I ordered 6 bottles different Wine from Italy for about $150 last Saturday over Door Dash . 2 of them were the wrong wine but I could accept that. So the first bottle I opened was ok. Then I opened the Spanish one and the cork crumbled immediately and mess up my electric corkscrew. The wine was absolute gross, brown already and with a sting on the tongue like extremely acidic. I spit it out right away. Then the wine from California has had screw top. After I removed it there came out a strange grey mist and a moldy smell, I was brave enough to put a tablespoon in my mouth but it was so aweful, I spit it out and rinsed my mouth a couple of times. Now there is another bottle from 2013 still closed, but regarding my research it already has expired its best drinking window, so I will not even open it and will return it. read more

I visited Twin Liquors, located at 1103 W Stan Schlueter Loop, to purchase Ginger Beer. I was standing in line, and the lady behind the counter (with a mask on) looked me up and down (profiling me) while I walked up to the counter. She asked me for my date of birth for Ginger Beer (which is not alcohol). I asked her if she was serious, and she stated that I was in a liquor store. I was shocked. I gave her my date of birth, and then she stated that if I had a problem, I could talk to the manager while I was paying. I should have just walked out before paying and gone to a different liquor store. I stated sure. I talked with Ansley, and she stated that I was in a liquor store and I would have to show my ID, which the lady did not ask for. I also called and spoke with Ansley about my experience at that location... I'm still shocked. I stated that if your store is going to ask for age, then you all needed to have everyone show their ID to make it fair to all customers. Ansley stated that customers can be asked for their age of ID if they look under 40 years of age...I'm 46. I have never had these problems at other Twin Liquors or even other liquor stores, and normally not at this location. I will make sure that I let my friends and family know not to go to the stan schlueter location unless they want to be harassed. read more

The cashier at this location failed to bag a sample bottle of patron that I purchased along with other items. When I went back in to rectify the situation she told me there was nothing she could do because she saw me pick it up in a separate bag. There was no separate bag. The items that I did have which were much larger were double bagged. Why bother to separately bag a bottle that small. This location has lost my business and i will be going to specs. read more

Great selection but the people... Less than helpful, not very customer oriented. One followed me and my husband to the back of the store, I guess my husband was shopping for liquor while black...
