I came here because everyone raves about their matcha. I wanted to like this place so much I've come multiple times, and everytime, I regret giving it another chance. The place is really cozy and nice for those who need to study, and the workers are always amazing. I wish their matcha was up to par. the lavender syrup is so overpowering for the lightness of the matcha that it feels like i'm drinking lavender milk :( I have even asked for two extra separate shots of matcha and they made no difference, which really confuses me. The staff was extremely welcoming and intuitive. It was a treat to have helpful staff. But this also meant that the ordering process was a bit slow. We had a regular cup of coffee, which was good, and a blueberry scone, see pic. While the scone was simple it was healthy and flavorful. Twee has been one of my "go-to's" for coffee in the riverside area for just about 5 years now and for good reason. They have a little niche hole in the wall vibe with a pink/nude interior that really sets it apart. The coffee roast that they have to offer is consistently better than most in the I.E. I told the gentleman helping me that it was my first time there and I was visiting from out of town, and he recommended different syrups to mix with the drink I wanted and customized the sweetness for me after I mentioned in the beginning that I like things that are not too sweet. I ended up getting the hojicha with rose syrup, and it was such a uniquely delicious drink. It was a beautiful balance of roasted and floral flavors and truly tasted handcrafted. I also ordered a slice of banana bread, and it was okay. Most pastries were already sold out, so if you want more variety to choose from, plan to come before 10am. The tables are a bit small to work on, and the bar had already filled up by the time I arrived. So, again, plan ahead and come early for prime seating if you need a workspace. The total for the drink and pastry was $11 before tip. Would recommend if you need a place to work/study or if you want a quick pick-me-up!! read more

This place sucks. I don't have the luxury or time to spend 30 mins in a coffee shop as a busy mom who wanted to try something new while I did my laundry next door. I tried to order something like I usually get and they gave me a hard time because they use ounces instead of pumps like Starbucks. Instead of trying to convert things for me they basically made me feel even stupider until I finally dumbed it down for them and said "whatever ounces you usually put in this size, please put half and half of these syrups." They understood. They just wanted to make me feel stupid. I wasn't trying to be difficult and in the end I paid $8 for a coffee that wasn't great. The service, terrible. It has the perfect level of sweetness that pairs perfectly with the top quality coffee that they use. This drink truly never disappoints! We were driving through Riverside and found this place on Yelp. There was a line out front but moved pretty fast. The gentleman at the counter gave me suggestions for a great coffee experience. He was so passionate about it and seemed to genuinely care that I enjoy my drink. I ordered a 20 oz quad shot with whole milk and coconut syrup. I have lived in the area for years and am sad I'm barely finding out about this place until now! The inside is so well decorated and catered to those who want to have a chat with friends AND those who want to get some work done. Absolutely love the decorations and vibes. Everyone here is so sweet and welcoming! I wish got the name of who took my order (around 11:40am 03/05 if that helps!) but they were very friendly and kind with helping me figure out which drink I should order- I mentioned I was craving matcha but thought the new white raspberry mocha sounded good, so they combined it for me! When my drink was done, another employee was kind enough to bring the drink to me personally, and I thought it was very kind of them to do so! The drink itself was life changing (actually). As a matcha enthusiast, this shop definitely gets their matcha down. For reference, I would previously purchase my matcha lattes from starbucks and matcha based shops, and Twee has it down perfectly! It's sweet to my liking and the raspberry foam had a nice tangy/salty touch to the drink. Overall I will definitely be back to try more! If not from a recommendation by a barista friend it's unlikely I'd have learned about this small but quaint café in an old arcade setting just off Magnolia. It turned out to be convenient too because we enjoy getting breakfast at Olivia's across the street a bit and it's easy to visit heading home. Parking can be a challenge since it's a shared lot with adjacent businesses, but the side street has lots of space so there's that. The staff are all very nice and great us warmly, to me that's always a positive thing. The menu is concise too, but they have specials too so look for the little display listing those or ask. Their syrups are also very good, especially the lavender. Most places are too light-handed with that but we've decided Twee is the undisputed front-runner in Riverside. I reallly like their house espresso, the first visit saw an Americano getting an extra shot, which they said was like 5 shots. That's not normal? ;) Anyhow, it's a little tight inside but I think we'll divide the visits between staying a while and hitting the trail after getting beverages. Overall, it's a great establishment with a high quality level of coffee and tea selection, there's even schwag hats and clothing if you like. read more

I was in the mood for a Matcha latte and saw the great reviews for Twee so I decided to stop by with my daughter. I got their iced matcha latte with oat milk, lavender syrup, and cold foam and it was refreshing and delicious. My daughter got an iced Chai latte with hazelnut syrup and cold foam and loved it. So now I've been stopping by every time I'm in the mood for a Matcha latte. A couple weeks ago, I stopped and decided to try their Matcha Mango Pop and loved it as well. It's made with matcha, mango puree, and sparkling soda. It was refreshing and I loved the mango puree in it, nothing artificial. The staff are super friendly and bring out the drink to you. There are some tables and bar seating inside and a few tables outside as well. They also sell some baked goods, but I haven't tried them yet. The parking lot is small and it's shared with other businesses, but every time I've gone, I always find parking.
