Came into Maison Bergogne and was impressed with their items. The building itself is a site to…read morebehold. It dates back to the 1920's and used to be a school bus garage. The antiques, home decor, and even wildlife taxidermy are incredible. Going from room to room was an adventure and some of the items will leave you mesmerized. The photos that you will see will not do justice to what your eyes will see. The owner is very friendly, answered all of our questions, and gave us lots of history within the area. If you're in the Narrowsburg area, don't hesitate to stop into Maison Bergogne. You never know what might catch your eye. At the very least, you'll leave in awe.

You'll need to be careful pulling in, as the slope down to the parking lot is a little narrow. Inside, you have the entire ground floor (~5 large sectioned rooms) full of various antiques, ranging from knick knacks to furniture. There is also a staircase not far from the entrance which leads to the barn loft that overlooks the whole store; the walkways up here run throughout the barn, and are also packed with various items. I especially like this place for the variety of different items (primative crafts, dolls, old toys, some pottery, etc.). I've even seen some trench art items laying around. The owners here are willing to bargain within reason (mostly on more expensive items), which is also very beneficial. Combined with the other 2 antique stores on this road alone--not to mention elsewhere by Warwick--this is a must stop and one of the best antique shops in Orange County that I've encountered.

Many small auction halls seem to play games with buyers and consignors. I'm honestly not sure if it has to do with ineptitude or dishonesty on their part but it just seems to be the norm. Flannery's is one of the exceptions. I have been attending auctions in the area regularly for the past 10 years. Flannery's is one of the few auction halls that I've been to in my life that I don't feel like I'm being misled. I've been picking for a long time and have been to auction halls both big and small from coast to coast. Marianne and her staff are top notch. She seems to really look out for her staff and respects the people that work for her. This is rare in the auction business too. Best of all for me is that it is a quick drive from home.

I was not expecting what I found, which was a really cool store stocking mostly Southwestern and Mexican goods! The store is in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, on the Pennsylvania side. It's on the northbound side of Route 209, across from the Delaware Cemetery. There's a white columned house with a semi-circular driveway, and next to the house is a long, wooden building with a yellow sign and old license plates near the door, and chili ristras hanging from the roof overhang. Inside is quite a collection: wonderful Day of the Dead merchandise, fine crafts, some fine art prints, "Graphite Objects" ( http://www.asbworkshop.com/collections.html ) that are hand-carved and write without rubbing off on your hands, animated diffraction grating postcards, Frida Kahlo items, carved wooden boxes, ceramics from Acoma Pueblo, rugs, scarves, felted animals, tin animals, jewelry, Talavera ceramic tiles, "treasure boxes," glass ornaments. The store is not large but despite the amount of merchandise it doesn't feel like it's too tightly packed. It's definitely worth stopping in if you are driving Route 209 in the Dingman's Ferry area! In fact, if Day of the Dead merchandise interests you, it's worth stopping in if you are anywhere within the region!

I purchased a vintage handbag from this company online and was not informed, either in the listing…read morephotos or description, that there is a large spot on one side. This was conveniently left out of the photos by showing only the top edge of the damaged side -- the spot located out-of-frame, beneath this edge. As an online seller myself, I find this way of doing business underhanded and unacceptable. Additionally, I received no confirmation of shipping or a tracking number until I was forced to reach out. Sadly, I cannot recommend Flannery's Estate Services to others and will not purchase from them again.
