From the nurses to the doctors, they all care about people and being a safe and welcoming place to be treated. The wait to be seen and treated is quick. Cross posting from google reviews because 3 hours after posting hundreds or reviews flooded mine. Being charged a ridiculous amount after getting no help nor answers, I was given black label medication I wasn't told about and I absolutely wouldn't have agreed to take. Sent home to almost die a few hours later. Don't come here. They don't care. I saw Sean Maley. Update: In response to the comment from this business, I called more than once after I regained my ability to speak in full sentences, and I asked why I was given medication without my knowledge and I just got a bunch of "I don't knows" and "I don't think they'd do that" even after I was sent a survey regarding my visit, I was asked if I wanted a call back, I said yes and I never received one. So I don't know what speaking to this facility again would do to help me in anyway. I even requested my medical records from this facility, and I was never told that the doctor believed I had a serious condition even though it was entered in my notes. And of course, it ended up being exactly that, but I was never told. I am an adult and I should've been told all of this information and not found out later by reading doctors notes. And I also read in my notes that I left with a 2 out of 10 pain. I never ever told anyone that my pain was below a 10. Their "legal counsel " isn't licensed to practice law in the state of AZ. read more

Came in with what seemed to be their only patient at about 6am. Treated by doctor tarr with a disrespectful & dismissive attitude, no referrals despite us asking after they found multiple relatively common but serious internal organ issues. Did not listen or care about relevant medical history, seemed to have tunnel vision and became irritated at the patient for being low energy due to pain. We remained respectful throughout the interactions and continued to reiterate that we know it's complicated and they can't do it all, but would appreciate some guidance as young people new to the area. I am in utter disbelief at his lack of interest in providing--or even just pointing in the direction of someone who CAN provide--potentially life-saving treatment for a patient with serious internal organ problems. I came here with a friend who was experiencing chest pains. The staff saw him right away and were very friendly and professional. We ended up staying for several hours, as they needed to run follow-up tests three hours later, but the experience was as comfortable as it could be. We had a private room with a TV, which helped make the wait more manageable. They also gave him a folder with all of his test results, making it easy for him to follow up with his regular doctor. Overall, I really appreciated the prompt care and the kindness of the entire team. read more

I was sick right before Christmas, and I knew I needed to go to the ER, but I didn't want to wait for hours. I found this place and 10/10 recommend. I was seen so quickly, and the doctors and staff were terrific. I was there for around 3 hours from start to finish, and I know that if I had gone to one of the main hospitals out here, 3 hours would have probably been the amount of time I would have spent waiting to be seen. I hope I don't need to go to the ER anytime soon, but if I do, I'm definitely going to Tucson ER & Hospital. read more

My husband and I have both had fantastic experiences at Tucson ER & Hospital. I went this last Friday for severe knee pain. I'd been having issues but couldn't get into an ortho until June. The pain got worse after we'd been traveling. They suspected a blood clot, so they ran a lab test and had results in under an hour. Due to a high reading, they needed to do an ultrasound, and also decided to do an x-ray and MRI since I'd had problems for the past 5 months. All of these tests were done right there in under 4 hours. The wait was only for lab and radiology reports. Dr. Tarr was thorough, knowledgeable, and the kind of doctor you want to see. He visited with me 3 separate times about test results, answered all of my questions, and not once did I feel like he was in a hurry. He explained my knee issues and recommended a follow up with an ortho. A CD was provided in a folder with my MRI and xray info plus paper copies of the analysis for me to see. We had a similar experience 2 years ago with my husband's back issue. No waiting, helpful professionals, clean and quiet facility. (There's also a small, inpatient hospital but we haven't used that.) Another positive is that they offer outpatient services like MRI, x-ray, and blood tests. With a dr order, you could most likely schedule same or next day. You can also pay out of pocket for these and the prices seem very reasonable. Costs are published on their website. (Example, an MRI right now is $550.) I like that kind of transparency plus easy scheduling and minimal wait. The only negative is that since they are physician owned, they can't charge Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or AHCCSS due to a federal rule. But if you have private/commercial insurance, this is definitely the place to go! 100% recommend! read more

Took my elderly neighbor here after he fell and split his head open. The website says "insurances accepted". Most urgent cares closed at 8 pm, so found this one online. They wanted $1200 to see him, didn't take his Medicare, unwrapped his bandaged head, glanced at the wound, said he should go elsewhere and said it would be expensive for him to rewrap it. Said he should get a CT to rule out internal bleeding but would cost him $1750. Ridiculous! read more

My partner was just turned away after hitting her head from a bike fall. They said they couldn't do a CT scan without a referral from my doctor! What? An Urgent Care near my home said to go immediately there to get a CT scan because I was disoriented and unstable on my feet. What is the point of these folks if not an urgent issue with a 76 year old. I had to be driven to the ER on La Cholla that immediately cared for me and administered a CT scan. Don't waste a trip to these people. read more

Facility is a private hospital &, as such, cannot accept Medicare or any other Gov't backed insurance plan. Only private insurance is permissible or cash. My visit went smoothly. Seen by an MD first, not a PA or PN as I would have at an Urgent Care. Lab work is done on site which gives the doctor near-immediate results. At discharge, I was seen by the same doctor who gave me his diagnosis. He also prescribed 2 medications which he stated would be sent to my pharmacy. This is where things went south. The staff never sent the scripts to the pharmacy. It took 2 calls to them in order to get the scripts to my pharmacy. This I have to downgrade them on. Other than that, if I ever need emergency care that involves more than an Urgent Care can handle, I'd gladly return with the knowledge of knowing their weaknesses. read more

Never heard of this place - was DREADING LONG WAITS at ER/Urgent Cares - we pull up, walk in... The security guard noticed me driving around not knowing where to park and told me I could go get my car and park up front. Car was parked in the business area next door... I thanked him and by the time I got my car and parked in 'their' lot, my daughter was already taken in the back. I asked a few questions about insurance & payments. The receptionist was very nice & answered my questions, then let me go in the back with my daughter. The back looks just like a hospital- they have things that hospitals have/ can do, that urgent cares can't. Daughter finished up paper work, they took blood tests, this test, that test and a CTScan. She was in extreme pain & vomiting --no idea why. This was going on and off for a few months. The doctor and nurses were all incredibly nice, caring and concerned. Doctor really didn't find anything unusual- he gave her some pain medication, sent her off with nausea medication & suggested her visiting a GI for more tests. 2 days later- (mid-Sunday) we go back. This time, we had about a 20 minute wait to go in the back. Daughter is still in extreme pain and vomiting. We get the same, kind and caring doctor but some of the nurses seemed judgmental... kinda irritated with her, like, nothings wrong with you. They run more tests.... She's still vomiting. Doctor comes back in just stumped. He just can't find anything wrong. Deciding we just need to get her into a GI, we get ready to leave... when the doctor asked her if she vapes. She replied yes. He then said he believed she was suffering from Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. He gave her some information about it.... We went home. She tossed out her thc vape, was in pain for a few more days.... But has been pain and vomit FREE ever since- it's been 3 months!! We are SO THANKFUL for doctor to even mention this - Growing up in the 70's/80's, never thought it could effect anyone like that, but we've learned it can. I am posting this incase someone else may be having the same issues and don't know what's wrong. I recommend this place - highly & will continue to go to this location. *NOTE: Daughter is 22, I was there for emotional support & to learn a thing or two. read more

We were referred here by hubby's PCP and they did not disappoint. The inside is very clean, nice and well kept. The receptionist was very friendly and there is even a security guard inside. I drove my hubby so can't say how his visit went. My only gripe is how insanely loud the Tv volume was in the waiting room. I would also strongly advise against putting a news channel on when you don't know who is sitting in your waiting room, including children. read more

Stopped by earlier today with my mom at the recommendation of a respiratory therapist. I called in to register from one of their parking spaces. I can read and already knew that they don't accept Medicare. My mom has a COBRA plan from her former employer (not a supplement). I explained this to the person who answered the phone. She "didn't think they would be able to accept that because it's secondary." Maybe you could check before turning a patient in need away? OR find out if we are willing to be cash customers? She did neither, and when I said "this is ridiculous," there was no compassion or apology. She hung up on me! Based on this experience, we'll steer clear of this place. We went to Carbon Health down the street and received prompt, professional assistance. read more

staff was great. however my bill for 1200$ was ridiculous. I am on Medicare. Everyone takes my insurance. required five stitches and a tetanus shot cost me $1200. That's absolutely ungodly over the top. Albeit the staff was great and I was in and out an hour however, the cost for five stitches and a tetanus shot is beyond what I expected to pay. Everyone takes Medicare and if you call yourself as an emergency room and, bylaw, you are required to take care of the patient ! I've worked in healthcare for 30 years and I am so angry at the ridiculous amount of money I was charged for five stitches and a stinking tetanus shot. Of course they wanted to do an MRI scan of my head, which I refuse. Yes I fell cut my head needed stitches. Never lost consciousness was able to call my friend who picked me up and got me to the hospital. I beg people to not use this facility. overpriced and yes, they get you in and out but for me it was a hefty price. read more

Usually most hospitals take hours to get you seen so when my mom said she wanted to take me here to get stitches after a freak accident at throwing practice I was slightly hesitant because I'd never been here even though one of my family members work here. Immediately after walking in I felt welcome. At this point nobody knew me or that I was a relative of someone who works there (family member was not working this night). My head injury was wrapped so the only indication of to how bad it was, was my bright pink shirt that was now halfway burgundy because my head bled to the point i was practically drenched in blood. They got me back in 15 minutes tops. Now I wasn't feeling any pain but when it comes to needles I cry and freak out even if I know it won't hurt. So when it was time to get a tetanus shot and lidocaine shot I was visibly upset. The staff was very kind and made sure to comfort me. Then just like that they cleaned my wound and gave me a good amount of stitches and I was out. Whole process took maybe 45 minutes to an hour. Amazing for an er visit! And never once was I nervous , upset, or in pain in terms of that staffs doing! Definitely recommend this place, quick and easy and not many people know of it. read more

I'm finally reaching the end of my payment terms with this place and over paid to finish out my balance months before, yet they continued to charge me.Ive had to contact the patient advocacy center 4 times already. I've been told it's handled and come to find out it's not. Emailed again, only received partial refund. They can't seem to get it together. Fair warning, CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN IN....... On December 25th took my daughter in, she had had a fever for 5 days already and I was really worried about her because she wasn't getting any better, she was worsening day by day. They did their "due diligence", made a swab and said that she came back positive of influenza type A and to keep giving her tylenol and motrin as I was already doing... A day and a 1/2 later she was not progressing and took her to the pediatrician where they decided to open her mouth and found that her tonsils were extremely swollen and she tested positive for Strep throat... and that was the reason why she was running a fever. At the time of the ER visit, I did mention to Dr. Murphy that I had strep throat on Monday of that same week and that my husband followed.. still he didn't open my daughter's mouth and didn't make the regular checkup that I even get done when I go to a regular doctor visit... Of course, I called to file a negligence complaint and they decided to not take responsibility, Dr. Murphy told me that he couldn't remember that I mentioned that I had strep throat, and basically said I was lying because he couldn't remember that piece.. Please make the public aware that if they do not have any other choice and have an emergency that involves children, let them know how to get their job done by opening your children's mouth and check for potential strep throat if they are running a fever... BUT HONESTLY, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN IN... They will be charging my insurance and they will not take responsibility for what they were supposed to do and didn't do it... read more

This is a horrible place who has no care for people. There in the wrong field . First they didn't take my blood pressure right, second they gave me information on nothing they knew about that's not there profession and third Dr Andre McNulty to me " I Fuckup" that was unprofessional and very hurtful. I will never go there again or recommend this place. I will discuss this with the board of directors whom I have family doctors on these boards. read more

This place is extremely unprofessional and has incidents of malpractice. I'm not quite sure the hiring process but the staff is not trained to triage correctly and has administered wrong medication! Beware the bait and switch. The pricing on line is not part of the ER care. It is only if a doctor recommends you to go there. They take insurance, Medicare, but not much else. Otherwise you are out of network. You will not know how much it costs you until 6+ months later, They have all the ER capability, and you can be seen in a short time, usually less than an hour. But the pricing and information on the website, does not apply to an ER visit. I do not recommend without great insurance for an ER visit. The doctors we saw were great, but not sure worth a $7k plus bill!!!!! read more

We had a fantastic experience with Tucson ER and Hospital. Owned by local physicians, it's a full service emergency room (not urgent care) and a far cry from the big chains and public hospitals. We got in right away, the facility is spacious and clean, and Dr. Kat and the whole medical team here are terrific. We are new to the area and couldn't be more impressed. Absolutely amazing, everyone was extremely polite and helpful. The guy in the front desk was very polite and the nurses as well. Dr.Kay though, you can tell the experience he has by the way he treats you and helps you in the most professional and courteous way possible! I came in for an object being stuck in my eye (cornea) and honestly didn't know where to go all the eye clinics were giving me run arounds but he removed it in minutes. Now I'm recovering and felt better before I even left the ER. Thank you everyone keep up the great work you are all AMAZING. read more

My 74 year old dad fell this afternoon and cut his thumb, skinned his knuckles and bruised his stomach. After spending 10.5 hours last night in a traditional hospital ER with a friend, I was reluctant to try that again but still wanted to get him checked out. A friend told me about a billboard for Tucson ER and Hospital. We gave it a try. We were greeted by a very friendly, professional receptionist. We were processed and had a private room within minutes. The doctor was very informative and patient as my dad attempt to crack jokes. He examined and addressed all of our concerns. He dressed my dads wounds and we were out the door within an hour. I would highly recommend this place. Professional, compassionate, thorough and timely. Everything you want and need in an emergency situation! read more

In for a day surgery. I was treated with respect and courtesy, until post surgery. They treated my with such disrespect and no compassion. They were rude and dismissive. I woke up very dizzy and couldn't focus. I was also very sick to my stomach. They sat me up, dressed me, (I don't remember this part), got me in a wheel chair and tossed a barf bag on my lap. Got down to the pick up place. She kept asking me which car it was. I was so dizzy, I couldn't focus. She got really testy with me. If I need day surgery again and my doctor uses TMC, I will find a doctor that uses another facility. I gave them 3 stars because the post op treatment was so horrible and that overshadowed everything else. read more

We were at Tucson ER hospital 4 hours and didn't get any better care or more attention. Plus, they don't take Medicare or Medicare Advantage, so it cost $2,400. Not worth it. read more

My mom was sent home by her doctor and told to monitor blood pressure and look for signs of heart attack or stroke which I thought was insane so I talked her into going to see someone else.. after looking through many ERS AND REVIEWS I found Tucson hospital and ER... they are seriously awesome not only did we get some answers but CURT actually pulled an ultrasound machine to ensure that he could get a vein on a blood draw so my mom wasn't bruised due to excessive attempts.. the doctors and staff are great I don't think I've ever experienced such amazing service at a doctors office let alone an ER.. Oh yea they're very and conscientious regarding sanitation.. very clean well kept environment read more
