Our overall experience was amazing from start to finish. Katy took great care of us with her communication on the portal. Dr. McKinney was so sweet and encouraging from her visits with us to her sharing stories about her passion for her patients. STAY AWAY!! My husband and I went to this clinic and they will push IVF on you because that's where they get their money. Before they even ran many tests on us or did ultrasounds, we had to sit through an hour long "consult" that was really just an IVF pitch with Dr. McKinney. When we told her we wanted to try different options first, she finally let us do a medicated cycle and we had to travel there 7 times in the month for monitoring (we live 2 hours away) because she wouldn't just prescribe fertility meds, even though we were ok with the risk of multiples. I also kept asking if they could call us to go over my husband's semen analysis. They had cleared him for the medicated cycle, but I noticed some numbers were lower. They refused to give us his results over the phone and said we would have to come in and make another appointment (it took months of me asking and they weren't concerned about his numbers, but still wanted us to have another consult because more money). Here's the real kicker, they did a lot of ultrasounds on me to track follicles and they also looked at my HSG test results. They said I had cysts and fluid in my tube, so I might need a tube removed.... Well I finally found an AMAZING OB who did one ultrasound, said I have endometriosis and did the laparoscopic surgery. Turns out I had stage 4 endometriosis!! How did Tulsa Clinic not catch that when this new OB saw it within 1 minute of an ultrasound?! My new OB took his time during surgery and cleaned out almost all of the endometriosis and reattached my tubes to my ovaries. Nothing was wrong with my actual tubes and I didn't need one removed at all. Summary: this clinic just wants your money and a quick, easy "fix". Had I stayed with them, I would have lost a tube, been pushed into IVF and had high changes of miscarriages with the severity of my endometriosis. Oh, not to mention, my endometriosis surgery with my new OB was the same price as one medicated cycle with Tulsa. My new OB just prescribes the fertility medication, which cost me $10. Thanks to my new OB and absolutely no thanks to this horrible clinic, my husband and I now have a very good chance of conceiving naturally. read more

We visited this clinic and one in KC before starting our IVF journey. We loved Dr McKinney and her team right from the start. I've now done two egg retrievals and one transfer with her. They are lucky that I did not sue them. I was confirmed pregnant after an IUI. I went in for a regular checkup/ultrasound and was told the embryo did not take.... well, they didn't take a blood test, and I could have avoided what happened next. A couple of days later I called the office stating I really did not feel well, and they basically said, without a sense of urgency, to book another follow-up appointment. I found out the hard way, by bleeding internally, turning gray, and getting rushed to the hospital that I actually had a tubal ectopic pregnancy all along - and is common during fertility treatments. A fact they should have known. I went on to have successful IVF at another out of state facility, with much better concern for me as a patient. Would have liked to have given ZERO STARS but the app doesn't allow. read more

We wouldn't have our 2 sons without Dr. Prough. I had bad experiences at multiple out-of-town clinics before we went here- lots of failed IVFs with PGS-normal embryos and, when I finally did get pregnant with the help of other clinics, they ended in unexplained miscarriages. We finally got tired of driving to Missouri and OKC and made a last-ditch effort here in town, where I wish we'd started in the first place! With Dr. Prough's help, we were successful on our first try. I'd heard from several people that he didn't have the best bedside manner, but my husband and I COMPLETELY disagree. He's very caring and compassionate. Yes, he's a straight shooter, but we'd rather he be honest than not. We had very little hope when we walked into the clinic for the first time, but now I can't recommend them enough. read more

Dr. McKinney was exceptional in every sense of the word. Upon first meeting and having been told numerous times I would not be able to have a baby, she took my hand and told me "we will get a baby". Her hope, intelligence, and compassion is unparalleled. She is so knowledgeable but at the same time brings a sense of humanity into the medical field. Everything was optimistic, positive, and a joy. She helped us get pregnant and we now have a little baby boy. Her nurses, office, and work ethic are extremely professional. I think they know what they are doing medically, and on a personal level I liked Dr. McKinney, but the price was not competitive nationally, and the clinic staff was difficult to work with. I got a second opinion, and while both clinics felt I needed the same thing, the cost was significantly lower to go through the other clinic. I went through a doctor out-of-state and saved considerable money, and their staff was significantly easier to work with. I think the patient experience at this clinic suffers from their lack of competition locally. read more

My husband and I have tried to have a baby for over a year. I have PCOS. Our insurance will not cover fertility treatment, and we thought perhaps we might get a discount for paying out-of-pocket for procedures--we were wrong. We spent roughly $5,000 here for a month's worth of timed intercourse (which involves a series of ultrasounds, visits, bloodwork, semen analysis, etc). Each ultrasound cost us $400. I thought surely they could give us a discount on ultrasounds--nope. For every couple paying $400 per ultrasound, I'm sure they have their ultrasound machines paid for, plus some. We were confused on the whole process--we had never given ourselves fertility injections, and no one really helped us through the process. We were kind of "on our own" so to speak, to just call and schedule more ultrasounds and bloodwork, etc. It was so frustrating to not have a doctor or nurse helping us or explaining things to us throughout the process. Dr. McKinney was our doctor--we met with her once, and that was it. She was a nice lady, but for as much as we paid the clinic, we thought she would atleast call or see us again. We were left to their fertility scheduling lady for the rest of the process. We felt isolated and alone, plus the financial burden drained our savings. Not to mention we didn't get pregnant and drained our savings! I can't believe they won't offer discounts to cash-paying customers. This is the type of place that just "takes your money and runs". They don't know what customer-service is! I called and asked the nurse to refill my prescription, and she acted irritated that I was calling her and that I put her out by having to call in a prescription! After spending $5,000 at their clinic, you would think they could call in a prescription for me! Do not go here. After we left Tulsa Fertility, we went to an out-of-state fertility clinic (Fort Worth Fertility), spent $800 total on an entire IUI procedure (all ultrasounds included in one discount price as well as the IUI itself included) and we got pregnant on our first try. I feel that Tulsa Fertility misleads patients by getting them to pay for timed intercourse sessions (which are a joke), when they should be pushing the IUI's right away, so couples can get pregnant. Timed intercourse procedures for people like me are ridiculous when I cannot ovulate normally without a trigger shot! I feel bad for my Tulsa-area friends, because there aren't a lot of options as far as fertility docs and clinics in that area. Perhaps they can drive an extra hour and a half to go to one of the Oklahoma City fertility clinics or drive to Fort Worth Fertility. Please do not waste your time at Tulsa Fertility Clinic. It will drain your savings, and you will leave there poor and childless :( read more

I have been to three fertility clinics and this one was by far the worst experience. The other two were not successful in getting me pregnant, but they were professional and the experience was still good. Tulsa Fertility just wants your money. They are cold and impersonal and completely unprofessional. I over heard their front desk staff criticizing a lady who has tried multiple times to get pregnant... almost making fun of her.. then unbelievably, she walked in! They were making fun of her and then she happened to come in to make a payment.. when she left, they snickered that they almost got busted. I was humiliated for her. They were constantly tracking me down for payment even though I had 100% insurance coverage.... so they ended up giving me a refund. Their nurse (heavy set lady) was miserable and hated her job. She was annoyed at every step and as compassionate as a coroner! I woudl honestly forego having kids before recommending this place to anyone. Go to Little Rock, OKC... anywhere else. A friend of mine went there and had warned me.. they actually charged her for the follow up visit after she had a miscarriage after her IVF. Not sure on other Tulsa clinics, but driving to a different city woudl be better for you .. I promise. read more

For those looking for fertility help and options, please be mindful. My husband and I selected this establishment mainly due to logistics. It was somewhere we could easily commute to and in an area we were familiar with. However, they are terrible at relating any information specific to you. Everything is done through an email like system. Be prepared to google everything!! The information they provide you with is just your basic ivf info that a preliminary google search will give you. Do not expect them to call you with any test results or updates. If you are going through or planning to go through ivf and utilize this facility make sure to have a strong support network at home because you get very little support from this staff. I very much just felt like an emtionless number here. So if you use this facility just take these things into account and plan accordingly. read more

It has been a year since the birth of our twin girls. We still have one embryo left at Tulsa Fertility Center and we are going back to get her and bring her home. The twins would love another sister. Please do not choose Tulsa Fertility Center for the reason of being "closest fertility center". I have made this mistake. It is so bad that there is no other clinics but this one in Tulsa. Please do research online for clinics and doctors with higher ratings of success. I wasted my time and money here. To them you are just the next number who brings them profit - that's it. Depending on your blood test and the size of follicles, doctor makes changes in meds you take. The nurses have been making many mistakes and weren't consistent with doctor's changes. They wouldn't make changes in the chart or give me some instructions that do not work in my case. I think they were confusing patients. I am pretty sure I would have done a better job in their place without a medical degree. When you go through the treatment months after months ..... it is hard.The doctor did not seem to care at all about your financial and psychological situation. The longer they keep you - the longer they make profit. Unfortunately, I only started asking people about this place after many months of trying and women claimed that it was not a good place. I would have rather spend additional $1K for a hotel and do my treatment somewhere else, than wasting many thousands here. If you have decided to go through the treatment here, please do not choose to continue after the first unsuccessful treatment. More time won't bring you better results in this place. read more
