I found this place thru Yelp while searching the area for a flower shop. I wanted to get a nice sympathy arrangement to a friend. I'd usually get a basket or bouquet from Vons or Whole Foods but this time I truly wanted the flowers be fresh with an above average design. I went on a Sunday morning around 9'o clock and explained my order and my budget. The lady was very informative and even made some suggestions on the type of flowers and colors that would make my order nicer. I asked for the order to be ready at 11 and she promised it will be, despite the fact that she had to call their florist to come in and make the basket. They called me around 10:30 to let me know my order is ready! I really wish I have taken a picture of the basket, it was a beautifully arranged modern one which worth way more than what I paid for. I would not get half of what they delivered in any of the grocery stores with the same price. I am glad I found this flower shop for all my future needs. read more

Seriously a hidden gem. JY and I found TF&G to be the absolutely only flower shop in the area that kept open past 6. We're so lucky that we found this place! My business partner has always given me gorgeous floral arrangements over the years for many different holidays and birthdays, and he's always gotten them from here. Time and time again I ask if he's 'still going to the same florist on Commerce,' and he always says he wouldn't go anywhere else. Their floral design is literally breathtaking, it's always absolutely stunning. They tailor the arrangement to your personalized request, or can go out on a whim and design whatever they're inspired to if you like to be surprised. Their vases are very elegant, and the flowers and even fillers are often very exotic, not to mention insanely fresh! I've been floored when they've surprised me with decorative and very detailed humming birds and butterflies, among many other cool little ornaments incorporated in the arrangements. The flowers generally last about 2 weeks, and that's considering they sit in an office all day, no sunshine and with no maintenance. Customers who've noticed them in my office have asked me time and time again where they've been from. I can go on and on. This is the one I have just received for Valentine's Day! I wish I still had photos of all the ones I've received in the past, although it's beautiful, it's nothing compared to the ones I get for Christmas and birthdays.. I believe this place is now called Designs by Christine. I had randomly walked in here once to get flowers and I was so pleased with their service. Christine was actually gone for the day but her parents were present and so helpful. I found it relieving that they weren't the type to hover over you and pressuring you to buy something. They gave me the time I needed to pick the arrangement that I liked. They went out of their way to change some of the flowers that were already a part of the arrangement. The father carried the arrangement to my car, buckled it in and made sure it was secure enough for the ride home. Honestly they showed the true definition of customer service. Aside from that first experience, recently our friends brought us two different arrangements from Christine's flower studio. I have attached the pictures for viewers to see their creative work. The most suprising part about these arrangements beside their beauty was the amount of time they lasted...It was about a week and a half later and not a single flower had died. This is purely a review on the owner and not the business itself. Here is the full story and you guys can take it however you please. So this place is right next to a wedding venue and instead of parking in the venue parking (which costs money), I decided to park on the street where there was plenty of two hour parking spots. ( I was doing photography for free for the wedding and didn't feel like paying to park for a free favor ) I pulled up in one of the open spots on the curb and parked my car. When I got out of the car, I had what seemed like a nice guy ask me if I was going into the wedding and If I was going in, that I should move my car because the "hardware store guy" will get upset and call parking enforcement. At first I thought, " hey what a great guy" so I moved my car across the street. 2 hours later when the time was getting close, I went to move my car and this time found a spot on the original side of the street but no longer in front of the hardware store. Before I could even turn off the car, the flower shop owner was leaning on my window telling me "move your car" WHAT?? I'm sorry but this is a public street so that's exactly what I told him. By the time I got out of the car, he had the neighboring business owner outside asking me to move ( she was nice). They literally told me "just be careful cause this is a busy street and things happen to cars that are parked here all the time." SERIOUSLY!?!? They threatened my car because he said I was blocking business. Also, he told me that he was going to get it towed and was going to tell the parking enforcement that I was there all day. He said " you're the one that has to waste your day fighting it, not me" a serious piece of garbage. I even took photos of his van just in case I came out to a messed up car. I'm sorry but here is the reality: 1. you had your van parked in front of your shop the entire day. 2. Its public and street parking and 100% legal 3. Don't threaten anybody or anyones property. 4. If it's a real issue then take it up with the city and get it changed to 30 min parking!! I won't ever buy flowers here and I will make sure none of my friends ever do.
