We always hit Cherry Republic (which is down the street) and then, while my husband let's the kids run around in the (beautifully redone) park across the street - I head to Imagine That to take it all in. The place inspires in me what my husband refers to the "Target-Thousand-Yard Stare" - which apparently the look I get on my face when I browse the aisles of Target, child free. (You know what I'm talking about, fellow moms ;). The shop is beautifully curated. You know that whoever does the buying for this place puts a tremendous amount of heart into the items they select. There are seasonal items like graduation gifts, Mother's/Father's Day presents, and even Christmas ornaments that are perfect souvenirs to remind you of beautiful Glen Arbor in all its summertime glory when you're putting up your Christmas tree in December. They have home decor, coffee table books and a nice selection of candles. They also carry beautifully designed jewelry and a stylish selection of scarves. My wife remembered this place being a beautiful nature preserve and a destination. Today, it is an overgrown mess that you cannot walk into. The women who worked there took indifference to a new level. And they do not allow paying customers to use their bathroom. We drove 3 hours for a lousy experience - one that we will never repeat. If you want Gwen's prints, save a trip and order them online because you won't be glad you went there.
