Came in to eat with a few friends and after ordering, I noticed that the chef that was cooking had dropped so food on the floor. Our neighbors (original Arlington residents) hooked us up to this place. First time we went for dinner and I had the gyro salad. Yum. Second time for lunch had the gyro. Yummmm. Daughter had one of the pizzas and the crust was some of the best I have ever had. Husband had some ridiculous hamburger with an egg on it and he said it was very tasty. It is nice to eat at a mom and pop restaurant and now that we have discovered it we will eat there regularly. read more

This is the 2nd time I've ordered from them and this is probably the last time. The tuna salad isn't good...and today I got the Two Chef's Salmon salad and it was HORRID. $13 for a bag of lettuce, olives, cucumber, red onions and overcooked salmon. The salmon has ZERO taste so it was either frozen or just not seasoned at all. When you overcook salmon it becomes a bit chewy and very disgusting. On top of everything, I tipped the driver $2.50 some shit food. I was extremely disappointed. read more

The worst service I have ever received. It took 15-20 minutes after us asking to get refills and our server seemed to be angry that we even asked. Pizza was absolutely horrible and not a good deal by any stretch of the imagination. The place was pretty much empty when I came so that's not an excuse, but I do understand why it was that way now. Not bad. Ate lunch there on a Sunday about noon. We were seated right away. The food came quickly. It was hot, and it was good. Portions were fine. (I may have gotten one less chicken wing than I was supposed too, but am not sure.) The only reason I give it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is that the server was not very friendly. She was kind of a grump. I don't expect the server to be my BFF, but "not grumpy" would seem to be a low bar to hurdle. It was the first time I'd eaten there and normally I would not go back. However, I've been told by others who ate there that their server was friendly. Oh well, maybe our server was having a bad day. I will try 2 Chefs again. ++++++++++++ Have eaten there twice since, each time with a different server. The service was better the second two times and the food was good, so I upped my review from 3 to 4 stars. Very disappointed with both two chef and the slice app service. They called me to tell me no mozzarella sticks or French toast and I had to call slice to get money back for that. Then they were more than 30 minutes late. When I contacted the restaurant to track down the delivery man they said they didn't know their delivery man's number because he had only worked for them a week. We ordered at 8:39 and got it at 10. Timing on slice app for arrival was between 9:16 and 9:31. The food was mostly cold. The fettucine was rancid as was the cheese in the greek combo dish. The eggplant dish was off and taramsalata very salty. The chocolate cake was dry and dusty. The dolmades and pizza were the only good items. The tartar sauce with the fish and chips was good but the fish and chips weren't great. We threw away everything else. I already had to feed my 10 year old leftover soup bc the pizza was so late. Horrible experience. Sad to give such a bad review to a local shop. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of the pizza. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years! Unfortunately the original owners opened up a new restaurant in Ashburn, VA a few years ago and I have seen a decline in this old Arlington favorite. Their son is now in charge and it is clear that many short cuts are being made. My old time favorite was "the sizzler". Well it doesn't sizzle anymore. Clearly the son does not know how to make what used to be one of their specialites. The last three times I have gone I have been very disappointed. Not sure I will try it again. I really wish George and his wife (the original owners) would come back and figure out where their son has gone wrong. read more

alright guys, ive read all the reviews and they have actually addressed a lot of the concerns mentioned. first off, i like greek style pizza and this is the ONLY place in the area that makes it as well as the places back home. they have updated the interior and now have a tile floor. i don't mind the interior, im not there for decor im there for the food and the food is good. i usually order an omelet, the gyro platter or some pizza. they DO serve pizza by the slice now and they also deliver, which they may not have done in the past. the subs are solid, toasted bread and they have great tasting meatballs and a great chicken parm...i dont recommend the steak and cheese. their breakfast is one of the best kept secrets in town, they only do it on weekends and you can get it until close to noon. i love the fact you can always get a seat and park easily, unlike silver diner, ihop or bob and ediths on the weekend. i have no issues with quality either. it's a solid breakfast. As for the staff, most of them been working there for years and they are sweet ladies. a guy who i think is the owner's son is usually in the restaurant and i find them to all be friendly. the service isn't the fastest in the world and i don't go hear when im in a rush but that isn't an issue in my mind. i like the laid back atmosphere. as for overall cleanliness, i have no issues since they redid the tile. management has clearly made an investment in the place. you are able to see the entire kitchen by the cash register and it looks the way it should. Furthermore, in my mind, the best way to assess a restaurant's cleanliness and just left there near closing time and the bathrooms were freshly mopped and cleaned. the staff takes care of this place it isn't brand new (besides the floor) but should it really matter? at least you know they have been in business for a long time and they are still in business because they make good pizza and subs. i kinda laughed at the reviewer who complained about the salmon dish. you don't go to a pizza restaurant for salmon. wtf? anyway, this place is solid so boom-4 stars. read more

We made the mistake of dining in early one Friday evening. The dining area had 2 wait staffers and 5 occupied tables, none of them big parties. I had a visual of the take out counter that was busy. The service was so slow it was barely crawling. The clam chowder blah, the fried calamari obviously was suffering from freezer burn before those dried up little rings were dumped into the deep fryer. We opted to take our entrees to go for fear that we would end up dying in that booth if we sat there any longer. My lasagna was obviously NOT made in house. I tried to place an order by looking at the prices they put on Yelp/GrubHub and this "Gentleman" literally yelled at me on the phone for me bringing this to his attention. I said, multiple times, "I don't care that the prices are wrong, but you should probably correct them on Yelp/GrubHub". The person manning the phone is obviously a crazy person. The way he spoke to me is no way to speak to a customer who is verifying prices. I casted no blame, I just made statements about their menu listings. I understand that businesses change their prices at any time, and I think if a customer points out a discrepancy, they should get angry at them. I, at no point, tried to get him to honor the prices. I asked if he was the manager and if I could speak to someone who's more calm and he replied, "That's none of your business, are you going to place an order or not?!!!". I was literally floored. Floored. I am honestly disgusted that anyone would yell at me so viscerally without even giving me a word edgewise. I was a server for 5+ years and I understand that people have off days and are not always kind and happy to help. But this wasn't merely a moody employee/owner/manager; this was an enraged, and possibly deranged individual. I would advise anyone that likes human decency, common courtesy and great customer service to steer clear of this place. Pupatella is right across the street and they have AMAZING food and the servers and manager are very kind and very welcoming. read more

The food here is excellent and the atmosphere is of a casual diner. The owner is alway's smiling and remembers us every time we come back. I defenitely recomend this place for those times when cooking dinner is not an option (coming home late from work etc..). When I went to the bathroom next to door for a women's bathroom there was a big bin without a cover on it that had a brunch of food scraps and trash in it. Best place in Arlington for real Greek food. Gyro is delicious, spanakopita made from scratch by the owner is excellent and the chicken souvlaki is amazing. Breakfast with a Greek twist is creative and delicious! Kid friendly with kid food also, pizza, chicken fingers and fries. They have a mean steak and cheese sub and my son's favorite the chicken steak and cheese. Family owned and run. We moved and miss it so much. Every time we go back to Arlington we go there. They are a mom & pop restaurant that has been here for decades. Wide variety of food choices! Very good food and the service is expected for a mom and pop restaurant. We have done take-out, eat-in and delivery. Again--depends on the day and who is working on the service. The people are friendly. The older lady that works there is interesting. She doesn't smile and probably has been working there for several decades. However, she is a pretty good server. The pizza when delivered can be undercooked so we decided not to get that delivered anymore. However, when we have it at the restaurant, it is always good. This place has been an anchor in the community for many years. A family business that is run well. There are the menu staples you find elsewhere but George has maintained a high level of quality that stands out in the Diner/Restaurant type of establishment. My favorite is Chicken Slouvaki Platter or Sandwhich. Fresh salads and friendly service. With the kitchen staff you find the folks at the helm and that makes for quality and consistency which similar places lack. I feel at home and enjoy the familiar faces whenever I go there. I have lived very close to this restaurant for 19 years. I have only been there a few times because one of the wait persons who must be a relative of the owner is horrible. She has worked there for years and if I am in her "station", I always leave angry because she will not refill my water. I am a very patient patron, BTW. Meaning not demanding. Family-owned and run sometimes doesn't mean anything, but in this case, it does! I have never known a bad Greek restaurant and this is one of the better ones with good prices. The fusion is great gyros, excellent pizza, top-notch Philly cheesesteaks, fried seafood, and home-cooked Greek veggie and meat dishes. We have been coming here for years and they have a long-time loyal following. I rate them down on their salads because I am a believer in romaine, fresh spinach, and non-iceberg lettuce. I love this place, it's what is left of the original Arlington, mom and pop. However, there are some shortfalls. My family wanted to celebrate tonight with Gyros and more delivered. They have delivered many times in the past but when I went to Grub Hub it stated they didn't deliver to my address. So, around 4 I called to ask if that was true and I got the elder. I'm sorry pops, but you couldn't tell me if that was true or not and to call back later to see if they did deliver, sent me into plan B. Unfortunately, when I got home and started my plan B there was no need to readdress the plan A which was the Gyros, calamari etc. He stated that they deliver within 3 miles. I mapped it on my iphone, one route is 2.8 miles, two other routes are 3 miles. My suggestion to Two Chefs is lose the Grub Hub, they are losing buisness for you. I think had I ordered directly from Two Chefs they would have delivered as they have always done, but because the person answering the phone couldn't validate my question, they lost probably at least 50+ dollars this evening because I had to have food I could count on for the celebration. Been going there for years. Gyro salad [no fries for ME please - lettuce only!] is our favorite. Pizza is good; I make sure they cook it DARK as that's how I like it. Veal parmigiana is deep-fried, terribly unhealthy for you, and very very yummy! I ask for lots of tomato sauce, as they don't drown it in sauce unless you ask. As they are Greek, their tomato sauce is a different taste from Italian, but fine with me. Chopped Salisbury steak with fries and mushroom gravy is another unhealthy tasty winner! {I don't care! If I want healthy, I'll hack up a head of lettuce at home!} Their iced tea appears to be fresh-steeped; not powdered. Never tried breakfast there; I'd surmise it's fine.
