I've been shopping at twice as nice through three owners and love it. Hillary started it and she was fantastic. Cari and Tyler were second and terrific. And now I look forward to getting to know the new owner. It is always such fun. It's a great hobby consigning, getting credit, and then buying new to me items. I just adore this shop. They're doing all they can to keep their doors open and to keep every one of their customers safe. I truly hope they can survive this pandemic. The clothing selection is amazing. I really like the Price drop tags, the back sale room And...the way they display clothing by color. (I May be a little OCD ). I always leave with something, most times many things, that I love. The staff and the owners are super helpful and always pleasant. Please support them. You won't be disappointed. I feel that I need to address Michel's review below. It saddens me that you would publicly post that you wouldn't return because the owner request you wear a mask. Obviously you haven't experienced the loss of a loved one from this disease and I'm glad that you haven't. I sincerely hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy. The owners of this business and many others are only doing what is required of them to be able to open for YOU and to try to stay afloat. It will be very, very sad if they lose their business while our friends and families continue dying or if we all go into lockdown because people can't seem to think beyond themselves and their own selfish needs. Husband and I have been regulars since moving to New Bern, but no more. They've gone mask crazy.

What a place! I could spend hours going through the 40+ racks of clothing (sorted by size), the racks of shoes, purses hanging from the walls, jewelry hanging and in cases, furniture, little figurines and so much more. The prices are also very reasonable and many of the items that I tried on and viewed were in great condition, no holes or stains and some with tags. I like the system used to price the items. There is no guessing game played here. They have a system which is used by lots of consignment stores where depending on the date of the purchase of the item the price goes down. I.E. 25 on 8/1, 20 on 9/1/15, 15 on 10/1/15 then a yellow sticker for half off the lowest price. So you could press your luck and wait and come back and see if its there or snag it at the "full price". The employees were very friendly and there to help with anything! Of all the consignments stores in historic new bern (and there are several within blocks of each other), this would be on the top of my list! read more

AWESOME shop downtown! I own a hair salon & walk over to Twice as Nice whenever I get a break! It's a great place to find second hand formal & casual clothing, shoes, purses & jewelry. They also have household items as well. I always hear complaints that it's hard to find a formal gown in New Bern, make sure you check this place out as their formal section is great! read more
