We found ourselves looking for a photographer only a…read moremonth beforehand when we changed our plans to invite additional guests; Emma responded within a couple hours and set up a planning call with us the next day. She had thoughtful questions and got a good understanding of what we wanted. She helped us define a schedule, including nudging us to clearly define group photos and optimize the ordering of them, like ensuring that elderly family didn't have to spend long standing around between groups. I appreciated her website with lots of details, including clear pricing. We chose the micro wedding package for up to 3 hours of coverage and scheduled to make use of the entire window. Emma never made us feel rushed; I think she even ended up photographing for a bit longer than that, despite our best attempts to be respectful of her time! On the day of, Emma showed up early and took some lovely photos of the venue. During setup she was unobtrusive and got some great shots of us getting ready and guests arriving. Similarly, I barely noticed her during the ceremony, but she captured it excellently. Group photos after the ceremony went smoothly, including more great candid shots of guests interacting as each group got in position. Finally, photos with just me and my wife also went smoothly. Emma had scoped out a location for us with good lighting, and she was also happy to wander around with us to specific sites we wanted. She was friendly and funny and made our camera-shy selves comfortable. As promised, she got us some highlight "sneak peek" photos 3 days later, and had the full album ready for us 4 and a half weeks later. It was easy to download the full album at full resolution from her hosting service. I'm really glad we hired Emma and I am happy to recommend her!

Day of - ok we got a little lost at Maidu Park in Roseville but she handled our frazzled family with finesse. She has you fill out a questionnaire prior and had everyone's name memorized.
