Good course. Well kept. Fairways, green and tee boxes in good shape. I'd golf here again.

Decent and well kept club…read more I have only golfed here once and really enjoyed myself. Nice quiet course. Not too difficult but, then again, I am extremely amateur. Well kept green's, fairways and overall a very clean course. I've been there several times to use the driving range and also their putting course. The driving range is set up nicely right near the parking lot. Go inside of the pro shop and grab a jumbo bucket of balls for $10 head back out and hit 'em straight. Once you've worked on your drive, chipshots, wedges, irons and woods, walk over to the putting green courses. There are 2 putting green courses. Each one of them has about 5 holes, or flag's, to shoot at. Good angles, hills and curves. Probably one of the best putting green practice courses I've ever been to. Would I go back? Absolutely! If not for anything else, they have a nice and well kept driving range along with two great putting courses.

There was no parking. People were parking on the grass. I asked Chris about it and she said she should probably have told my granddaughter about it. PROBABLY!!!. Chris said my granddaughter really wanted that day. The was not true. My granddaughter, Cassie, wanted a day in October. They booked a day in October and when Cassie went to tour the facility, Chris told her she gave that day away to someone else. Golfers were walking through the wedding area. Some of the guests went home because they could not find a place to park. Food and beverages were paid for guests that could no even get in the building. As long as Chris is in charge I would not recommend this place to anyone. Maybe if we were members of the golf club we would have been treated better???

While I do miss former employee Kevin Moneace I see the course is continuing their pride in the course conditions that began about 10 years ago and I'm certain will do nothing but improve in years to come. This course is a credit to its benefactors ( The Potter family ) who have proven their love for the City of Hamilton , its citizens and to the greatest game ever invented by donating the course to we citizens , and to the Potters , the citizens of Hamilton and the hard working staff that keep the fairways lush & flush , the carts clean , the snack bar food prepared tasty & to good quality standards , the greens as fast as those I've played at Sawgrass , the rough emerald green with majestic old growth timber and beautiful views of rolling hills , meandering streams and inner city wildlife I submit a heartfelt " Thank you"! And to the author of that sham review I suggest you go take a course in golf etiquette & back to your putt putt & know that your presence will not be missed ! You sir or madame are a liar! After 30 years golfing at this course that was founded in 1929 I am passing this rich tradition on to my grandson who at age 8 has already been learning the game with me at Potters and will look forward to teaching his grandson at Potters. Signed , an extremely satisfied customer who has introduced scores of business associates to this credit to our City Potters Park Golf Course which by the way Jack Nicholson found adequate as the location to win his first tournament at and was a favorite of hometown hero Honorable Joe Knuxall. I come here on a monthly basis, at this point. I really enjoy getting to play and time with friends…read morewhen I'm here. The variety of games are good for any level of player. The food is usually good, anything I've ordered has been delicious and served hot. Unfortunately, I frequently forget to snap photos of the food! During a recent trip the fries and tots my friend ordered both came out less than hot. The fries were cooked but had likely sat for a while, the tots were almost under cooked and definitely had sat for a while before coming out. The burger and sliders they ordered came out hot, so it balanced the meal out. Service is always friendly and helpful. Looking forward to another visit soon!

This is a hard review to write. Let me start with the manager did take care of our issue with the…read moregolf ball dispenser by giving us a discount. Issue 1 - The golf ball dispenser did not work well. We had to waive the club over the sensor or hold it there for 30 or more seconds for each ball. I said something to the waitress, and she saw that it was spitting out balls, just very slowly. She did nothing to help us. I complained at least 3 times to her. The people next to us were playing 2 or 3 balls for each one we were getting out the machine. After an hour I went inside to complain, and they sent out a maintenance man right away. He said that the lid was loose and reset the lid. The machine worked perfect after that. He gets a gold star and the waitress gets a frown from me. Issue 2 - We booked the bay from 9:00 to 11:00. They did not open the doors until exactly 9 which I understand. After we were playing, I realized that they shorted us 2 minutes on our time. I took a picture and I agree that 2 minutes is not a huge deal, but when you open your doors at 9:00 my time in the bay should have went to 11:00 for the full 2 hours. I did have fun playing golf with the family and the goal posts were a nice add since the last time we were there.
