They yell at special kids when they tic and they don't treat bullying like it should be and they don't take it seriously

My child has attended TGE two years now and I am a pleased parent. The specials classes all children take (art, music, p.e. and technology) are second to none. My child is learning musical techniques, many different art techniques, how to play just about every sport (including rock climbing, yoga and some basic dance!), and how to use the computer (keyboarding, mouse and safe computer use). The counselor also has a curriculum. So far the kids have learned how to "de-bug" (deal with their peers when they are annoying or bullying) and how to protect themselves from inappropriate behavior by others. The school has an active PTO, well-attended family events throughout the school year, and a very involved staff. The regular ed teachers have been excellent, too. They teach well and are available for parents and students if they need extra help. The largest class size my child has had is 21! Metro schools has a bad reputation, but this little school is excellent. read more
