We also operate our own on-site laboratory for blood tests, urinalysis, microbiology, molecular biology, and vaccination.
We are open 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, with same-day appointments available. Our multilingual team speaks English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, and 5 more.. so you always feel understood and at ease.
History
Established in 2017.
Turó Park Clinics opened its doors on January 19, 2017, founded by Dr. Madeleine Smit with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, personalized medical care to Barcelona's international community, locals, expatriates, and visitors alike.
What started as a focused medical practice has grown into a multidisciplinary health hub with more than 55 doctors and 15 dentists, two clinic locations, an in-house laboratory, and a dedicated treatment room for outpatient procedures.
From the very beginning, the clinic was built around one core belief: every patient deserves care in their own language, with the time and attention their health requires. That philosophy hasn't changed: it has simply grown alongside us.
Today, Turó Park Clinics is a trusted reference for international patients seeking continuity of care, medical second opinions, urgent consultations, or long-term health management in Barcelona.
Meet the Business Owner: Madeleine S.
Dr. Madeleine Smit founded Turó Park Clinics in 2017 after identifying a genuine gap in Barcelona's healthcare landscape: international residents and travelers often struggled to access quality medical care in their own language, with the responsiveness and personal attention they were used to at home.
A physician with a patient-first approach, Dr. Smit built the clinic around the values of accessibility, trust, and clinical excellence. Under her leadership, Turó Park Clinics has grown from a small practice into one of Barcelona's leading international health centers, without losing the warmth and personalized care that defined it from day one.
Her vision continues to shape everything about the clinic: from the way appointments are structured, to the selection of specialists, to the simple fact that the phones are answered seven days a week.
