There's music and a good atmosphere. The kitchen closes at 5pm on Saturdays but the restaurant is open for drinks. If you want to take your drink to where you are sitting on the beach you pay 1€ and you get a receipt then when you are finished you bring the receipt and cup back and you get your 1€ back.

We were in Huelva on a Sunday evening, and many other restaurants were closed, or serving very limited menus, so we were lucky and grateful to find Los Tientos. Our server was extremely friendly, and answered all our questions, and gave us recommendations from the menu. They had specials too, but this time we stuck with the standard offerings. 4 tapas were under 25€, which was a very good value for their quality. All of the food was prepared with beautiful presentation. The cheese round with carmelized onions, orange marmalade, and raspberry with raisins, was extremely good. The server confirmed it was goat cheese (not specified on the menu). The cheese round was crispy but soft, not dried out. The eggplant sticks were the one disappointing dish. We had had eggplant-based tapas at a number of restaurants in Spain, and it was always very flavorful and well-executed. These battered, fried, sticks of eggplant were pretty flavorless, and while the honey and balsamic sauces helped, they were only just to mask the fact that the meat of the dish itself was extremely bland and unappetizing. Very let down by this one. My husband had the Hake gratin with garlic mayo and tomato marmelade. He was surprised at how the mild whitefish taste allowed the herbs to give it so much flavor. He said it was cooked very nicely, with a tender but flakey texture. My absolute favorite was the Salmorejo, a tomato soup exploding with flavor. The tomato, of course, had a very robust, perfect flavor, mixed with a lot of herb emphasis, and just made a delicious soup. I could have ordered two more servings, and I am craving it now as I write this, it was just that good! Even the egg garnish added to the overall taste. We had a company event and rented the entire space. Heated tent space available in the back. Nightclub is also in the back. Restrooms are confusing - men & ladies room right next to each other, and you can actually see the men standing in their stalls when heading to the ladies room next door. Also the ladies' toilets have no seat - just the rim ... so some squatting is required :) This spot might be better just for drinks on the deck. You can't beat the beautiful view.

That should have been my first clue but the place was packed so we chocked it up to busyness. We ordered an array of tapas- seafood salad, meatballs, a variation of patatas bravas, croquettes, & fried chicken to go with our Mahou beer- one of only two beers on draft. Pretty lame for a place called "The Barrels." Half of it was fried and all of it was mediocre. Bleh. I need to go eat something else to it feel like this meal was a complete waste. :(
