Was paying $60 a month for termite control and insect control. We still got ants in the house. And I just inspected the in-ground termite traps and THREE (out of 8) were NOT baited properly! Pics show new traps (which I recently bought) and one of their traps I pulled out of the ground! Each trap should have some wood in it, as well as a bait container. Their useless traps containd no wood, and the bait containers were empty, just filled with dirt. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Beware of using Turner Pest Control. I moved into a Florida community where Turner does the initial termite treatment. Then when you move in they come out and do a hard sell to upgrade your service which requires a large payment and to get the money out of that initial investment you are locked in to stay with them. Their monthly fees are also expensive. But my dissatisfaction has to do with an additional service I needed. I called last week to make an appointment for a mole treatment, they scheduled me for yesterday but charged me immediately. I wouldn't generally pay in advance of service, but since we were an existing customer I agreed. They sent an email to remind us of the appointment 3 days prior to the appointment, but then never showed and did not call. When I called them at 5 yesterday she had no explanation as to what happened. Said she would "try" to fit us in by the end of the week. I told her if they couldn't send someone out by tomorrow just cancel the treatment and refund me. She said someone would call me first thing in the morning to confirm. At 10 I still didn't hear from them so I called and they said their manager rescheduled our treatment for the end of the week. That wasn't the deal, it was supposed to be today and why didn't they call. She had the nerve to tell me that there are customers in front of me and I have to wait my turn! I regret that I let them talk me into upgrading our service when we moved in, to get the value out of the investment it doesn't make sense to leave them. We have Turner Pest Control for our home. While the technicians are very nice and seem to know their craft, and our home definitely has less of the annoying little pests we initially called them for, the treatments don't last very long and we have to call them back fairly regularly. We bought a 10 year termite bond through them, so I hope that it will be effective through the whole 10 years. The office staff, however, is an entirely different matter. They are so completely useless that it's ridiculous. it's impossible to get through on the phone. They require you to do drafting through your checking account or credit card where they have access and pull your money each month. BUT each month, I get at least 4 emails telling me my payments are late and I'm in arrears. How can that be, when I don't control the payments, THEY do? Incompetent staff, that's how. I was a Fahey ( family business) customer and they were great but were bought by Turner who is owned by the 4th largest global pest control co. and they are owned by a Swedish private equity co. They focus on profitability and not the customer. Very few Fahey employees were retained. Their customer service is terrible, I had four different tech service people and only one was good. The others killed the grass and were to busy and moved on to the next account. Price increases were frequent and more than the rate of inflation. We live in Sarasota, Florida, and I must say that the service we receive has been nothing less than fantastic. We started out with our first call complaining of tiny ants inside our home, and within a couple weeks, the ants were gone. After receiving our monthly service for over 3 years now, our home is still free of ants, and also spiders, roaches, or any other pests. I'm totally amazed by the treatment. When I call the company about a potential problem I think I might have, they're on it! After hurricane Ian, some of our termite pods were damaged due to a large tree coming down and after calling to explain the situation, they had the technician come out and replace the ones that were out of place. I couldn't be any happier with the technicians we have had or the pleasant customer service I always receive when I call the office. We are in need of a termite tenting. I scheduled an appointment and waited 3+hrs only to be stood up. My appointment was for 4pm. They called the day before with a recorded message reminding me of my appointment. I called the day of the appointment just before 5pm (they close at 5), to reaffirm they were still coming. I was told "yes", but no one ever came. I left a voicemail around 7pm letting them know that no one ever came. I still haven't heard anything from them in a week. My lawn was admired by five of my neighbors so much that they hired Lareau. Then Turner Pest Control bought out Lareau. A new Turner Technician sprayed the wrong chemicals on my lawn, and it was destroyed. I called my local Turner Pest Control office and their main office in Jacksonville Florida. Many calls with pictures of my lawn damage were not returned. Finally, Turner sent a supervisor to look. He said the problem was caused by too much watering. I use a soil water meter and it was not over watered. In fact, we live in South Florida it has not rained in three months. Also, my five other neighbors had their lawns ruined at the same time. STEER WAYYYYYYYYYY CLEAR OF TURNER PEST CONTROL. Horrible business practices. They are deceptive about their billing to get you to sign up and they know it.... telling you it's a start up fee and then $50 a month .. they come out tri-annually and that you can cancel any time and stop payment anytime. Tried to cancel and they're telling me that I have to continue my monthly payment through FEBRUARY to cover the last service that was completed..... it was never explained to me that each service was a set amount that was technically being financed over 4 months. I didn't even need nor want the service completed on November 2nd but figured I could just let them keep me on the schedule and cancel before the next billing cycle because I was already scheduled. Well jokes on me because letting them spray around my front door and bushes has cost me $169 and now I'm stuck paying it for 3 more months!!! If I change my bank info they told me they will send it to collections. The reps I spoke to definitely know they are being deceptive. They have you sign a docusign thru email WHILE on the phone signing up so there is no thorough reading of the service agreement prior to signing. Do not take their word. I will never take a representatives word on what they say is what I'm getting. The supervisor was no help either. Also the shit isn't even worth it because it's over priced and doesn't fix the issue to begin with ‍ spend your money on your own supplies to do pest control. So a year later a bill comes telling me the amount due is $265.00. So I call them and ask what do I get for this $265.00? And if my house has termites does this cover tenting them? They are supposed to come and inspect and they haven't. I call and speak with Sheavanne and this Don Anderson who never calls back. There is a $1,000,000 warrarnty coverage on the house but no one can tell me from the office what that means and what that covers. For example does that mean they will tent my house? On morning of appointment he called to say "that's not my job." And he would have to charge me to even come and take a look. He said he was "a salesman" for new accounts. Well the inspector sold us on the year long coverage. We have a rat issue and we decided to add the bug package as well. The rodent removal they charged me 300 bucks for was 2 snap traps and 2 glue traps in my attic. What a joke. Y'all should be ashamed to charge people that much for that. Not to mention, if they spring before the tech comes back, I have to remove the traps. Then what... oh ho to Home Depot and buy more traps myself. Terrible customer service. Spent $1500 to prevent against termites and bugs from some slick salesman. They showed up the first time and did their thing. Haven't seen them since despite calling them last month and then again today. They keep telling me I'm on the schedule but "something must have happened" and they could not get to you. Meanwhile, the neighbor across the street has a Turner pest truck at their house at least once per month! I was told it is because I'm not calling them requesting my "free" service calls...??? Isn't that what I contracted with your company for??? I pay you "X" amount for services rendered? Well, where are my services that I have paid so dearly for? There is something going on with this company and it's not good. I've read all the previous reviews and they all sound like my same story. Bait and switch.... they sell you on some termite protection with an exorbidant fee, and once you write that check and give them your account info you will not likely hear from them until you call and call and are tired of paying for nothing. Actual service at least seemed to do well and eliminate pest problems. Technicians were always friendly and seemed knowledgeable. My problem is with the business. We always paid for the whole year (though they do quarterly as well). This was always a problem. Always getting invoices for services we already paid for. Very disorganized. When it came time to cancel our services since we were moving (cancelled in February after multiple calls) is when things got ugly. They just didn't cancel it. Still sent out someone and billed us (service supposed to have happened in May). We got a collection letter at our new place in August (we moved out of state, btw) that we owe for this service. Now, I really don't care much about the $65 for this service, but the point is we cancelled. So we called them up saying "hey we cancelled", receptionist said we did not so we asked to speak with the manager/owner who was not available. Called us back a week later saying that we had not cancelled and per the contract they require 30 days notice (understandable) for cancellations... ...We know we cancelled "We'll who did you speak to? What was the person's name? What was the day and time? Why didn't you speak to a manager? I don't know how you lasted this long without writing this stuff down!".. argue argue argue. "You are now in collections and will be paying the $65". At one point it got to "well we didn't receive notice", "well get better employees", "we did, that was February"... and then still had the gall to act belligerent and argue that we are in the wrong. I have never been SO disappointed in a company as I am Turner. I didn't have much of a choice because my home builder hired them to do the Termite protection. So, after meeting initially with the Tech (Mike) - I also signed up for the lawn and bug treatment. (After this meeting I was told by my builder that they had already paid for the Termite protection for the first year... so I spent $650.00 as I was misled by the Tech! My lawn is now FULL of weeds and dead spots, they don't show up as promised or scheduled..... I have YET to see an "inside" guy to put down anything... I have sent email after email... even RESPONDED to an email because they can't "process my card" - and have STILL not gotten a reply. They are HORRIBLE and the WORST mistake I ever made was signing the contract they are now in BREACH OF.... EDITED to say that I got an email today cancelling my service - and telling me I owe them $315.00 for services they did NOT complete. They did a total of 2 lawn services...and destroyed my yard. I spoke with (I believe her name was Brook). What a terrible experience and this person has no business taking new customer calls. Her first question to me was - did you close on your house? I said no, not until Friday. "Then I suggest you call back then and set an appointment", she replied. I said I would like pricing information first (Why waste a trip if it's too expensive?) I asked to speak with someone else, she refused to provide the name/number of the field technician that I need to meet with or her supervisor. She stated her supervisor (Miss Bailey) will call me back. I asked when I should expect a call and her response was "I don't know when she will get out of her meeting". I have reached out to another pest control company and set up pest control since then. I am also waiting on the termite expert from the company to call me back with pricing. I will willingly pay more for great customer service. If I had a poor first interaction and that's just to setup an account and learn more. What if there is an issue and I need help? I have used them for their Termite and lawn treatment service and I finally fired Turner after 7 years of service. I have had nothing but issues with the lawn service where after 7 years, I now have to re-sod my backyard because the technician(s) they use do not read the notes on the account. I have always had an issue with lawn fungus (in the summer) in areas of my backyard that are manageable if appropriately treated. This past summer I had some fungus on the lawn due to the daily rain we get in the afternoons. They sent a Tech to do my scheduled treatment and he disregarded the fungus and instead applied nitrogen-based fertilizer to my lawn. Anyone who knows about lawn fungus is that you do not fertilize a lawn with fungus. It is like adding fuel to the fire. I called them immediately and advised them of the actions of the technician. Their response was to come back out and apply micro-nutrients to lessen the damage. They did this once and never followed up to see what else they needed to do to prevent the yard from being damaged. Well, as expected the lawn died and I now have bare spots in my backyard. I called them in early January to inquire about their action plan. No one called me back. I finally called them again today and they told me the only thing they can do is over-treat the yard in the spring and hope it grows back, but do not expect full recovery this year. As for the rest of the yard, it does not look like a yard that has been treated and maintained by a professional company for the last 7 years. As for their termite service, I did the math, and over a 10-year period, compared to other companies, you will spend over $2000 for their treatment service more than many others in town, who use a product more superior than what they use. No pressure sales just information so we could make a educated decision on a topic we knew little about. I am very upset right now. I called Turner Pest Control to do an estimate for my lawn back in March. Jake came out and gave me one, but I was not ready to have them do the service because I was getting sod laid in my yard. This week, I called to get someone to spay because the sod was going to be put down on Friday so I was given an appointment for today between 9 am -1 pm. Today at 1020, I was given a call to ask for my address and what time I wanted my appointment on Friday. This was shocking to me because I was just sitting here waiting for someone to come. The receptionist then said that she had no appointment for today and that I wasn't even in her system. I then gave her the information I was given yesterday with my address and she said that I was in the system but the account was canceled in 2015. I told her that was old and that I just had an estimate redone in March. She then continued to insist that I made the appointment on Friday. I stated that I for sure did not do that because I am having grass put down on Friday. Then she said she would get a supervisor to see if someone could come out today, but then countered with I was not in the system because I only had an estimate in and she could not do anything. She also never checked with the supervisor like she said. I was getting frustrated with the unprofessionalism, the lack of knowing what was going on, and her to changing her statement multiple times. This review is not on pest control service but on customer service. I called for an annual inspection, was scheduled and Don came out to sell me the services. He advised me that no inspections were being done because of the pandemic ( understandable) so I inquired about service plans for pest control... he response was, ' I can get you monthly service for 39/mo' ... no other options- nothing. He mentioned a $79 dollar start up fee which I figured would include the first month... as I was closing out with him he mentioned billing would start Thursday.... ok. So I asked what is the$76 for? His reply you Ask? 'It's a fee. Let's just call it what it is, it's a fee' Before the aforementioned conversation, picture me holding out the credit card he asked for multiple times only to be ignored ... yep, Ig-noted. I normally don't let it get this far but I was already 'turned around' when i didn't get what I ordered. THEN he says the card declined... so NOW I'm calling my bank while he has a casual conversation with the scheduling rep or who ever on his cell. I gathered they were ready to go home...anyway, as I'm calling the bank, He's asking me do you have another card... umm no sir, this is the card we are using if we are using one... That was my que to run for the hills!!! THEN he states, it's $76, they don't USUALLY decline if for that amount ... I had already reminded him that we weren't 'usual' a time before as he told me what 'usually' happens in opposition to something I said. So, the bank said they weren't sure if it was fraudulent so they blocked it and now it was good to go... I let Don know. Don processed his sale and walked away with his papers. No Thank you, no date and time on the card he handed me, no have a nice day, no customer service whatsoever. I can't wait to call them at 8am sharp. Maybe 810 I'll let their coffee kick in. I am a stickler when it comes to Customer Service. Don's behavior should not be rewarded with a sale... at least not from me. If that's an indication of the service I can look forward to, I don't want it. When I asked about cancellation... still no real answer... he asked me if I was planning on canceling ... I answered yes, eventually but I didn't know I was canceling it before it starts. I'll be talking to my neighbors because turner isn't the only truck I see so...oh, while I'm In FULL mystery shopper notation mode, he didn't even introduce himself at the door.
