This place is cute for breakfast. The service is always good. They have a lot of options on the menu. I would say the food is kind of like average dinner food as far as quality. The one thing I didnt like, we ordered scrambled eggs and it tasted funny. We found out they don't use real eggs for scrambled eggs... they use a mix or something. We didnt like it and now we know when we go we need to make sure to either not get eggs or ask for real eggs. read more

The food here is great! My fiancé had the lobster shrimp and grits. I had the lobster Benedict. One thing I will say is that I was extremely pleased with the size of Shrimp and lobster. We, the people, love & appreciate it!! The only thing that had me say meh was the cornbread. I think I would have been happier if it was warm. Cold corn bread sticks to the roof of my mouth haha. I accidentally spilled it like a fool on my way back- depending on the carry crate they provided for the cups. I should have just put them in the unused cup holders in the car to begin with. I called and said I was willing to pay for another (set of) cups again. They wouldn't charge me and I left a bigger tip instead. I am redoing my original PRE Covid review after many visits since. TP has exceptional quality offerings. Service is really good. Comfortable seating, lighting and atmosphere. Today the fireplace is lit providing a warm ambience. But none of that matters unless The food is tasty. And it is here. I've probably enjoyed 40% of what they offer. Comparatively, their juice prices are better than elsewhere. Their coffee is substantial in what you may consume. Happy to say i really love it here. read more

This is a go to breakfast spot for me. I come here for breakfast dates and girls brunches. They coffee is great and it's so fun the way it is served. I usually order a cold brew with cold foam and hazelnut. You get about two cups of cold brew maybe a bit more. A small container of the hazelnut and a small container of the sweet foam and you sorta do it yourself. I love it! Can't complain about the food either, the breakfast combo is my go to and I get the Belgian waffle with it which is my favorite item! The service is always good they don't rush you out. There is plenty of parking at this strip mall location. it's located outside of the Granite Run mall near Baltimore Pike. The place has really nice décor so it's very welcoming to come in and have a meal. The staff was very friendly and nice so that's a plus. We loved it all and here are a few things we tried. Cornbread French toast - We shard this and took some home. Best cornbread I ever tasted. Inside was fresh and outside toasted just enough. Coffee - They left a carafe on the table which was great. Avocado toast- First time trying it. I really enjoyed it. Huevos Rancheros - Hubby ordered this large dish and took plenty of it home with him. Popeye skillet- my meal was amazing. I had plenty for left over for lunch. Kid had scramble eggs - He enjoyed it and asked for seconds. My only wish is that they add "just eggs" to the menu so we don't have to purchase two "traditional egg" dishes at $6.49 each to feed my 10 year old kid. He usually eats 3 eggs and does not touch the potatoes or bread. He doesn't even want them on his plate. That was my only down part. We loved our meal. How have I not reviewed this place yet?!? My favorite place near me for breakfast. When I think of going out for breakfast, this is one of the first spots I tend to think of.. Staff is always extremely friendly and the food is quite delicious. I have tried plenty of items from their menu- sandwiches, omelets, french press, to fancy coffees.. I have loved them all. I always order myself a savory and sweet dish to satisfy both my cravings. Lol. YOLO right?? Anyway, this most recent time, I had the pumpkin pancake and shakshuka. Oh man!!! Did it all hit the spot. The cook did forget the goat cheese in my shakshuka, but the server brought it right out. My daughter isn't a big veggies person right now, but she ate a good amount. She loved the ciabatta and dipped her heart out. As for the pumpkin pancake...yum! I only order 1 pancake instead of the big meal, but I sure wish I ordered the whole thing. Came here with my parents. I've been to the jersey city location and loved it. It's not amazing like some other spots but it's def a good spot with a variety of options. I got the breakfast skillet and the portion was just meh. The jersey city location gave more. Literally looked like I hardly had any egg and I asked for scramble. Now I wish I took a pic. But the other items were good and portioned well. So that's why I took a star away just for my meal. 5 stars go to the staff! I went here for the first time in over a year to meet up with a friend for Brunch. When you get there, you can either call the hostess or use Yelp to check in for a table. They had this feature before, but I do love it and want to shout it out again where you can get a live look at the waitlist to find out how much time before your table is ready. I had about a 35 minute wait, which I sat in the car due to the cold. Once inside, all of the booths are separated by a Plexiglas divider and you can either get a paper menu or scan for the digital menu. I loved using the digital menu but I did end up also using the paper menu my friend had. Our server was amazing. She did not rush us at all and even encouraged us to sit as long as we like to catch up. I had the vanilla chai tea latte and my friend got the dirty chai latte. I did not try hers but she said it was very good and mine was delicious. The food was great. I don't remember which omlette my friend got but she was very happy with her food and I got the shakshuka which was delicious! It was the first time I have heard / tried it and it was so good, definitely a new favorite breakfast item. I want to learn how to make it myself. The really cool thing that I loved actually came when paying the bill. The receipt had a QR code on it so you could scan it with your phone and pay your bill, but CC wasn't the only option to pay. You can pay with apple pay, google pay and venmo. LOVE IT. Also, it gave three options when paying. I could pay for 1 of 2 people, pay a dollar amount that I enter of the total bill or pick the items off of the bill that I want to pay for and it would calculate it. It even split the tip and everything. I CAN'T WISH FOR THIS ENOUGH AT EVERY RESTURANT. Turning Point is a cute little breakfast/brunch spot in Media. The food was good, and the service was great! The breakfast menu was good! Nothing that blew me away, but it was a tasty breakfast. A friend I was dining with did get the Ruben Turkey Melt from the lunch menu and said it had a little too much cheese for her liking (hence why some of it is pulled off in the picture), but was otherwise very good! Easter takeout brunch during COVID was our first experience at any Turning Point. My Dad raves about the one in Jersey so I was expecting good things. I really liked the family style brunch menu they were offering. They allowed us to pick our pick up time and we were able to pick from a certain list of limited menu options with a fresh bakery assortment and juice being included. We had some hiccups. We got home and realized they forgot a few things, one being our pancakes. We had to call and drive back to get them. The manager apologized profusely, was very kind and explained that it was the first time they had ever done such a big offering as far as takeout was concerned. I'm sure they were overwhelmed with business, too, since eating out was not an option due to the pandemic. I did understand that it was not a typical situation and I appreciated her apology. Luckily we don't live too far so going back, although inconvenient, wasn't a huge deal. The food for our brunch was pretty good. The bakery items were ok. The potatoes were delicious. The French toast with mascarpone was delicious. I preferred it to the pancakes. The cookies were pretty good. I do believe that this wasn't their best. I look forward to trying them out once the pandemic is over so we can sit down and eat under normal circumstances. Their takeout might be better on a non-holiday as well. I would recommend giving them a chance! There is plenty of parking available and they have outdoor seating. In a non-pandemic word they are only open until I believe 2 or 3. My go-to for my first time at a restaurant is always a chai latte and their vanilla chai did not disappoint (bonus points for bringing it out in a teapot that gave me a little over two servings of it!!). For breakfast, I was torn between the omelettes and the pancakes. I heard the pancakes were delicious and will definitely go back for these, but I ended up getting an omelette. It came with breakfast potatoes and an english muffin, and the omelette itself was huge. I finished half of it and brought half home for later. I had a fabulous brunch here with my daughter a few weeks ago. We both had egg dishes which were delicious, and the service was absolutely impeccable. The place was pretty packed on a Wednesday around 11 which was surprising to me - I just happened to have the day off work. I guess maybe everyone else did too?
