After 18 years, my family canceled our membership this past spring. Once a fabulous family pool, TF has become increasingly corporate and, consequently, lost that family feel. One small example-- members without kids once were gratefully accepted to help at swim meets; members without swimmers are no longer welcome to serve. Last summer was the final straw in several ways: the sign-up for lap lanes was not electronic, made no sense, and was haphazardly enforced. But, even worse, only the manager would insist that members comply with COVID-19 regs. When they were asked to enforce them, EVERY guard (other than the manager) replied that it was not their job. Result? The COVID-19 regs and rules promulgated by the State and County were complied with only when the manager was working (and only when members asked). Other results? With many other (and, frankly, much more attractive) options available, it's not this family's "job" to support what once was a terrific club.
