Not a fan of Thai, but I had to try the Pad Thai bc it's one of my fav foreign dishes. This placed nailed it. The curry was also a good choice. Their strong points are in the little details...heart shaped rice serving, butterfly carrot deco, etc. Parking is great since it's in a big plaza. Inside decor is overwhelming but true to its culture. The waiter was funny and super sweet. Only reason it's not 5 stars is bc it has to be amazing to be 5 stars. I think four is more than fair, it's good food but not a place I'd visit regularly. If you love Thai, I recommend it. read more

Only seating at 25% Capacity, but still a robust take out service with full menu. The App Sampler features spectacular tempura shrimp and a delicate spring roll. The Siam Duck was crispy with an unctuous dark sauce. The Two Friends Panang has an incredible, rich sauce that had me sopping up the accompanying jasmine rice (which is impressive since I don't really care for rice in general). But the true stand out was the dessert. The Tum Rub Thai's Banana with coconut ice cream and honey drizzle was so delicious we ordered a 2nd helping! Best Thai in the area. I ordered the duck pad Thai and was underwhelmed. The curry flavor was good but the peanuts were too crushed, causing a powdery, unpleasant texture. The duck was old and over cooked. The ingredients had the makings of a phenomenal dish but it fell extremely low and below the price and expectation of a quality duck entree. read more

Spring rolls resembled nothing of a spring roll I have ever encountered. This is just sloppy. The people cooking should quit their job immediately & take up something more productive with their lives that involves fire, garbage & cardboard because this is exactly what they served. The soup was so oily it separated on the way home. The price is ridiculous for the portion & the ingredients were not cooked. It was fresh vegetables with oily broth. Terrible. The spring rolls were burnt to a crisp & yet dripping w oil. The sauce portion was a joke, you couldn't dip the roll in the solo cup because there was so little. After attempting to bite into the roll it would not separate on the first bite & the filling inside looked like one rice vermicelli noodle with cat food. I couldn't place the taste so I spit it out. The tofu was so crazy looking it looks like fried sponge. It was so fried that the outside formed a kind of impenetrable shell of yellow crust w very little weight to it, leading me to believe there was no tofu inside after being reheated so many times. It was an ultimate slaughter of tofu in every sense. The inside were crumbles of white matter that once resembled what was a beautiful cube of tofu before it was fried & reheated so many times. read more

Service is alright there. I been a couple times.. first time was good, good fried rice, good portion. But a couple times later, today for an example, a simple lunch special take out. Open the box disappointed- looks like the leftover I took home last time, the egg roll is on top of the noodles and it's all soggy even tho the box has three sections.. I also orders thai tea which after I paid he forgot about it.. I asked for it, he's like oh I forgot, and on the receipt slip he wrote it's on... he also said I forgot to charge it too and charged me again and it's $3!! thai tea today is very particularly sweet..OH WELL so many thai restaurants around the area I would prob start switching starting now. read more

Dissapointed. I love Thai food and there are some great ones in the area. I tried this one today and was sadly disappointed. The atmosphere was nice, I ordered egg rolls (4 for $3.75) they were greasy and the insides were liked the cooked vegetable part of chow mein stuffed in there. Next I ordered Yum Duck or duck salad. It is one of my favorites. It wasn't crispy or anything. It looks like they threw the ingredients in a saute pan and dumped it over lettuce. Other restaurants the duck is crispy, you can identify the red pepper and cashews and the lettuce isn't cooked. I think I will go back to my old favorites and skip this one. read more

The place is clean. The people are so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is nice. So, rating it low makes me feel guilty! But I can't rate the food well, because it simply wasn't like any Thai I have had and I didn't love the taste. My husband had pad Thai, and I couldn't finish the bite I tried. When I saw the name, I thought: "Oh, let me rub my tummy for that great thai food." Seems silly I said that, but it came out to be true! :) My future in-laws decided to take Ralph and I to this place since they asked us what type and we said Thai. They wanted to take us here because they were there before. The ambience of the place.. wow! They had see through veils over the booths and their colors were like red brown and some beige with touches of antique look. There were nice looking displays of napkins rolled up on our plates when we were seated. There were gold colored umbrellas in the corner by the ceiling.. and a nice looking water fountain next to us, which actually made one of us want to go to the rest room. :)) A picture of Thailand's king and queen were also being displayed. The lady that took our orders was very nice and had actually listened to what we wanted and had great smile (not pretentious or fake). She constantly, but not in an annoying way, asked if we needed any more rice or water or any other dish to try. You can just feel her positive vibe and never felt ignored or didn't feel annoyed. We first had our steamed dumplings as our appetizer to share. I also had some jasmine tea. Then, the rices on plate came up with our entrees. I ordered my usual favorite Thai dish - Chicken with Panang Curry. Their levels of hotness/spiciness were named Coward, Average, and Expert. I went with being in the middle of Coward and Average.. because I like SOME spiciness, just not to an extreme. lol. When I had it, I was in heaven. read more

I've got to admit, it was the name that caught our attention! The husbeast and I had a snicker over it but we decided to go ahead and give it a try. We arrived at prime dining time on Friday evening, and though the place was hopping, we were seated in what appeared to be their 2nd dining room, not the room with the little nooks and private booths, but the open tables, and this was all well and good. We were given our menus and given a chance to peruse what was available. Some time passed, I'd estimate more than 5 minutes before the waitress came over and took our order, but when she did, she got everything; drinks, starters and mains. I was impressed, she didn't write anything down. A few minutes passed and she brought out our drinks - Jasmine tea for me and unsweet iced tea for the hubster. Our starters came out a few minutes later, mine was Chicken Sat-eh and his was Tom Yum Ka soup. Both were pleasant enough, but the chicken was under seasoned and the soup was sort of bland. When the waitress was walking by, I noticed she had a drink on her tray, a Thai Coffee, and I asked about it, she brought one by for me on her next round, it was heavenly! The service here was by far some of the fastest and best I've had in a long time. Our mains arrived, mine was the House Combination Fried Rice (Notice a trend when I go to Thai places?) and my guy got Spicy Fried Rice - Thai Hot. Both were presented prettily with carrots and cabbage as a garnish. While the portions weren't as large as other local places, they were generous, and the food was delicious. There was a silkyness to the rice that was sublime. And according to the husbeast, the thai hot was right on. Would we go back? Certainly. So the need for Thai takeout hits us and I go to Yelp for reviews. I select Tum Rub and I have some of the same experiences shared by my fellow Yelpers. As soon as I entered Tum Rub, the staff was very hospitable and inviting. Yes, I was thinking that it would have been nice to dine in. Simple use of fabric and soft instrumental music (Top 40 doesn't work in any eatery.) can work entry level magic! I was focused on getting Pad Thai and Pad Ba-mee, both quite good, enough so that we will visit again very soon. Their sauces were not seasoned right, the dishes ended up with the saltiest fish sauce ever in my decades of consuming fish sauce, but the protein, chicken, squid, shrimp and salad on of itself, were definitely fresh and tender. They just didn't taste the sauce /adjust it ahead of time. Service was friendly, but the Yum Seafood salad was should be sweet, HOT, tangy and very little salt. It had the same sauce and was served with the spring rolls. Food was plated nicely, but the food did not measure up to it's hype. I won't go back anytime soon. read more

Tum Rub Thai is just around the corner from my new place, the reviews are positive, and a friend from out of town was visiting and he wanted Thai, ...so off we went. It was a Wednesday night and it was not very busy. The first thing I noticed were the decorative drapes, kind of angled down from the ceiling for decoration. Very cool. The booths have drapes that offer some privacy too. Overall the decor is beautiful and comfortable. We ordered a number of appetizers including the crab rangoon, vegetable soup, the hot and sour shrimp soup, and the fried tofu. All were excellent, and the crab rangoon had a really nice curry kick to it. My entree was the cashew nuts, tofu, and mixed vegetables, in a brown sauce, served with jasmine rice. I really loved the roasted cashew flavor in this dish. Very good. The service was fast and friendly, and they definitely made us feel welcome. My only negative feedback would be the ceilings (which are probably about 15 feet up) are a little dingy, and when our food came, the waitress brought one dish at a time, instead of everything at once. Not a big deal, but just a little awkward. I'll definitely be going back, and make this my new local Thai hangout. read more

Stopped in for lunch. It is phenomenal. I had the chicken in chili paste with some veggies and spices served with rice shaped in a heart. Came with soup and a spring roll. Everything was delicious. And they spiced it right (thai hot) and didn't dumb it down for this American. Man, I would return in a heartbeat. He had the drunken noodle which he also said was phenomenal. Rightly spiced. Fresh and delicious. He said the spring roll was cooked just right and didn't have too much breading. Staff was friendly and did a nice job keeping my water glass full even when I didn't ask for it. I can never get a clear pic of my food in here, ever, but this day, I was determined . The service is always friendly and fast. This was the first time I came for lunch special, which turned out to be such a great deal . $7.95 for a dish that came with a spring roll and mini chicken broth soup. That was nice . If you come for dinner it's typical Thai dish prices . A little pricey depending on your what you choose, but no different from any other Thai restaurant. P.S. Ask for the spice tray , but CAREFUL and easy with the Thai Red Pepper. Most people don't realize how hot it is. Its not like the typical Red Pepper you find at the pizza joint.
