Incredible lounge! There are two lounges - business class and for mileage members. Since the walk to the business class lounge was far from my gate, I opted for the mileage members lounge. Oh boy, did this impress! I had such a wonderful experience flying on Turkish airlines into Istanbul. I wasn't hungry, but I was trying to find a quiet place to sit before my next flight. The lounge is huge with views of the airport. The acoustics are pretty amazing for how busy the airport and lounge is, it wasn't that loud. There are so many food stations with everything being made fresh. It was so hard to say no to another meal. I tried the homemade Turkish ravioli made with lamb, a Turkish coffee, and more. Delicious! I had some sweets before leaving too. Can't wait to try the business lounge when I head home!
The food and beverage options were wonderful. The ambiance was pleasant as the lounge wasn't at all noisy, which was surprising as it was very full of travelers. The service at the food kiosks was pretty timely and efficient. It was a comfortable way to spend a couple of hours while we waited for our flight. I highly recommend this lounge.
I liked this lounge a lot! There are a lot of different seating areas here and a good variety of food and drink as well. The place feels spacious since most of it overlooks the promenade below. When I was there, I was able to feast on some grilled chicken, pilaf, dips and simit. Also, I had a couple of really good desserts! There's an area to get fresh Turkish tea or coffee. There's also a large variety of drinks and I rehydrated with some fizzy water and a delicious sour cherry drink. Staff is good about clearing plates and keeping things moving. Restrooms were very clean! I was here about 90 minutes and even though it was busy, I found it relaxing and welcoming. Count me as a fan.
Who could ever imagine an airline lounge that could be a tourist attraction in itself? That would be the Turkish Airlines lounge at the Istanbul Airport. If you think the airport is big, be prepared to have your mind blown when you see the lounge. It sprawls across the upper floor. Unlike other lounges where you are offered sandwiches that have been sitting there for a while and less an mediocre food, the Turkish lounge offers multiple cook to order stations with all sorts of wonderful Turkish foods. If you're not in in the mood for hot selections, there is also a salad bar that rivals any that I have ever seen with over 50 items. A wide selection of baklavas and cakes and other desserts. There is a masseuse, ironing service, nap rooms, golf simulator, grand piano and more. It was so enjoyable that I didn't want to leave for my flight home.
Wow, now I get the hype! Probably the second-best airport lounge I've ever been in (the top honor goes to Qatar Airways Al Safwa lounge in Doha). It's a beautiful space, with different 'areas' and lots of seating options. There's lots of glass and it's 'open' to the airport down below, which is fun. One downside to that is the temperature-since the lounge is open-air there's no temperature control, and heat rises so the lounge was on the warm side. Tons of food stations-it was a little overwhelming so I didn't partake too much, but it smelled amazing. They also had a salad bar, dessert offerings, and much more. Lots of bottled/canned drink options, as well as self-serve juices and flavored water, and self-serve carts with wine (though they're a little hidden). Even though it's a huge lounge, it can get busy-I had trouble finding a spot for just me and finally found one wayyyyyy in the far corner. As with any lounge, that ebbs and flows as flights come and go. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the lack of outlets. Some of the 'cafe tables' had wireless charging pads on the tables, which is great for cell phones. However, not ideal if I wanted to plug my laptop in and work. Even the 'work pods' had USB-A outlets, but no plug-I was able to find a floor plug not far away, but it meant having to stretch my cord across a walkway, which wasn't ideal. They don't have their own wi-fi, but rather use the free wi-fi available throughout the airport. Sitting in the lounge, the connection was spotty-it kept dropping and was really slow. Perhaps it was just the corner of the lounge I was in, but not ideal for trying to get work done. As others have mentioned, the women's restroom is poorly designed. With such a big lounge, having so few stalls is poorly planned. The layout is also odd, as there are more sinks than stalls, and no room to form a line (which inevitably will happen with so few stalls).
I'd like to think that if I ever met any of my grandfathers that I would recommend this to them. I think they would enjoy it so much. I am not sure why I had this thought because both of them passed away in the mid 1900s, but the lounge just has this feeling that it would be appreciated by people from the 1940s and 1950s. It has this old world charm with a uniquely modern twist. This airport in general is so accommodating and comfortable. I wish I could have spent more time here. Guess I will have to book another trip some time, hopefully with a longer layover so I could explore more!

Stepping inside feels almost like entering a small village tucked discreetly into the terminal--expansive, beautifully designed, and full of inviting corners to discover. Despite arriving at a busy time, I was immediately struck by how well the lounge absorbs its crowds. There are countless seating areas, each with its own character: quiet nooks for reading, open communal tables, café-style spaces, and comfortable lounge chairs that make waiting for a flight feel almost indulgent. The food offerings were, without question, one of the highlights of my visit. Turkish Airlines is known for its catering, but seeing the variety in person is something else entirely. The hot dishes were plentiful, with flavors from different cuisines, but the stuffed grape leaves were a standout for me--perfectly seasoned, tender, and something I gladly went back for a second helping of. And then there were the desserts, which ended up being my unexpected favorite part. I tried several, and each one tasted freshly prepared rather than overly sweet or generic. It felt like visiting a little dessert market, each table offering something different to tempt you. The lounge's amenities also elevate the experience. The showers are a true gift for long travel days--clean, spacious, and stocked with everything you need to feel refreshed before your next flight. I also walked through the designated sleeping area, which was calm and thoughtfully arranged, providing travelers with a genuinely quiet place to rest. Even the regular bathrooms were spotless during my visit, something I always appreciate when moving through a busy international hub. There is an elegance to how this lounge is organized, almost as if every detail was considered through the eyes of a traveler. Even small moments--like enjoying dessert while overlooking the bustling airport below--made the experience feel peaceful and restorative. The staff members I interacted with were warm and efficient, adding to the sense that this is a place designed to take care of you, not simply hold you until your boarding time. It's difficult to summarize everything this lounge offers because it truly needs to be experienced to be fully understood. If you have access, I strongly recommend giving yourself enough time to enjoy it rather than rushing through. My visit transformed a long layover into something genuinely enjoyable, and I'm already looking forward to returning on my next trip through Istanbul.
Seems like this has gone downhill. A bit old and janky. The good: massive space with lots of seating. The bad: much of the seating is worn and dirty. The good: lots of electrical outlets. The bad: many outlets don't work. The good: a variety of food stations and serve yourself beer and wine. The bad: the food was cold, the beer was warm. Friendly staff though. And virtual golf, which is fun!
I would rather have my long lay over here as this lounge right runs 24hrs a day . Yes 24hrs .. food selection is outstanding.. lots of open seats to choose from . Lounge location is at the middle but to walk to your gates can take long to traverse.. they have lots of shops to browse while your heading to the gates
Wow, this lounge is huge. We sat and slept here since we were flying business class back to LAX. Our flight was around 8am in the morning and we had landed at close to midnight from our prior flight, so we used the lounge for about 5-6 hours to sleep overnight. Lots of food options available (even someone behind the glass plating your food), drinks in every fridge was stocked. Plenty of sofas that passengers were sleeping in. Loved the kids play area with the big jumbo plane and tv screens for the kids. My toddler enjoyed it while the whole place was sleeping. So many dessert options. Wish I had an appetite to eat during our stay, but I was feeling sleepy and ready to crash on the sofa. They have napping pods but you need to have a layover in order to book that room.
This is the best airport lounge I've been to full stop. Food is amazing, seating is abundant, service is top notch. Honestly didn't think anything could top Qantas and Qatar but I was wrong.
Wow. The airline carriers out of the U.S. and UK, could learn a few things with this lounge. 1. It's massive. Lots of space, easy to navigate with multiple stations. 2. Stations include made to your specs omlettes, a section for their special bread, bread the bagel like things made in real time, yep a baker. One for pancakes and waffles - fresh on demand. One for tea and coffee. One for fruits, veggies, olives, and their awesome sun-dried tomatoe paste, a must. With the exception of the olive, fruit, and veggie station, the others are behind glass, so no touchy for you until they hand the dish. Internet is fast. Lots of seating options includes plugs right there. You feel luxury here.
The best airline lounge I've ever been in! Multiple stations making food to order, self serve alcohol stations, video golf, great restrooms and tons of seating. A great way to kill time waiting for your next flight!
Dates: Thursday, June 18th, 2026 around 12:15pm Monday, June 30th, 2026 around 12:30am The hubby and I visited this lounge twice in June. First time was for a quick 30 mins during a layover from SFO to CDG. Second was a long overnight layover on the way back. It was pretty busy our first visit. Tho it was around lunchtime. I'm sure a lot of flights had layovers around that time. The lounge is huge. Plenty of tables, chairs. etc. I wanted some greens so grabbed some salad for a quick bite. We had some water. I had a pour of bubbles. I could only find one restroom which I found odd for a lounge of this size. There was always a wait. Second time was a night time layover. There were not a lot of people here. Basically all but the salad and dessert stations were closed. I did find a beverage cart, so I was able to pour myself some bubbly until they took that away. I think around 1am-ish? Maybe 1:30am. The germany world cup game was on, so luckily they had a spot with TVs. In the morning, it got pretty busy before we left around 6am. Since we were here for the morning rush, I was able to sample some eggs. Idk if they serve meat here, but everything I ran across was meat free. Some additional notes. They have self serve lockers here. So you can store your carry ons if you want to go explore the airport. There is plenty of seating, but not plenty of seating with outlets. We had a long layover in Istanbul and was glad to spent almost three hours at this lounge for International Travelers. Istanbul Airport (IST) is the home of Turkish Airlines and this lounge is beautiful and huge! It's located on the upper level and you can reach it via elevator (near Louis Vuitton) or escalator (across from Salvatore Ferragamo). You can't miss it. The food and beverage options are insane! I wish I had taken more pictures but my hands were always full with food, champagne or desserts. I thought their salad station/area was top notch. They had all types of salads like beets, artichokes, butter lettuces, eggplants, beans, walnut & tomatoes, hummus, tzatziki dips, and so much more! The ingredients are fresh and replenished frequently. There are hot food stations with chef preparing the food in front of you, like grilled chicken, falafels, rice, and meats. There is a pasta station, pizza/flatbread station where the chefs are rolling the dough and baking it in an open fire oven. It was AMAZING! There is a separate tea making station. Hot, cold and flavored tea. I don't really like Turkish tea but I admire the silverware and the art of tea making. There are bottled water and sodas in open fridges throughout the lounge for grab-n-go. There are alcohol carts with champagne and wine. If you're not full by this point, there is the desserts station with the famous baklava, dates and honey cakes. Oh mine, I was sad to leave to board my flight! LOL. Wow- this is definitely one the better lounges I've had the opportunity to visit. This is the lounge open to star alliance good members at Istanbul international terminal. Very large spacious lounge- several food stations with live chefs cooking Turkish specialties throughout the lounge. Too bad I had a short connection. Be aware that he Turkish lounge on the domestic terminal is very very different and pales in comparison to this. Also the Turkish business lounge (which I didn't have access to) is also different and star alliance gold does not automatically grant access to that one. read more
This was a nice welcoming place to get a ton of Turkish grub, it seems like every hour they bring out a whole new selection of freshly prepared foods. Great open space with ample seating and never ending options! Loved the hot shower that is included with towels and all toiletries. Looking at these photos that I uploaded from Thanksgiving weekend Nov 2021 makes my mouth salivate all over again. This lounge is on par with Singapore Air lounges in Changi Airport and lounges in Dubai airport with Emirates Air. Can't wait to fly to Istanbul again as this place knocks the ball out of the park! read more
This lounge is out of this world. I booked a ticket through Istanbul to Bahrain because the business fare was pretty affordable AND I was able to do an extra-long layover in Istanbul, get a complimentary hotel, and buy myself a tour of the city for the day. What a deal! Being able to use this lounge is icing on that cake. And yes, they have cake. A whole assortment of desserts in fact. None of which I actually had. But they sure looked good. There was also a stand for soups. And a bakery. And a salad bar with yoghurt and an extensive selection of olives, and an entire honeycomb. Bees not included. Then in the "middle" of this expansive lounge were two stone huts, each serving something different. And they changed up their menu during the day. They were serving more hearty dinner fare when I first came through and on my way back I got to experience both breakfast and lunch. Off to the side a bit is another area where you can enjoy hot tea ... and just next to that is yet another sub-lounge serving a variety of juices and flavored waters. And yes, a video game wall. Meanwhile there are upright open refrigeration units scattered about where you can pick up soft drinks and water. I did also see a wine cart at some point. Meanwhile, there are always staff members walking around clearing up plates and cleaning tables so it's not that hard to find a place to sit. read more
Before going to the Turkish Air Lounge, I read reviews regaling over how amazing it is. Well, while it was quite nice and offered some nice amenities, it certainly isn't the nicest lounge I've ever been to and I'm a little confused as to why it's be awarded with such accolade. The food was tasty, it was spacious (albeit kinda crowded), and offered fun amenities like a golf simulator but otherwise I don't see the appeal. Also, we had a super long layover (12 hrs) and we were told about rooms we could rent that had beds and TVs in them. We were very interested because we were so tired BUT... You can only use them if your lay over is between 4 & 9 hours, which we found very odd. Over all, the lounge was fine though. Free drinks. Free food. Free storage lockers. That's what you want, right? read more

Really enjoyed Turkish airline lounge. Not the best in terms of luxury (high end individually prepared dishes and premium wines), BUT amazing selection of tasty Turkish cuisine, tea, coffee, sweets! As a traveler, that's way more important to experience than generic food/beverages. So 5/5. Definitely would love to stop over here again. read more

The most luxurious and nicest looking business lounge I've ever been too. This place has everything imaginable. Made to order food. Drinks (non alcoholic) and coffees all available whenever you want it. They have a kids area as well. Lots of small lounges to relax in. Even a shower and sleeping hotel area for the long layovers. They have a golf simulator. Yes you heard that right. Also a flight simulator. This is the place to stop at when coming to Istanbul. Such a delight. Turkish delight. read more
Just a phenomenal experience each time I've had the luck to make my way to this lounge. First, Istanbul's newer airport is full of of food and shopping. What it lacks is a long term WiFi connection (you get a limited free amount of time before you have to pay.... trifling as hell) and lounges. The one lounge that has it all is TA's slice of heaven. I was a little meh about it at first but Camilla the yelping Hen just HAD to experience it. When you walk up to the entrance it's a bit odd. Basically forget about everything and everyone, have your boarding pass ready and scan it like a ticket at the gates. It'll scan in and let you enter. Then up the escalator you go... Right away you'll be greeted with the self playing piano. Camilla had a bunch of fun with it.... if you have baggage you want to stow turn a hard left to the lockers. Now, as you enter you will see all sorts of areas to sit. There is food everywhere. EVERYWHERE There are many live cooking stations each with their own hot item, made fresh before your eyes. From grilled meat to noodles, there is something to tempt you. They have large spreads of veggies and other traditional dishes. So many olives! I could eat here every single day! An unexpected treat is the local butter display. Eat it! Desserts are everywhere. I had so much that I felt guilty. From chocolate cake to local pastries, just go ahead and resign yourself to gaining weight. There are various seating options and the first time I went I settled in the area with day beds and got my snore on while Camilla played golf and toy cars. At one point I did have to stop her from playing too much, so that children who wanted to play could have a turn. There is no bar area that I could find. Just bar stations where you poured your own. I was sad that I could not find champagne but the local wine offerings were interesting, they also had various spirits but nothing too exciting. They also have good WiFi and it's free. Just scan your passport to get a code. In all, my time in this lounge was exceptional! Get there early and relax before your flight... it's the best lounge I've ever been to hands down! read more

The last time I was in the brand new Istanbul Airport, I had 37 minutes to run walk from one end to the other. I am enjoying this 4 hour layover much more! The main transit area is gargantuan and feels like you are walking through a massive exhibition hall like the World Trade Center or Expo grounds. But, unlike many other airports that have localized lounges near your departure gates, they decided to consolidate all of their resources into 1 mega lounge. The Turkish Business lounge has chef stations preparing local and regional cuisine as well as buffet spreads of vegetarian fare--Simit, Aegean Moussaka, Kao Soy (yes, Northern Thai curry noodle). Loads of beer, wine, liquor, juices, Turkish coffee and Bitter Lemon--long time since I've had it, let alone in a bottle! This is my first time ever at any business class lounge. It was not easy to find at the Istanbul airport. I arrived between breakfast and lunch time so the options were slim. Traditional turkish cuisine for lunch. Self service. read more

Turkish airlines lounge, both business and smiles for miles, both located in Istanbul airport are excellent. Plenty of seats of all kinds (comfy recliners, deep sofas, restaurant style seating and lounges). Food is plentiful and of a wide variety spanning Turkish mezze and heartier dishes. The bathrooms and showers are amazing and a perfect relief after a long flight. There are prayer rooms present. All assortment of drinks are dispersed throughout the space. The whole area is kept clean and clutter free by the staff. All in all a place to recoup whilst you are in the midst of travel. read more
Food food and food!! When you enter the lounge there's a gate in which you have to scan your boarding pass to get through but once you are through, oh my gosh!! It's beautiful!!! When we came there was a piano playing by itself and it immediately grabbed my attention!! But if you keep going down you will see FOOOOOD!! And tons of it too!! They constantly cook the food fresh and it's absolutely mouthwateringly delicious (tastes like it came straight out a lovely mother's kitchen). There is a couple of little pods with people constantly cooking with fresh ingredients. There's also little spots in different rooms that contain certain specialities such as teas or Turkish sweets. There's many ways to entertain yourself with a little sports game area and then there's another area with race car track and an mini airplane playground for the younger kids. Not to mention there's a prayer room, shower room, resting room and even private suites if you're lucky!! I seriously recommend the showers, it was a great way to relax after a long flight and wash off griminess from traveling. The interior is beautifully decorated. Comfortable with a great view of the #1 international airport concourse. Service is fantastic. There are luggage lockers and SHOWERS! There is very wide selection of food stations cooking on the door and many drinks. read more

Turkish Airlines is fast becoming one of the best airlines in the world. With the arrival of the new airport in Istanbul I was excited to take a look at the new business lounge. Not as humongous as the old airport lounge this one is on the Second floor of the terminal spanning the entire main area. You can take one of the four escalators to the lounge. The lounge has amazing views of the terminal floor. If you access the lounge via the main entrance you will find the concierge on your right side. On the left side is the seating area with many different food options. The fresh grill was my favorite where the chef prepared grilled chicken and Adana kebabs for the passengers. The food area is setup with different stations for different food options. 5 star lounge in a 5 star airport. read more
