Due to my needs, I chose Tulare adult school for I feel it suited me best. The system is a little…read moreweird, but I guess that's how they run things, they only have one instructor Virginia Magallanes, which this is her additional job on the side. (Nothing wrong with that maybe just possibly less focus on your class or students.) first you take a pre-test to check your personal score report you must meet a 239. The next step is where I had the problem. So the picture I took and provided it shows the required documents. I asked the office for information but they said the instructor would give us a date for an orientation for any questions regarding other requisites. It's very lack of communication I called and I asked and people in the office they don't really know cause it's not their class. It's the instructors class that has the full info but her only way of communication was through email. I say this because the day I registered I made payment I brought in all my documents in person and they said we don't need them yet we just need to show them to register ( I'm thinking to myself I have them hand. Why don't you just take a copy and keep them on record) but we require you to show them the first day of class I said OK, when is orientation? they told me June 1 on your first day of class. The instructor will tell about orientation and documents needed. A week or two after registration the only instructor Virginia magallanes started sending emails to each student requiring you to submit documents online as classwork, she also stated that if it was not submitted by the first day of class (June 1, orientation day) you would be dropped. I had questions and my only way of communication to her was through email. I had called the office many times and they we're getting bugged by me bc I had questions they had no answers to and they finally had her call me back. We talked on the phone the instructor and I we had some misunderstandings but thats why I explained to her that it would have been nice to have an orientation before so I would have a better understanding of what was required from us. Other students also had questions but she insisted she's the instructor and it had to be done her way because it best suited for her. She said, " I'm not running class my way , I'm running it according to school standards, I said obviously, but it's your class, your in charge of it and you run the class in your function according to school standard requirements". This started bc on the school class email she indicated I needed the flu and COVID vaccine, some were not available such as the flu vaccine. The flu vaccine is offered seasonal and I had just passed the deadline for the flu vaccine to be obtained in the middle of May. Also she said to me, "you do you as a student and I will do me as the instructor" I had another question regarding a Tb vaccine that was valid but I was missing a page. I told her I have papers in my hand if I can just show them to you, her reply was if you don't have all documents by the first day of class you will be dropped and you MIGHT get your down payment back. I questioned her what do you mean might? She hung up on me over the phone we were both kind of aggressive, I just didn't understand fully although I believe I had just about all my documents, and her, she just kept answering me saying if you don't have your documents I can't help you. A week later the school board assistant calls me and tells me that Virginia Magallanes had made a complaint about me that she felt I was gonna be a troubled student in her class so she asked to drop me. I told the school board assistant my side and concerns, as he just replied with the decision has been made your money will be refunded. I asked if there was another instructor, he replied with, "no we are working on having another one by summer of next year". I was bothered that the office said we would have orientation for questions regarding required documents and not to worry about it. I was bothered that we had limited communication with Virginia Magallanes only through email When I finally did communicate with her through telephone, the conversation gets aggressive for me questioning and commenting and her response was also aggressive in return and rude she drops me from her class with out a warning I was bothered that the school board did not hear both sides and decided to drop me, I find that very injustice I don't have anything against Virginia Magallanes or the school board, for I didn't get a chance to experience taking the class and learning. Maybe I'm wrong but there were other students complaining I was just one of the ones that stood up to say something. If your reading this and think there isn't other options well there is CTI clinicaltraininginst.com Located in Visalia. 559-747-9500 You have a one on one communication with the instructor, and not many middle people. also the course is so much quicker, price is close in range

If you're looking for a place where motivation goes to die and time somehow moves both too fast and…read moretoo slow at the same time, Tulare Union High School is the perfect spot. Walking onto campus feels like stepping into a loop of the same day over and over again, except somehow each day gets more exhausting. The food? Let's just say it builds character... and possibly a stronger immune system. The lines are longer than the actual time you get to eat, so by the time you sit down, lunch is basically over. The classrooms are a mix of freezing cold or randomly hot, with no in-between. You either can't feel your fingers or you're trying not to fall asleep from the heat. And don't even get me started on the Wi-Fi--it works great if your goal is to not use it at all. Some teachers are cool, but others act like their class is the only one that exists, assigning enough homework to keep you busy until graduation. Spirit events are hyped up, but somehow still end up being awkward half the time. Overall, if you enjoy chaos, confusion, and wondering why you even showed up that day, this school might be for you. Otherwise... good luck.

They've had their mascot changed to Tribes to be cultural sensitive to the Native Americans. Also, in 2020, they were faced with distance learning and a quarantine graduation. My niece loves this school and has so much support from all faculty and staffs including the school police resource Office, her swim and basketball coaches and office support staffs. Everyone has a lot of school pride and they are very supportive of one another. It was such a blessing to see my niece walk the stage today and be embraced by the faculty and staff!!!! They have my utmost respect for hosting and making this 2020 graduation memorable!!! -06/03/2020
