I stayed here on a trip to Amsterdam after having stayed at the Centraal Tulip Inn on a previous trip. I stayed here instead of Centraal because this location allowed pets. We get here and check in, which was painless and enter our rooms. The outside of the rooms were extremely stuffy and smoky, even though I had read that the hotel was smoke free. After checking in, we go to the front desk to ask how to get to the train station, and the receptionist gave us really hard to decipher directions, but we ended up finding it eventually. BASCICALLY, just cross the street and go STRAIGHT following the bike path. Eventually you'll get there. It really is just a 5-10 minute walk from the metro. Which is fantastic, and ends up being just a 20-30 minute ride to get to Centraal station. The rooms were minimalist (in a good way, they felt clean, spacious and modern). The restaurant on location was also decently priced compared to the restaurants in Amsterdam. I loved the location, it was quaint with a lovely lake in the background for the pup to play in when we got home from sight seeing. All in all, this will probably be where I stay again. Even if i I don't bring the dogs. As much as I love the center of Amsterdam, it was nice to get out of it when it was time to relax for the day. The onsite parking also made me feel much more secure and saved us a bundle over trying to park in the city. read more
