An absolute thrill to be here. I came early to see this…read moreamazing building and property because of its association with Wharton Esherick! It didn't disappoint! I'm smitten! Walking around outside was a delight. The theater sits along a lovely. Creek in such beautiful nature. The building was originally a gristmill built in 1840 & it became a theater in 1923. A gentleman took me to upstairs to show me a space with wonderful room showing off some of Hedgerow's green room displaying old photos of theater and it's actors during performances , piano , wooden furniture designed by Wharton Esherick, a beloved and accomplished American craftsman and a one-time set designer for Hedgerow!! He is very special to this area and if you Google him, you'll see how special is to American Folk art. I am honored to see one of my very very favorite theaters and favorite plays SHIRLEY VALENTINE! 2pm show ! It was absolutely such a good time and wonderful performance ! This theater has some amazing actors and great staff! A delightful comedy and 'feel good' play ! One woman show! I really had a wonderful time here. And I can't stop talking about it with friends !!

The Community Arts Center is tucked away down a local street, and I was concerned that I was lost--thankfully not the case. I had a great visit. The building feels like a living, breathing tribute to art. There are multiple floors for hosting classes and events. There is a kiln for firing pottery on site. Even the grounds are beautiful, with lots of art and sculptures resting around the walkways outside. The Tea Bowl Exhibition was very well done. I bought a ticket for a Japanese tea demonstration, which was really interesting and enjoyable. I thought I'd be at the Arts Center for an hour, but I stayed much longer to check everything out. If I lived closer, I'd definitely look into taking classes here. For now, I look forward to my next visit for an event or exhibition.

I wanted to try something new out of the ordinary and found the right class in this place, ZENTANGLE. Marie (instructor) guides each student into different levels of awareness, meditating thru lines, figures and shades becoming a complete drawing. She begins with breathing exercises and leads you as soothing music is played in the background. The class is a couple of hours and trust you'll leave there relaxed and proud of yourself. You don't need to know how to draw or have any particular talent to getaway in your own piece of art. I give it 5stars because of Marie's unique techniques, close parking, picturesque campus, clean bathrooms, and ZENTANGLE's ballroom classroom in the 2nd floor is quite elegant, each corner says a story. After our daughters first lesson we scheduled her subsequent lessons with Sean. He helped our daughter gain confidence behind the wheel all while challenging her to go outside of her comfort zone. Got my hair did this morning. Nothing beats a $6 haircut. So this is my second experience with a…read morebeauty school and I was equally happy with the results with the hair. Just like the last cosmetology school I went to, make sure you have at least an hour to get a hair cut and dry- there will be NO rushing here since all major cuts and decisions need to be cleared with the trainers. This place is a little rough around the edges (cheap decor, a little gossipy...) but the cut and assistance of the master stylist was good. And again, $6 haircut and blow dry? Can't beat it with a stick. My hairdresser student Vanessa took her time, talked to me about what I was trying to do in the future with my hair and was chatty- but not overly so. The only thing that's a little bizarre to watch is that the students not working on human clients are busy completing scenarios on their dummy heads at their stations. Imagine a room full of 15 hair stylists all working on mannequin heads...and you're the only human. Kinda strange. But- it's a beauty school, that's what they're supposed to be doing- hair! Most important thing to know about the place- they ONLY take cash. After labor and deliver (I'm 37 weeks pregger with #Dos) perhaps I'll go back for another cut and color.

Her car rental was perfect for the course, she showed me how to operate and answered any questions i had about the car. Booking was also easy to set up.
