Not the Wyoming welcome we expected! After a 17 mile drive out specifically to relook at furniture I was considering buying, we unknowingly arrived several minutes before Saturday 4 pm closing time. We saw customers enter as we browsed outside. After belatedly being informed by an outdoor staff member that they were closing in a few minutes, we approached the front door promising we would be quick. An unkind staff member, not dissimilar to the gate keeper of Oz, peaked out of the closed door and basically told us to go away. She went on to complain that it was "people like you" who don't understand they have places to be. I am not sure if this was a swipe at out-of-towners (I am not) but either way, while the concept of Turned Antiques is nice, it is not unique, and the potential unpleasant reception not worth the drive out. read more
