Dragged here by my colleagues. Looking at the menu I struggled for a selection I might like. Starter: It was asked if the Beach Food platter was enough for four people? Yes, we were told. £12.95. A wooden chopping board arrived with four different items, but only three of each of those items. Does that mean one person goes without? I did mention this to the waitress (or are they all called Waiters now), but she was rather nonplus... Take it off the bill (in jest) fell on stony ground.... :-) Colleagues ordered more starters..... Is that the trick? I said I was too full after the Beach Food platter..... again, fell on stony ground.... I had the Fish Curry. I ate the fish (very dry), and a bit of the rice..... I told my colleagues I was too full from the Beach Food platter..... Go on laugh... I actually said that actually I didn't like the flavour, and the spice didn't come through to me. So....... Beach Food Platter: A selection of our spicy jerk chicken wings, pepper roti, sweet corn fritters & garlic 'n' herb flatbreads - great for sharing! CARIBBEAN CURRY FISH (See Picture) Snapper fillet cooked in a coconut curry sauce with garlic, ginger & scotch bonnet. Served with coconut shavings & sweet onion chutney & roti - £9.95 (Perhaps they forgot the bonnet). A pint of Red Stripe (Draught) - £3.95 It was very noisy for a poor bloke with two hearing aids. The music was loud, but unintelligible as to what was playing. I had to switch off my hearing aids to try and join the conversation. Look, also, if you use contact-less credit card to pay you can ask for a receipt.... Unfortunately, the waitress wasn't aware.... Too late.... gone...... Clearly not my sort of place.... OBSERVATION: They have a huge eating area, and a small bar area. They stop serving food at 10:30 pm. A group of six people came in at 10:05 pm, but couldn't sit in the eating area. They seemed a pretty neat sort of people, not going to cause trouble, and there were plenty of tables. The waitress decided to turn away paying customers, because the bar area tables were taken. Turn business away at your peril. 25 minutes to go for the close down of the kitchen. What? You expecting an influx of people at 10:15 pm on a Wednesday night? Perhaps an issue for a chain.
