An historic institution of distinguished higher learning nestled within an extraordinarily beautiful campus. I finally visited the book store and was blown away at its size and availability of gear, including a few Greek options, that included gear I hadn't seen before. I dove in on a few TU Mom, Dad, and sister shirts, as well as some Frat 'nalia, and I walked out spending ONLY $100!! I can't wait to return. read more

One of the most beautiful historically black college campuses i've ever seen. Red bricked buildings adorned the campus.. it has that preserved look. The history that comes with its beauty is what I truly loved. You can visit the George Washington Carver Museum, tour the home Booker T. Washington built and visit the burial site of him and his family along with other historic burial sites..all of which are located in the heart of campus. I recommend you see everything! The university was oddly very quiet. Which left us to assume that the students were in their dorms feverishly studying. Make sure to visit the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum on your way into campus (crawford st.) it's simply amazing to see and read about the young airmen. Emotional to say the least. read more

This is a review of the historical parts of the school. Very nice GWC museum with a lot of his personal effects. Remember many of the buildings were built by the STUDENTS!! Very humbling. Super friendly attendant at the museum. The Lifting the Veil of Slavery bronze statue is arguably the best statue in the world. That sounds stupid but in a world filled with statues of military heroes and the like this really is an amazing, moving, visceral, real presence. The cemetery speaks for itself. read more

There is nothing in the world like an HBCU. We dropped my first born off for his freshman year and what an experience. Upperclassmen met us at every corner from the front gate with Pom poms and warm welcomes all the way to his dorm. Initially I was flustered by the long route to his dorm, but that was part of the experience provided by the welcoming committee - celebration of your hard work, future, and the legacy of all who have gone this way before, that my son will add to during his tenure as student and future alumnus. Mixed emotions! The faculty and staff in my college are great! Love em to death. They are great ppl that are helpful in every way. These ppl truly have your interests and goals at heart and pushes you to your full potential. However the administration is another thing. As with any institution you expect to have bumps and road blocks, but the workers in the Financial Aid and the Bursar's office are HORRIBLE! I dread having to go in either office. They are rude, they talk down to you, and they're unwiling to help you, explain, or clear up any misunderstandings. They never answer the phones (and I've seen them ignore the phone while I was waiting in line). And they just have bad attitudes. Paperwork is always missing and it never fails, something always comes up at the end of the semester where you end up having to pay some fee that mysteriously wasn't covered or paid at the beginning of the semester. I can go on. But despite those few problems the university is fine. The things we put up with to be a Tuskegee Alum! read more

The restaurant inside of the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center serve a variety of foods and I've never left unsatisfied. This is where you will find the best soul food in town on both Wednesday and Sunday of every week. The establishment is very clean and the wait staff is very friendly. Not to mention the Chefs are FANTASTIC at what they do! read more
