They even have a bulk section with a lot of spices, so that was nice. It is a little bit pricey but I guess that's the cost to pay to be autonomous in the desert for a few days. I understand the grocery store has a closing time but the staff should expect a 5-10 minute delay in closing for customers to finish shopping. They can always lock the door and then unlock for a customer to leave. There's an appropriate way to let customers know when it's time to go but not the way the store employee approached me. They signed up for the job so complaining to me is unacceptable and absolute horseshit. The staff should be talked to.

When I drove my car with the spare tire to Alpine, I was desperate and out in the middle of nowhere & all auto shops are closed. Headed into the gas station & Sharon was so nice to call the owner of Auto Glass Alpine on the other side of the street for me. Eventually the owner, Vance, from the auto shop came in and helped me put on a tire that I could rely on & drive back home. It's a 500ish miles away and the doughnut would not make it that far away. I'm so thankful for all helps the people here offered me. PS - Because I was in such bad luck, bought a lottery scratch and killed the time waiting Vance.

I've visited the winery twice now and it's a permanent stop on the itinerary I plan to Marfa. If you're a red wine drinker - you're in luck - as yummy reds are the bulk of the varieties you can enjoy. I recommend doing a tasting to fully enjoy - especially if it's your first time visiting. Plus - if you end up purchasing a bottle, the tasting fee is waved. While the property itself is still a bit in progress (they were putting the finishing touches on an AirBnB section the last time I visited, it's more about the wine and the views, right? And there's no better way to pass your day than by enjoying a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains as you gaze out over the grape vines. The staff is ALWAYS super friendly, if you're lucky you'll spot one of the roaming pets on the property, AND there's a really awesome food truck on site (Too Hot for TABC). If you find yourself in the area, don't pass up a visit to Chateau Wright Winery.
