I went on the 29A bus from Old Steine for Tunbridge Wells. It cost me £4.50p ( 23 Sept 2008 )for a return. It took about an hour and half.
The journey was an interesting one. The bus cut through Crowbough and Uckfield. There was many little villages on the way full of expensive houses. Looking at the individuals getting off on these stops it made me wonder how they got their money to live in such rich villages.
The journey had its moments. A car drove into the side of the bus on the way back! And a village idiot pushed his way to the front of the queue only to accuse others of jumping forward! Also there was an irritating 30 something who told her friend and all of the top bus her business. Her daughter runs away and she can't keep a relationship going with anyone. Oh! And people keep ringing her up demanding money she owes!
Its worth the visit to this town. read more
