the bowling alley messing with the mechanics! more than twice did it happen and I asked and mentioned extremely politely if any mechanic problems occur to us only AGAIN if it's possible to get a refund, and I received the upmost disrespectful tone from the "manager". What kind of management and manager are you if you cannot accommodate or even flat out be respectful to your customers who are keeping your god damn company afloat. Pathetic ass company. read more

It was alright... there was a huge mistake from another bowling lane that resulted in my reservation moving to this bowling alley. It seems like they didn't have time to really fit us in and we felt very rushed because of how busy they were already going to be. We had kids so we had the ramp, and they were coming and asking if we were still using it. Like, yes we still have the kids? I felt so bad for the guy at the counter, he was alone and getting SLAMMED. The food was okay, expensive and average but I mean that's expected right? read more

Took our crew out for some sober fun and community connection. Big group, big energy--and the staff was welcoming, quick to engage, and ready to troubleshoot. Case in point: one of our lanes had a dramatic lean, and I cracked the mystery wide open thanks to my bowling balls consistently choosing the gutter like it was their destiny. This is an old school ally. We had kids bowl free passes this summer so we made the drive out to take advantage of the indoor fun. The arcade games are generous and we walked away with some claw machine loot. The bowling is fun too. Everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. We didn't eat but there was a standard snack bar. Has a great Monday special. Cheap bowling for two hours. Haven't tried the food, so can't comment on that. The place is a bit dated, specially the scoring apparatus. The machine is difficult to figure out. It is more so when there is someone in the next lane, because it's not obvious what lane is being controlled. Sometimes there are plenty of lanes available, and yet someone is put right there next to you. It would be nice to get a buffer lane when it's not that busy. Having said that, the place is clean, although sometimes it gets a bit warm in there. read more

Highly considerate service and family-friendly options make the difference at Tucson Bowl. We spent an afternoon there for a mini-family reunion and agree with most of the reviews: * The facility is aging but functional * Shoes and balls are a mix of new and very well-used * Food is a little pricey, but decently sized. We ordered 2x fries and 2x soft pretzels (orders come with two pretzels, four total) for two tables (nine adults, two kids) and were fine on finger foods. Fries were very popular at our tables! * Beer available in ice buckets (again, very considerate) * Very large arcades for a bowling alley, complete with claw games, gumball candies, and small toys * The entire staff were patient and friendly, even with (our) kids running amok * Patrons were friendly as well -- a nice mix of regulars and friendly newcomers. (Not to stereotype, but even the teenagers hanging out were cool and respectful to the owner and property. It says a lot that exterior walls and bathrooms weren't covered in tagging.) * My only disagreement with prior reviews was that it was definitely not cold. We were there in January and the room temp was probably pushing 77 or 78 -- closer to 80 near the walls. However, we were in a lane against an exterior wall with the sun on it, so take it with a grain of salt. It had no effect on how much fun we had. The men were a little warm but the women were pleasantly comfortable. Bottom line: great bowling experience as long as you're not looking for a pristine, never-been-used-before bowling alley. This establishment used to provide a fun bowling experience. However in the recent past it has gone downhill rapidly. The equipment and lanes are constantly in need of repair. The scoring equipment is woefully out of date and also is constantly breaking down. Add to this the temperature in the house is too cold (usually in the middle sixties) too cold to have an enjoyable time. We try to support neighborhood businesses, so we ventured out to Tucson Bowl near our home to try the pizza. Only one size (16") is too large for 2 people, Classic is expensive (no green peppers, sausage nothing special, no discount for putting some toppings on only half, and NO REFILLS on beverages (diet soda or iced tea, more ice than fluid). On young man saw our frustration and got us two large ice waters... counter person did nothing to appease us or provide customer service. Disappointed. read more

We come here just to mess around, play a few games, bowl, people watch, snack. It's a great, cool, hangout! Sure a few things new some care, ie; some tables & chairs but otherwise, it's a huge blast. Snack bar is also very yummy and they have a large variety of food to choose from. Plenty of outside parking, plenty of inside bowling lanes, daycare area, play room, clean bathrooms and a bar. I also want to point out, the majority of the time we go, a lady named Mary Miller is at the counter or running around working. She is VERY polite, positive and has a great warm smile. Sad. We were hoping to have a fun family night. Jake the manager squashed our hopes. First of all, he would not accomodate bumpers for the little kids. Therefore, the little kids hit gutter balls each toss, and yes there were tears. I tried my best to keep them encouraged and teach them how to bowl. However at the start of the 10th frame, our 1 hour was up. We each had one more turn to complete our only game. I asked Jake if we could just finish our last frame and he refused. We will find a new bowling alley. It's too bad that Tuscon Bowl didn't provide good customer service. We wanted to support a smaller business but we were not treated very nicely. My girlfriend and I took her mom and stepdad here the day after Christmas as a surprise gift and we all had an amazing time! My girlfriend and I live in California so she called about two weeks prior and made the reservation for the 4 of us and it was a very easy process from start to finish. It was priced more than fairly and their excellent service when we got there was an even bigger bonus. Her folks and myself ordered their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and it was a great meal to go along with the 3 games we bowled. Came here on a little date night with the wife after a few other places. You can tell that the place is slightly outdated but it was pretty clean and organized. The prices where great at 4.99 a person per game and 6.00 for shoes. So two games with me and her with shoes was about $29. You can also pay hourly but didn't make sense with just us two. The thing that dropped down the rating is that due to covid you don't get to pick your own ball. They have someone there that does it. She told me, "I can tell by your fingers and you are a 14lbs ball user". Umm the size off my fingers don't dictate how strong my arms are haha. So I dropped down to a 13 and just let it be. I usually use a 11 or 12 but she said that I could cause the holes where to small. Hmm that's strange as that's what I always use. All in all it was fun, I'll just wait till after covid to go back. read more

Great place to bring the kids to escape the heat. Most workers were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the bar doesn't open until 5. They do serve a few bottled beers at the snack counter, but options are very limited and it's pricey for basic bottled beer. read more

Fun spot, I like it. Prices are reasonable, they have a lot of lanes for a small spot, they oil the lanes pretty well, & there is always seating available. The bar has a lot of drink specials; I usually grab the Blue Moon pitcher, but domestic bottles are only $1.90 late night. (All the bartenders have been awesome) The younger staff members don't clean anything, they roll their eyes at people, one of them likes to grab his nuts a lot when he talks to people his age, & the other night they asked people to pick up around the alley so they could go home earlier I don't blame young kids for being kids, but they're so awful it's funny. This place would jump from a 3 to a 4 instantly if they swapped out the younger staff. Unlimited bowling late night is only a couple bucks, it closes early Sunday, but they still have it from 8pm-11pm; that's not a bad thing, though; they have a few bars within walking distance, & places to eat nearby. Generally a clean, typical bowling alley. The place itself is kind of difficult to find, tucked away behind some buildings. Sign not very well lit. It's behind an ace hardware. Cosmic bowling is fun with your array of lasers and fog machines. Music is well put together. Drink and food area is kind of awkward. You're kinda just left awkwardly standing around the checkout area till someone notices you. Turned me off from getting food because I didn't want to be a burden. Got a soda from the bar lady, she was nice. Prices are reasonable I guess, I don't frequent bowling places. Bowling areas are clean and tidy. Trash cans are definitely full to the brim by closing time. Found myself having to shove my trash in. Vending machines are over priced, but I was hungry and didn't want to bother an attendant. Lost a star because the scoring kept messing up and we had a weird bowling situation that they couldn't explain or fix. We bowled anyway. Shoes are a bit loose and well worn. I'm usually a 10, could have worn an 8. Balls are all heavy weights. 9 and below are only fit for children. Kind of made me disappointed since I'm a light bowler. Had to work with a 10, ended up hurting my wrist and back. But I have bad form anyways. Would recommend to regular bowlers. read more

*smells the air* Take a big whiff of the smell of rental shoes and oiled floors mixed with the smell of the snack bar. It's a bowling alley of course many of them in Tucson need some TLC this is one of them. The 2 lanes I bowled on had a few cracks near the fowl line which having OCD you panic over every little detail. Don't let that stop you though! You usually can get coupons in flyer's that get mailed to you along with signing up for emails. Saves you a few dollars. I recommend updating the TV's to reasonable flat screens and replacing the flooring. But seeing as we aren't made of money, that will just need to be added onto the honey-to-do list. read more
