I'm just loving the different cuisines coming to Canton. The latest and just recently opened is Tumi Peruvian Restaurant. You enter to a very warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere, followed up with quick seating and very up beat and always smiling servers. I was impressed at how knowledgeable they were with all the menu items. Just eager to tell you what it is, how it's prepared and seasoned, cooked and anything else you care to know. As a novice with Peruvian food I did asked a lot of questions. Lol but they were so happy to explain everything to me. I could see the excitement and love in their eyes. I so love local businesses. The Pisco Sour - I went with the Mango. (Pisco, line, simple syrup, egg whites and bitters) so smooth and tasty. And the Tallarin Saltado de Pollo was fabulous. A Stir-Fried Chicken With Onions and Tomatoes and Yellow Pepper over Noodles. just yum. But the home run was definitely the Picarones, - a rare Peruvian treat that happens to be vegan! Imagine sinking your teeth into these light, airy rings of sweet potato dough, fried to a golden brown perfection. Then drizzle on some aromatic chamomile apple syrup, with a lite sprinkling of fresh cinnamon and orange zest. You need to go if just for these tasty treats. I'm so excited and happy for them. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. Great look and atmosphere. The food is all fantastic. Not one thing we had was bad. The apps we tried were great as were the mains. The Saltado was cooked perfectly The issue I have is the price. Saltado was $29 for a $14-$18 portion. For two adults and a child we spent $130 which feels very steep for the food. Again, the food is great but at this price they will struggle to keep a niche restaurant open. read more

Excellent ceviche!, great ambiance! Some of the other dishes leave a little bit more to desire. However, the Ceviche has an excellent taste and is a very good portion. Who would ever think such an excellent ceviche would be in downtown Canton. Server named juan provided great service! read more

WOW . What a surprise. We debated on several places around downtown Canton but the vibe here was perfect. We are novices to Peruvian cuisine,the staff was more than helpful with dishes. Spot on with recommendations: Yuca Frites with several dipping sauce Tallarin Saltado with steak and shrimp. We shared this dish. Dessert- Picarones.Out of this world pure magical goodness! My family tried the newly opened Tumi Peruvian Restaurant in downtown Canton last night (190 E Main Street in downtown Canton) "incredible" doesn't even begin to cover it. The service was warm and attentive. The space itself is stunning. It's beautifully designed with a cozy, intimate vibe that somehow manages to feel both upscale and family friendly. The food was a complete WOW! Every single dish was a hit. We ordered a ridiculous amount because everything sounded too good to pass up, and there wasn't a single mediocre bite on the table. Every plate was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I left uncomfortably full and still wishing I could've tried more. The sangria is sweet with just the right hint of spice. The Pisco cocktails are light, tangy, and incredibly refreshing. Beer lovers, try the Pilsen. Their margaritas are excellent too. Our server, who is actually from Bolivia, was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about all the Peruvian food being served and was very friendly. We had Tallarin Saldato de Pollo and Chaufa with a side of plantains. It was very delicious. Make sure you ask for the garlic sauce for the Tallarin. That just added to the flavor of the dish perfectly. This was our first time visiting and will definitely be back often. read more

The food is excellent! I highly recommend this place. The food is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The only thing I was not crazy about is that you have to scan a QR code in order to view the menu. I would much have rather preferred having paper menus. read more

Service was ok, my issue is the price, was just my wife and I and total came to over $130.00 with one beer. Charged liquor tax on the beer, which is not correct, only mixed drinks are subject to liquor tax. The one thing that I observed was the owners were on site and did not interact with any of the guests, they acted like they were too good to engage. Not a good look. read more

A vibrant, lively atmosphere and delicious, classic Peruvian food right here in the Coolest Small Town in America--Canton, GA! The servers, and especially their manager Patricia, were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate my food restrictions. I would never recommend this Peruvian restaurant to anyone. The food and service were subpar. Los anticuchos and pisco sours we good but pricey. El lomo saltado had 5 slices of tough beef in total. The majority of it was red and green onions with a scoop of white rice for $29.95! Las papas à la huancaina were bland and runny. The arroz chaufas were overpowered by full-sodium soy sauce. The overall experience deterred us from ordering dessert - picarones or alfajores. In short it was a big letdown for a Peruvian and her family! read more

We tried the new Peruvian restaurant Downtown Canton today (Tumi) and really enjoyed it! The three of us ordered several appetizers, a main course, and a dessert to share. I would highly recommend doing that the first time you go, because the food is really different and really delicious. Oddly enough, those wings were the best wings I've had in a LONG time. We got a mixture of sauces on them. That white sauce was magnificent. The potato dishes are served cold, which surprised me. But, don't be afraid of them because they were delicious. Great new addition to Canton. I had arroz con pollo which was very different than what I've had in the past. A little too spicy for me but flavorful. My friend ordered lomo saltado and really liked it. I had rice pudding for dessert and liked it. We liked the atmosphere and the waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. Yesterday we tried this new restaurant in the heart of Canton Georgia, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The lighting was just right, and the decor is beautiful. I ordered the Conchas a la Parmesana, which are Scallops baked with Parmesan, and it was amazing and flavorful. The Ceviche had the perfect amount of lime and fresh fish for a wonderful balance. The chef is Peruvian, trained in Peru, so I guess that might have something to do with how authentic the food tastes. For my drink from the bar I ordered Pisco Sour, wow, that tasted like I was in Peru, delicious! And finally for dessert I had Alfajores y Picarones, both were insanely delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was full of authentic Peruvian flavor, perfectly seasoned, and presented beautifully. Very very disappointing, this was our second time and we were looking forward to it. If they seat you upstairs be prepared to wait for 1 hour and 40 minutes, the waitresses upstairs don't even acknowledge you, it took 30 minutes to get water and we never got our food after 1 hour and 40 minutes waiting at the table. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. Patricia was very knowledgeable on the menu and assisted us in what to order, and we are grateful we listened to her!! We ordered the Conchas a la Parmesana and they were to die for! They looked as good as they tasted, and that's hard to come by nowadays. For our entrees we tried "The Cure" which tasted fresh and delicious; Chaufa de Camarón, and the Fettuccine a la Hauncaina with Lomo Saltado that was the highlight of the meal, rich creamy noodles paired perfectly with the tender sautéed meat. The drinks were also phenomenal, we tried the chicha morada and a fun festive cocktail, both very refreshing! We couldn't leave without trying the picarones and alfajores, which are made fresh in house! The picarones were so soft and fluffy, and that syrup was out of this world! The place was very clean and tidy, low ambient lighting, and they also have a second floor. Overall we had an amazing experience with excellent service, and a special thank you to Chef Miguel.
