Best Italian food I have had in a long time. Love the atmosphere and the Decour of the restaurant. The service was good and the food came out fairly quick. The wood fired pizza was great, love the smoky flavor and the smell of burning wood in the restaurant. The baked ziti lacked flavor but the plate that came with three different entree samples was a good choice. All 3 were great and each one of us preferred a different one. Next time we will know what we prefer. But you will not go wrong with anything you order. Would recommend giving this place a go. read more

First off, the service is amazing. The servers and bar tenders were just the sweetest people. The ambiance was neat. Instead of walls or pillars, they used curtains and cloth and up-cycled doors to divide the restaurant up into different sections. The food...oh...my...goodness. I ordered the garden pizza, 10 inch. So good! My husband ordered the Chipotle Chicken 10 inch. He greatly enjoyed it as well. The crust was hand tossed and brick-oven-fired (which they do in the bar). The complimentary bread is actually cut up scrap strips of pizza crust tossed with oil and garlic. So amazing! Our friends ordered the fried calamari. It was good, and I enjoyed the pickled banana pepper rings. They had pasta dishes (I do not remember what they were called), but they enjoyed those as well. My husband and I shared 2 cannolis, and they were some of the best I have ever had. I wish I did not live 4 hours away because I would go more often. read more

This was a new place I tried since I had an appointment in the area, and I will most certainly be back. The wait staff were attentive and the manager a delight to speak with. I loved the pizza.. great cheese and the crust was just how I like it. I can be a bit of a pizza snob being from the northeast and Tuscan slice didn't let me down. The bread that they gave us to munch on was so much better than the typical and tired old garlic knots, Italian bread or rolls.. I could've just eaten that and been happy. DELISH!!! The restaurant feels very family friendly and even has space and a variety of menu options for large parties. What a neat place!!! My son ordered such a fun item. The kids create your own pizza is literally a pizza that the kids create. They brought the dough, sauce, cheese, pepperoni and a mini rolling pin and my son went to town making the pizza. We all had fun watching him. What an awesome dinner experience! My friend chose this place for her birthday because she loves it. I'd never been there before but wondered why she'd want to go to a pizza place to celebrate her birthday. Now I know why. Pizza dough is hand tossed in an area where you can see it being made. I watched while two children helped toss their own pizza (something you can request for your kids), and they seemed to really enjoy the experience. The food? It was amazing! The starter bread is unique and fantastic. Tomato basil soup is something I often have and theirs was the best I've ever eaten - better than my own. The pizza was also incredible. We took home crème brûlée for dessert because we were too full to eat any more and I'm so glad we did, it was delicious! In addition, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The service we received was outstanding. When I learned the history of how this place was built and decorated, I was truly amazed. I live on the east coast but have many friends and family in Texas so I will visit often. I really enjoyed eating at the Tuscan Slice! It wasn't crowded when my family went despite being a Saturday, so we were seated right away. Our waiter was super attentive and really friendly. I tried the chicken fettuccine alfredo, which was creamier than most alfredos but was really good. Our family also enjoyed the pizza and it wasn't too greasy. One thing that I didn't really like about the place though was the decor. Great food from the kitchen and service from the waitress!!! The experience was not great though because of the hostess/confusion being seated. My mother and I walked in Sunday Dec 11 for lunch. It seemed the hostess didn't not want to seat us. We walked in and there was no one waiting to be seated, just us. I went to the host stand and told her "table for 2". Even though there were plenty of tables available, she suggested we sit at the bar. I told her "no, we'd like a booth". After we walked in, 2 or 3 more parties followed behind us. The hostess proceeded to seat every single party that came in after us, even though we came in first. One party even told the hostess that we came in first. She told the party that she had a table for us. I thought she was going to then seat my mother and me when she came back from seating them. But instead, she had us wait another 5 minutes standing awkwardly by the hostess stand because she was waiting for the tables she had seated before us to put in their drink order. We probably waited by the hostess stand for 10 minutes, while everyone who came in after us got seated before us. Did not appreciate the service I got with my mother. There should not be such a hassle getting seated. Everything was great once you make it through the obstacles in the front. Next time I definitely will not be waiting on the table that got seated before me's drinks to be put in before I am seated, I will just leave. read more

The garlic bread was so good!! It was soft and had the perfect amount of garlic, it is unlimited also! The oil and balsamic was just your standard oil and vinegar, nothing to write home about. The veal was very good and a huge portion. The only thing I thought was a bit over bearing was the acidity of the tomato sauce, I think it could have used a little spiciness to it to really balance things out. My friend got the steak Oscar, this was a lump crab cake, on top of what was described to me as a basic sirloin, underneath very creamy mash potatoes. The only gripe I heard him say was the asparagus was over cooked and a bit tough. The service was awesome and our waiter David was incredibly attentive which we always appreciate. The mozzarella sticks were also unique and looked home made I guessing. Which I give it a strong eight. Now the highlight of the day was the pizza on that oven roast bread. If you want high quality pizza Tuscan Slice is the place to go! It is some of the best pizza I have ever had. It is a must try. Now entree was the ribs two out of ten. Maybe it's an Italian dish and I just don't know better. It was the worst dish of the night. The trio pasta was like lasagna with just three different cheese and pasta. I give it a five out of ten. This is a great small town Italian restaurant. I recommend the pizza. This restaurant is steeped in local flavor, supporting the community. For me the food is good, not exceptional but good. It's better to eat the food at the restaurant, then get it to go. Because you definitely want to eat the food while it's hot. The bar menu is good with value for their selection of wines. (Not gas station wine, and not high end vintages) You can depend on your favorite dish to be prepared they same as last time. It's nice to have consistency.
