I've been there twice, both times finding items. One in the summer and once in September (last week). Recently I left the store with way more than I had intended....a pair of jeans that fit perfect for 15 euro, a dress (perfect for the office and also for a party with the right accessories) for about 30 euro, and a red purse for 10 euro. So, prices vary. It is not the cheapest second hand/vintage shop around, but their items are quality and the store is laid out well, so that you don't need to dig. The following morning I went back and picked up a sweater I had been eyeing, as well. As I said...too much! I was with a friend and she bought a trench coat and two tops to wear to the office. The biggest problem with this store is that it is too close to my apartment, and therefore it is too easy to shop there. They are open late on Thursdays, which is very convenient. They also have what looks like a decent selection of men's clothes and their little baby second hand winter coats are so cute!

Ladies if you have a lot of unnecessary bags, clothes, and shoes in your closet you can drop it off here for 2 months and they will sell it for you. Plus you can track your items online with them. It is always best to pick only shops that show you your account online, in order to prevent any drama. Mooi is so on top of it when it comes to professionalism. At Mooi you can also shop here for the best high-end and designer items at an economical price. They will sell your designer items for a good price and give you 50% of the revenue. I brought over so many clothes from California that I no longer have a desire to wear them, due to the weather, or experimental fashion I see here. Plus, it has been impossible to find space for all of my ridiculous amount of clothes, shoes and etc. Now that I live in Amsterdam, I have become more conscious of space and no longer the wasteful American.

I would say it's so unfortunate when one bad apple can spoil the whole barrel. However, I try not to let the bad apples spoil it for the businesses that are great and excellent at customer service in Amsterdam. For example, today I ran across this business, which was very unprofessional when it came to customer service. The person in customer service was between down right rude and unfriendly. Here is a little FYI: for these type of business and people that eventually can lead to less sales. When someone is attempting to patronize your business, please attempt to show a little bit of courtesy. What comes to mind when I think of these type of business is that you don't need an MBA to know that customer service is essential. For instance this business is designated on a popular tourist street. So you would think that they would have a little bit of etiquette when it comes to customer service, but unfortunately that is strongly not the case here. Staalstraat is one of my favorite streets to shop on, so I can tell the difference between what is typical in this area when it comes to customer service. Never the less, I refuse to let one bad apple on this street ruin it for everyone around it. I still adore shopping on this street and will continue to shop, but I will have no problem neglecting bad business that are a classic example of no-nos in the area of customer service. P.S. I had a lot of unnecessary clothes, shoes and accessories that I was not using but was just too fabulous to give a way so easily, so I dropped it right off here. I was please to hear that for every item they sell of yours that you get back 50 % of revenue from it. I thought that was very reasonable on their part, compared to some of the other business. I totally loved the shop. It reminded me of a cool vintage shop that I would spot on Melrose, in LA. They have a variety of unique things, but my favorite was their vintage diva hats from the roaring twenties. You will spot a lot of unique things in here that will inspire you if you have a passion for vintage.
