Now, I wonder if I could've made him comfortable, so that he could've passed at home instead of in such a cold, clinical atmosphere. It didn't seem like they cared at all, which has made things even more difficult. Anyway, my pup passed and not minutes later, a man came into the room to ask for payment. Red-eyed, snot dripping from my nose with a freshly broken heart, I obliged and pulled out my bank card. It was roughly 2500kr, if you were wondering. I paid, got my receipt, said my last farewell and drove home in the dark, rainy weather. Flash forward to today, Christmas Eve, and I get a letter in the mail saying I had not paid and that they are sending it to collections. What the actual f**k?! One, I reaaaaally loved getting the reminder that my pup is gone...on Christmas Eve, no less! Two, the man took my card and I paid, so WTH? Three, what even the f**k sort of business are they running? That is why they get one star. My initial visit was fine, but I feel that once they get you in the door and are done with you, you are treated poorly. There are better and less expensive alternatives in Stockholm. Find those and stay away from here!

During Christmas time it becomes very hard to get medical attention for your beloved pets…read more My regular veterinary clinic went on vacations (from December 23rd. to January 4th) and I was forced to look for a new place to take care of my pet's health. Fortunately, my regular clinic recommended Stockholms Regiondjursjukhus and after reading hundreds of reviews (good, bad and scary) I decided to bring in my cat. Doctors were right on the spot regarding the issue my little fella was experiencing and the follow up was simply amazing. After my early morning visit and a blood test, they called me after lunch to let me know that he had big issues with his kidneys and the doctors recommended me to check him in to keep and eye on him, after two days they provided me with a full report and steps to follow in order to get him better. I am very thankful to doctors Ann & Petra, they gave me hope back and to Stockholms Regiondjursjukhus for setting a standard on how to care about pets (very far from my experiences with Evidensia clinics). TLDR: Excellent emergency hospital, qualified and caring doctors, very competent nurses, open 24h, first arrived first served. It's pricy but if you have insurance and means you are giving your pet outstanding attention.
