This is normally something I would have done myself, but due to time constraints I needed to hire a company. I was quoted $90/hr + parts. Seemed reasonable for a quick job. The tech was a great guy and made quick work of the repair. I was really happy with the completed job. That was until the invoice came over at just under $400. I was shocked when I saw the price and thought it might have been a mistake, so I asked for an itemized copy of the parts. Turns out it was not a mistake, they just mark up their parts by 400%-600%. I understand the business side and marking up parts... I am completely okay with that. However price gouging to this extent is pretty excessive. Sprinkler valve box at $40 each.. and small waterproof wire splices at $5 each is absolute robbery. The tech did a great job with the repair. I was happy with the work done, but I paid a PREMIUM for it. Just be aware of this before you have them complete any work for you.

This was not a minor trim...five branches were removed from a tree that does not belong to their client. At no point did anyone knock on my door, attempt to verify property lines, or get consent before cutting. This shows a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for property rights. To make matters worse, the cuts they made left the tree looking uneven, poorly shaped, and clearly not cared for by a professional. It now looks damaged rather than maintained. If you're considering hiring this company, I strongly suggest confirming how they handle property boundaries and neighbor communication because in my experience, they did neither. The roughness of my yard indicates there was little, if any, preparation. I am supposed to have fescue grass but there are other grasses mixed in, as well as plenty of weeds and crab grass. Some of the grass was in clumps. They did not roll the grass so it would make good contact with the ground, as good installers do. (Four of the five installers I have observed in my development rolled the grass after laying it down). Instead, they turned the sprinklers on to 20 minute cycles three times a day. That drowned three new trees and some of the grass. I have been watering, pulling weeds and crabgrass for two months now and much of my yard is still a mess.
