This place is sooooooo good. I go here as often as my wallet will allow it. It is on the expensive side, but all Poke usually is. The gals are so sweet that work there and are patient as they ask you what you want in your bowl. There are so many options and all are very fresh. They are also very generous with their ingredients. The options are basically limitless. THere can be a bit of a line at lunch time but they are efficient and move through the line quickly. The ambiance for eating in is not great. It reminds me of being at a Taco Bell or a cafeteria but if you are getting it to go, it is great. It is clean but just sterile and cold. Their to go bowls are reasonably sized and they dont try to rip you off like other places do with to go containers. Easy lot parking and just a few minutes off of I-5 in Lacey. You literally could not pay me to eat here. Only been here once, and they completely ignored my order. I ordered ponzu and sweet sauce and instead the ENTIRE bowl was SOAKED in a Mayo based sauce. The restaurant was empty and no one was behind the counter so i assumed my meal would be made well. Both bowls were soaked in so much mayo based sauce (which we never ordered) we threw them away because they were inedible. I wish there was a 0 star option for the $30 we wasted on HORRIBLE meals. I've been going to this place for years and it's one of my favorite places to eat in Lacey! Quality and customer service is always top notch except our last few encounters. I'll start off by the workers, when we are there it almost seems like we are inconvenient to being there. My most recent visit I picked up a poke bowl and got my usual. I always get avocado on my bowl. They didn't used to do this but now they have it pre-sliced so that they can just scoop it and put it on top of your bowl to save time. This time the gal scooped the avocado and it fell on the counter. I thought she'd get me a new scoop but she scraped that one up from the counter and put it on top of my bowl right in front of me. I don't know the cleanliness of their counters so I said, "your counters are clean right?" She claims they wipe them constantly...I hope she's right! I don't know how I feel about her doing that right in front of me. I would've appreciated a new scoop of avocado just to be safe. Also, the amount of avocado was quite small compared to other times I've gotten it. Since avocado is an extra cost and it fell on the counter a larger amount would've been nice!! read more

I appreciated the lower carb option. I'm also not a big fan of raw fish, but they had cooked shrimp, which I love. They put three scoops of the shrimp, some mildly spicy sauce, and then I was able to add as many toppings as I wanted to it. I chose crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumbers, onions, corn, edamame, crispy onions, and probably a few more that I can't remember. It was very tasty and satisfying. This delicious unassuming poke restaurant sits adjacent to the Fred Meyer off of Sleater-Kinney. It was surreal sitting in here and looking out at the Sleater-Kinney street sign thinking about another memorable meal years ago in the Sleater-Kinney neighborhood near Venice Beach. They are worlds apart in every sense of the word.. but really good food tends to blend memories together in a weird way. I now have two positive S-K associations etched in my memory. They have a small footprint in the Fred Meyer plaza with half the tables marked off right now due to covid-19 restrictions but I was fortunate enough to have the place to myself when I visited. I had the small bowl (3 scoops of protein!) over mixed greens and loved all of the options available to me. I ended up getting 2 scoops of the spicy tuna and one scoop of the scallops with the house spicy sauce (mild, as the sign says!) The toppings were pretty standard as far as poke places go, but I am always grateful when they don't limit you to 3 toppings at these types of places. Everyone knows the toppings make the bowl what it is! You need the variation in textures and flavors to complete your poke bowl experience. This place did not disappoint! They also had a myriad of Hawaiian drink options in the cold case to round out your Hawaiian experience. When you can't fly to Hawaii this is pretty much the next best thing. read more

One major difference in this restaurant compared to others is that the rice is warm. I was spoiled here thinking most restaurants were like this. The fish was fresh and tasty. The $11 including tax bowl is small compared to shops on Arizona but the cost of business is higher in Washington. I ordered the salad with salmon and the works. Next time I will ask for a different dressing as it all ran to the bottom. Also the tiny bowl makes the food look bigger but I'd rather have it look tiny in a bigger bowl. You don't always have a lot of great options when you're on the road, so I was ready for greasy, overpriced Tex-Mex when driving back from Portland. What a nice surprise to find a new, reasonably priced poke place around Olympia! I guess Seattle's #pokefever is spreading statewide. Tuna Poke is a build-your-own-bowl kind of place, which is good if you like customizing and not so good if you like poke that has been marinating in sauce for hours. You pick 3 scoops for $10 or 5 scoops for $14, but keep in mind these are like cookie scoops, not like ice cream scoops, so the amount works out to about 2 regular-size scoops. But I liked being able to try 3 different flavors, so that wasn't a problem for me. Next, you choose your sauce and they shake up the fish with your sauce. Finally, you choose your toppings: it's the usual range of seaweed salad, edamame, sunomono, onions, crab meat, furikake, etc. You can add avocado for $0.50, but we weren't offered this option. There's no extra charge for brown rice, which is nice. I went with spicy tuna, salmon, and albacore with the sweet sauce, which was kind of a creamy mayo that I don't think I'd get again. Warning: if you get the spicy tuna AND spicy sauce, it gets pretty hot! They were careful to measure out the scoops precisely, but you do get a good amount of crab meat topping. The bowl size is smaller than what you typically see in Seattle (about 6 inches in diameter), but it's full to overflowing if you want all the toppings, which I did. And there's no place in Seattle where you can get a poke bowl for $10, so the price was right. There's a decent-sized seating area with small tables for two or four, and it was empty when we were there. The restaurant looked clean and well maintained, and there is one gender-neutral bathroom in the back. I was sad to see that there's no recycling of cans or bowls, considering that you get disposable plastic bowls even if you dine in -- let alone composting. They were playing disco music when we were there, which maybe doesn't match the poke theme but was fun and enjoyable. Service was fast and courteous, if not especially warm. The owner was there, cleaning and working in the back, and you might have thought that as the owner of a new business he would stop by the ONE table and say hello or ask how the food was, but he didn't. We were there in the last hour of business on a Sunday, and I definitely got the feeling they were waiting for us to leave, which felt a little unwelcoming, but whatever. 6 pm seems like an odd hour to close, though -- just early enough to disappoint the dinner rush. Overall, a decent poke place, and they get points for existing at all in Lacey! If you're looking for a quick lunch or a to-go meal, this is an affordable way to get a fresh, healthy-feeling meal that won't break the bank. read more

The poke was pretty good, although my expectations are on the higher spectrum since I'm from Hawaii. This place does beat the other poke spot that is in Tacoma, so if you don't want to make the trek to Seattle, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. All fish options are plain, till you select your sauce. Their "Spicy Tuna" is not what I'm used to. It's finely ground and not cut up in the usual mini chunks. Interior space is mediocre looking. Owner probably chose second hand chairs and tables, cause they look pretty beat, and this place opened maybe a month ago. Overall 4 stars for effort! read more

It's amazing what they can cram into a small bowl (think large cereal bowl)...several scoops of rice (white or brown options - or you could go with the salad base), 3 (in a small bowl) or 5 (in a large bowl) scoops of poke, a number of toppings (imitation crab, seaweed, masago, crunchy onions, edamame, among others), topped with sauce, sesame seeds, and furikake. Whew! I usually go with just plain salmon, and I wasn't disappointed - smooth, fresh taste and texture. It's a fairly small store but I can't imagine it getting so crowded that you can't find seating. I got food to go on a Friday night around 6, and only one table was occupied.
