I love bao buns. Is hard to find a great baos in Miami and this place has the best Porky bao in the whole Florida. I also try the fish and it was fantastic, dumplings amazing, we also order some chicken wings there were spicy and crispy right to the point. Awesome food. OMG I can't even explain you. The softness of the bun and the crunchiness of the fish was a perfect combination. - House Fried Rice. You can order it with meat, chicken, ham or pork. 5 stars for that rice guys! ***And now let's talk about "my sweet buns" *** that was the best part!!!! Nutella, strawberry and bananas all together? For real??? I don't even think about the calories I just want MORE! Tip: don't leave without ordering their spicy mayo!! It's reallyyyyy good. I used a little bit on my rice and it was super good. I can't wait to go back and get more buns and off course dessert!!

Meh... tried them for the first time this past weekend, and not very impressed. French fries instead of the yuca chips mentioned on the menu, no pork, out of tea, and the size of each is not very impressive - se te quedan en una muela. The Mama's Chicken Bao wasn't great, the orange chicken maybe a little better, Off The Hook was pretty good as were the Teriyaki and Churrasco ones. Slow though - nearly 27 minutes (!) from order to delivery.

I tried the off the hook bun, which was Mahi-mahi, cilancho and tomatoes with a creamy cilancho sauce. All very tasty and fresh. French fries were the side, I would rather not eat fries especially on a hot day. An Asian salad would be nice or even tepura veggie sticks would have gone better with the Asian style food truck.

STOP! You have to try Tumbao Bun. Such a unique twist to the food truck industry. Latin food infused with a little Asian. The food was absolutely delicious, I went back for seconds. Tumbao Buns food truck was at the Wynwood Yard last night. It was busy and our order took about 20 minutes to come out. Our friend's order took closer to 30 minutes. We ordered 2 bao buns which came served on a stick and a side of fries. I can't recall exactly which baos we ordered, but it had meat inside. They actually tasted great and the bao buns themselves were very soft. We inhaled these pretty quickly. These baos were pretty small. They were definitely not American-sized portions. And for $14, I'd like to have filled my belly with some more food. The portion size/ratio of bao buns to fries was about equal. read more

I would like to start off by saying this is my FIRST review on yelp. It saddens me that this was by far the worst food truck experience I have encountered. I like to order the most popular/recommended dish in which this case I did and it turned out to be by far their worst. I want to point out it was the most expensive on their menu (what a coincidence). Upon receiving my item there was a total of 10 fries on my plate and I couldn't believe it! I gave it the benefit of the doubt, because I never complain about prices when i'm eating great food , but this was beyond bland! $12 down the drain folks don't get robbed! torn on this one so i gave it a 3... Ordered the teriyaki bun b4 i get to that... in terms of service they were fine with me but i was some what surprised that they were kind of rude to the person they were serving before me. there was an ingredient he didn't want in his food and he was told to just pick it off as "its not gonna kill him"... wow?! in terms of the bun it was pretty decent but i felt they were heavy handed with the sauce so it was drowning in it... which completely over powered the flavor of the rest of the ingredients.. also made it very messy to eat. and the fries were just bad , very stale and cold.. i also feel that given the amount of food you receive their menu should be priced 2 to 3 dollars less on many of the items ... . In the end the buns were good enough get them 3 stars but with the other concerns.. i doubt id be back. read more

I love bao buns. Is hard to find a great baos in Miami and this place has the best Porky bao in the whole Florida. All I can say is T U M B A O is out of control! We started off with the lomito, and ended up ordering the rest of the menu to the point where we depleted their every bun for the night! Just ask Oscar... On their opening night, I ... yes, me ... "Manny from Miami" ordered their first "my sweet buns" desert. The perfect combination of cinnamon butter/fruit/ and O M GOODNESS! The chef whose creative styles of Latin fused with Asian is mastery. I was mad at myself for not ordering another one ... but we demolished it. read more

Great buns, great flavors, great place! Get some food on the go with this guys still getting amazing taste that will make you want so much more! The go to, churrasco and lomito saltado! That tartar sauce under the churrasco mixed with the mojito and the mini fries are just the perfect mix, same with the lomito! Ask the chef for those sweet buns and you'll get the crunchiest yet softest buns with Nutella, bananas, strawberry, cream and cinnamon, to die for! Great service, great food! read more

Scheduled an event with this food truck and never showed up. Didn't cancel or answer any calls or emails. I posted my event on roaming hunger and THEY replied saying they wanted to attend. They chose my event, I did not chose them. I confirmed to give it a shot. They want to text me now saying they only do pre-paid events. ridiculous and absolutely no professionalism. read more

Paid 12 bucks for the amount of food on a small burger. Ordered the Churrasco Bao and was very disappointed with the amount of meat I got alot of bread, fries very little meat. It wasn't even juicy it was dry I wont be back read more

Last night I went there after my first experience being so good, and they literally gave me chicken balls tossed in sauce with carrots in the bun. Nothing else that it was supposed to come with it or any effort put into it. Don't ask you or provide you any sauces with your fries. Wouldn't want to come here again. read more

Highly disappointed with the quality and flavors of the buns , my favorite was the orange chicken . The pork belly was very fatty and mushy , I did not enjoy those whatsoever. I was really looking forward to eating them as I am a huge fan of bao buns . Also had the lomo which was just ok . Great idea and menu concept but I feel that the recipes and flavors need to be worked on . read more

Went to the Wynwood market this past Sunday and tried the Lomo Saltado buns which were so yummy! The actual meat I believe was not the lomo meat (I think). Overall though it was pretty good. read more

I ordered a Porky bao that is listed as having pork belly, nori, lettuce, scallions and topped with an Asian BBQ sauce. We got bao buns with only pork belly and some basic BBQ sauce. No lettuce , nori or scallions. When we complained, they just threw on some scallions. read more

I was at the hospital and they had their truck there, i was fasting all and was hungry and when i finished my appointment i ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. The presentation looked great, but the taste was bland, there was a lot of scallions and rice in the bowl, not enough chicken and sauce. The aftertaste of the scallions overpowered the flavor of the chicken teriyaki and the presence of the sauce barely existed. read more

Well.... Let's start off by saying I didn't even know what a "bao bun" was. But wow! I sure will never forget. The soft, fluffy steamed bread. Perfect size for your hand. Filled with many choices in which I picked "LOMITO SALTADO" and wowwwww!!! The tender steak sautéed in onions, tomato and cilantro. All inside that soft little bun. It's literally an explosion once you bite into it. Oh I almost forgot. It comes with these seasoned mini fries on top of the buns. Topped with cilantro aioli sauce . I will definitely be going back to try some of the many different "Miami style bao buns" After having just one order (which comes with 2 bao buns on a bed of seasoned yuca chips) I can't wait to go down the menu and continue to try the rest..
