I actually waited a really long time to write this review because I wanted to make sure that I truly wasn't in my emotions when I wrote it. The day that I moved, we were moving from apartment building 3 to apartment building 2. I was pregnant at the time so my ability to do things like lift boxes or move. Furniture was extremely limited. Even though it was not Sunday, they have a very specific policy about Sunday moving, but was in the middle of the week. I was given a quote stating that it's a minimum of five hours to move my belongings. I opted to go with this company because I had heard a lot of good things through the grapevine so you have to imagine my disappointment. When not only did they slow down to meet that five hour minimum that was falsely quoted. But a good number of my items were damaged. I was asked by one of the representatives to leave a good review after I spoke with them about the damages and the concerns that I had about this particular company and how my items retreated, and how moving from apartment on one side of the complex to the other side of the complex was more expensive than moving from North Richland Hills, Texas to The Colony, Texas. They asked me to leave a good review because the person who had set up my case was due for a annual review or a merit review of some kind or bonus review of some kind and a bad review would have hurt them in that. I opted to just not leave a review. In addition to all of that, I was told that the owner/manager of this particular branch of two men and a truck moving was going to reach out to me. I specifically said that I needed him to reach out to me at my cell phone after 4 PM central time. Something that every single other person that I spoke to was able to do. Not only did that manager wait to call me for months, but he called me in the middle of my workday. I explained that I couldn't talk now and I would need to have him call me back after 4 PM central time I never heard from them again. In short, I wouldn't really recommend this company. Being given a quote related to hourly pricing, and then being quoted that I would have to pay minimum of five hours when that is only their policy on Sundays. It left a really bad taste in my mouth and has made me really research and try to find better moving companies because this is the second miss that I have had with suggested/recommended companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. read more

Terrible. 4 guys, 2 trucks, only 1 guy cared. There was lots of damage. Moved into brand new house, they dropped the treadmill on the hard wood floor, lots of damage to flooring, tracked mud on to cream carpets, grease from workout equipment on cream carpet, walls damaged, refrigerator and washer damaged. Did not ask were to put things and put things in wrong rooms , did not take their wrapping off of furniture, etc. Filed a claim and they don't care either. Would recommend you find another moving company. this one is absolutely terrible. Do not recommend. read more

Contacted them to move this set out. I ended up disassembling the bed and moving things into my living room. They have zero communication skills, their prices was high for removal of a metal bedframe, 2 bookcases and a dresser. (with one bookcase disassembled and the bed frame disassemble) Explained when setting up the appointment that I needed morning because I work nights at a rehab center and the date of pickup would be a 16 hour shift for me. No response. I had a feeling they would try to renegotiate the cost given the iffy appraisal range and you can see I called it into question. This company will damage your furniture and will not fairly compensate you for their incompetence. To be clear, the head mover was awesome. His name was John. But there was one mover in the group of 4 that put unwrapped pieces of furniture on the bottom of the dolly and damaged that furniture considerably. That mover was fired on the spot, but the parent company refuses to compensate us fairly for the ruined furniture. They've agreed to pay 60 cents per pound. That is about $60 for $1000 worth of furniture. That is entirely unreasonable for their incompetence. Do not ever use this company. read more

Worse moving company ever. DO NOT use this company. Ruined our refrigerator. Couldn't figure out how to get an armoire down the stairs, so they left it up there. Took a 15 minute break, 15 minutes after they arrived. Continued to take frequent breaks. Midway through the day they announced it was going to require two trips (even though we were told w/the amount of furniture we had, their truck would only be 60% full). We are out $900.00, plus a severely damaged refrigerator. read more

Do Not hire this company. I was very specific with packing details, rooms, cabinets etc. Provided a video for all rooms for packing bathrooms, cabinets, closets, attic and garage. I provided KAYLA the company rep all details. Team members arrived late, then stated they were only told to pack the garage and kitchen..... Called the office with frustration as any client would be because they bated me stating they can get it done stress FREE....Then sent a supervisor named GREGORY DUVALL to review and he came back with. Ohhh this is going to cost a lot more than quoted, told him my frustration and GREGORY DUVALL said were not going to be able to move you and cancelled the next day move. They communicated with us well and when she missed a couch they came right back for it! They were professional and I would definitely use them again! We had the best crew unload our PODS today. James T, Juan M, Joshua S and James Showed up on time and from the minute we started reviewing the bad packing job we had by some other service, inspected the premises and go after it. They worked very well as a team, take care to guard the corners and put down a runner to protect the hardwood laminate floors. Next they listened to my wife instructions which made the move perfect. They did not hesitate, did not take any breaks and unloaded two fully packed 14ft units and moved them into our apartment and garage. Not one thing broken or scratched. Treated us as if they were family which meant a lot to me. These guys are the real deal and first rate professionals. read more

Nothing short of horrific. Used this moving service in the summer of 2019, and it was a complete disaster. All the promises of covering and wrapping all furniture were lies. When the men arrived (late), they asked if I wanted my furniture wrapped rather than just doing it. I was incredulous watching them struggle, as they clearly did not know what they were doing. The men openly complained the entire time, as if moving a one bedroom apartment is so difficult (it took them 8 hours). So many pieces of my furniture were left scratched and damaged with glass broken. None of the men wanted to own up to it and instead blamed the other. They caused hundreds of dollars worth of damage but only offered $100 during the claims process. Stay away. read more

This move was a disaster from start to finish including the essentially 30 day back and forth with the location manager (Duvall) for him to tell me he wouldn't discount either the move or another move that we need this week. If he wasn't going to do anything then just be upfront accept the blame for the nightmare experience and say no. Don't just jerk me around and sometimes return calls, sometimes not and promise to follow up without doing so. Here is a laundry list of the stuff that happened and some photos. BUYER BEWARE. I would HEAVILY discourage anyone from using them again. Just like apparently the last 2-3 reviews on here. 1. Left the front door to our home standing open for 4-5 hours despite the fact that much of the time they were doing prep work inside the house. Propping open when moving goods out of the house fine, but did they need to leave the door propped open? 2. Despite the fact that they "stopped for snacks and drinks" before hitting the house, both of them asked for and or got water from us at the origin and the destination. I provided the cup at the origin. It isn't a big deal, but I would think they should come prepared and they knew they needed water. One of the two of them getting water spilled water all over the front of teh fridge and floor and just walked away without cleaning and also left the empty gatorade bottle in the origin house on the floor. 3. They repeatedly asked me what was left to ship even though they had a list and I had placed pink postit notes on everything. Every time they mentioned the list they forgot the outdoors stuff. Then upon leaving my wife asked if they had gotten the TV and they hadn't. They were absolutely unprepared to get everything done without my input, assistance and reminders. 4. They left trash in the origin house, some plastic wrap that was used, in multiple places, an entire roll of plastic wrap, the aforementioned Gatorade bottle. 5. They almost left the destination house without unwrapping the bedroom furniture. 6. They did leave the origin house without the book case shelves. 7. They needed direction on how to get the couch down from upstairs and then executed it poorly resulting in it getting stuck., rubbing off a significant amount of paint on the rail and breaking two spindles on the landing. This resulted in AT LEAST 1 hour of delays in completion of the move and I had to climb over the couch and jump from the upstairs to downstairs in order to get out of the house. I had an appointment at my destination house that they made me late for. (they sent a very nice and proficient repair man to fix the spindles and repair the damages) 8. They left a piece of cardboard in the street in the rain at destination. 9. I "think" they dropped my stone patio table in the back yard. I heard a loud noise and went to check it out and the associate said, don't worry I laid it down...A couple moments later the other associate came around from the front of the house and asked what happened and he said nothing. There was obviously something but I didn't witness. I haven't been able to look at the table in the daylight to see if it was damaged. 10. They were not paying attention when moving an ottoman, shifted a wall unit and broke a Galileo thermometer. (They did purchase another and have it delivered). read more

RUN RUN RUN!!! 2hrs late!! Horrible service!! Damaged lots of my furniture & placed it in the storage building unorganized. They have the back door of the unit blocked & I'm not able to open it. I had to go back the next day & attempt to rearrange things by moving items placed in the front of the unit to the middle of the unit where they left open space. Called manager & was told once I move my things from storage, I could contact them to file a claim. I was only able to note a few of the items that were damaged due to the way they placed them in the unit. I paid for extra blankets & wrap to prevent this from happening as my furniture was new. I had to stop them from dragging things several times. Then, caught them dragging my couch on the concrete after the got it out the house because they complained about it being very heavy. I wasted $1000 by hiring "Professional Movers" as the call themselves & now will have to replace my bedroom set & living room furniture. No telling what other pieces are damaged. I never write reviews. I am so outraged and disgusted with my move experience and subsequent customer service. I hope this can prevent even one person from having this headache. I did a small and in-town move from North Dallas to Dallas. Going from a 2 bedroom condo to a 2 bedroom condo. The job was estimated to take 3-5 hours, it took 10. The two boys (very young men) complained the entire time about the steps in our new home. They dragged boxes along our new wood floor, and were not outfitted or prepared for the job (they also took off their masks despite multiple requests to keep them on). You hire movers so you don't have to deal with the added labor/stress. You hire professionals so they can come in with some hustle and take care of you. This was not the case. We could go on for pages - but in essence 1) they didn't complete the move (they had to leave items at the old home because there was not enough room) 2) they self-admitted forgot the hand trollies and moving equipment that would have saved us hours (time and money), 3) they were not in shape or physically capable of handling a small move within a reasonable amount of time. But -- the job was done. Now the real fun begins for us. I was contacted with a survey to which I replied "No, I wouldn't recommend." I was immediately contacted same day. Heard. Treated with respect. Excellent care and consideration. Without solicitation, I was offered a small partial credit to offset our awful experience. Hush money - fine. The move was beyond terrible but they cared, apologized, and were rectifying the situation as best they could. The next day I got a second, very aggressive call, saying the customer service person I spoke with was "unauthorized" and we are "getting nothing." He then hung up on me. Again, we never asked for anything, only completed an honest survey. Color us perplexed and amazed at what just transpired. My realtor, who referred us, called his rep in the company and escalated this matter. The following week I got a call from a regional manager who seemed to care, again, and he was going to "take care of this". Another week later he called me back, aggressive, and said "nothing would be done" and also threw in, "What do you want from us?". Again, this was all unsolicited by us, the clients who got the worst move ever. This company not only provided a terrible move, but then took us on a bipolar rollercoaster of multiple calls and promises, and ongoing offer retractions. We have whiplash from these conversations and lack of actual action to resolve. We have never experienced anything like this. Terrible move, wasted time, multiple (unsolicited) conversations that would turn aggressive. There is nothing logical about the situation, very bizarre handling, top to bottom. Terrible experience, subsequent unethical behavior, horrendous service and lack of care. Never again. Save yourself the trouble. Use a different company. Get real movers. read more

This was my third move using Two Men and a Truck because I'd had great experiences in the past. The move went great, except a computer desk was damaged beyond repair. These things happen and I trusted that they would handle the situation as well as they'd hand;ed everything to that point. BOY, WAS I WRONG! I filed a customer claim form and uploaded pictures. I was promised a call back within 2 business days and 8 went by until I CALLED THEM. Then it was transfer after transfer, voicemail after voicemail, and no one "HAD THE POWER" to do anything about my situation, but they always PROMISED TO HAVE SOMEONE CALL YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I got one lousy call back from Tyler Couchenour and when I tried to reach him again, he turned intop a ghost. I finally sent a nasty email to Tyler and received a worthless apology via email with an explanation of where my claim was. I work with the general public and understand that no matter how bad the mistake, as long as you communicate with the client and manage their expectations all will be well. Tyler's got a lot to learn. Use these guys at your own risk, or just hope they don't break anything. read more

If you are concerned by precautions taken during the time of Covid, I would stay away from this moving company. We observed 2 of their movers without masks moving an apartment tenant into an apartment next to my son's. They had to pass by other tenants entering their apartments to get to the apartment they were moving furniture into as well. When asked about why they weren't wearing masks, they replied that the apartment tenant had no issues. The problem with this is that if they are entering another person's apartment (closed space) who is not wearing a mask then they are exposing themselves to possible infection with Covid that they can then bring to you when they move you into your new residence. Inconsiderate and disrespectful to the safety of ALL their customers by increasing the risk that the movers bring Covid to you. read more

Eight years ago, we used Two Men and a Truck to move from one house to another in the same town. They were fantastic, and when we needed to move into the Twin Cities, we used Two Men and a Truck again. And again, a fantastic experience. Professional, experienced, customer service oriented, and timely. So, when we found a house about an hour north of the Twin Cities, we naturally called Two Men and a Truck. Expecting the same level of service and professionalism we had experienced twice before, we packed up our boxes, and eagerly awaited the movers. They arrived on time, and that was the last good thing they did. On this moving day, as with the moving day four years ago, the weather was very cold. This is Minnesota after all, and winter comes every year. The two movers from Two Men and a Truck refused to close the door leading from the townhouse into the garage. They refused to use pads on the carpeted stairs. And they refused to move a sleeper sofa. A sleeper sofa that had been moved expertly into the townhouse four years ago by Two Men and a Truck. We couldn't stay and argue with them, as the realtor was coming to take photos of the townhouse. My husband planned on forcing them to go back and get the sleeper sofa once Two Men and a Truck had unloaded all our items into the new house. Once they began unloading, they again refused to close the door. We would close it behind them, and they would whip it open, and leave it open. They refused to use pads, and left a 2-foot long swath of dirt on the carpet. And they refused to go back and move the sleeper sofa. At the end of the move, my husband wrote down on the contract what we had experienced. As one of the movers read it, and argued with my husband about the 2-foot swath of dirt ("It was already there."), the mover said "We weren't supposed to work today, it's too cold." At this point, my husband verbally threw both movers from Two Men and a Truck out of the house. As we unpacked and took a closer look at things, I realized they had somehow put two dime-sized gouges in the top of our oak dresser. Later that evening, we prepared to inflate our Sleep Number bed, and realized the movers from Two Men and a Truck had ripped the air hose from the motor. The end of the air hose was jagged, and it was not possible to attach it back to the motor. We tried the other motor we had, and discovered they had broken that one as well. The aftermath of this has been truly horrible. A manager named Luke has argued with my husband over the phone, ignored our emails, and tomorrow (Tuesday, December 17, 2019), Two Men and a Truck are sending someone out to "assess" the damage. I can only imagine how that will end, but most likely with me calling a lawyer. We are profoundly disappointed and angered by this experience with Two Men and a Truck. I can assure you we will never use this moving company again, and we will never recommend Two Men and a Truck to friends and/or family. They broke our beds, marred an oak dresser, ruined two feet of new carpeting, and then had the gall to tell my husband "It's too cold." Four years ago, the movers from Two Men and a Truck who moved us in the same type of weather did their jobs without complaint. We accepted an offer on our townhouse yesterday, which is contingent on, among other things, getting that sleeper sofa out. Yes, that's right. Two Men and a Truck still have not moved it, or even indicated that they plan on moving it. This move will go down as the worst one we've ever had, and we've moved all over the country. Setting up the move on the phone was easy, the men called on there way to my location the day of the move, and arrived when they said they would. They were friendly, fast, and hard working! At the end of the move they had to haul my stuff up to the 3rd floor - no problem. It was a long day, but a great experience! Would use them again for sure! read more

I moved from Dallas to Ft Worth 1/2/21 and had D'Angelo and Nick...they were great!! Arrived on time with a notice they were on the way. They were professional and efficient-all items were reviewed and then they got to work! They arrived at the new home promptly and assembled all furniture and set boxes anywhere I asked. I had not moved in 11 years-I feel I got lucky with having them as my movers because they made a difficult situation much easier and way less stressful than it could have been. It was easy to get a quote on line and the amount was right in line with the estimate. I would recommend the company and I would ask for D'Angelo and Nick! read more

At 9:30 I call to check on crew only to be told there wasn't a crew available. This was after completing reservation and paying the $100 deposit. What a joke. read more

I am a former employee of Two Men and a truck of Carrollton, Texas on Belt Line Road. (WORTH THE READ) I am leaving a review as a former employee, hoping that maybe I might be able to help any other people who might be considering working for this company. I cannot speak for every location that Two Men has, but as for the Two Men location in Carrollton, Texas on Belt Line road I strongly urge and beg others not to apply for this location if you value professionalism and any type of deceny in your work place. In the almost year that I worked for this location, I was miserable at all times. This location is ill prepared for their moves, they send employees on jobs without proper equipment, send small trucks on large jobs and they are a total and complete mess when it comes to executing a days work. You will never see any of this unless you experience it first hand as an employee and see what goes on behind the scenes. My experience at the Carrollton location was nothing short of horrible. There is a cloud of toxic masculinity that sits over this location. There is a lot of favoritism for select employees and they treat drivers like absolute allstar players while the movers are treated lesser. Basically if you are not a driver, you are not as valuable to the company and you are given very bad hours! In my time working for this location, I was picked on, made fun of, laughed at, made to be a joke, talked down on and ultimately mistreated, but I needed a job so i stayed, because I needed some type of income. Recently a driver on my job quit the job after we had a truck full of a customers furniture, drove the truck back to our shop without notifying our manager, I had to notify our manager that we were coming back so that he had time to resolve the situation. (I did so out of the kindness of my heart) when we returned to the shop, I got a lecture about how I need to take ownership of my shortcomings and was never asked about what happened in the situation at all. The management did not care to allow my voice to be heard when I spoke up about how I felt the situation was handled, and the blame was put on me. (That driver was not fired and was given the next day off) The next day I was picked on and talked down to by a driver while on a move, and when I stood up for myself that driver proceeded to call the manager and lie about what happened on the job and the manager believed eveything that he said. I grew the balls to quit and I'm so glad I did. Please do not allow this Carrollton location to treat anyone else so poorly! The management does not care about the well being of it's employees, as long as you can still wake up the next day and continue to work while you are sore and hurting (as long as you can be profitable and get moves done so that company can rack up more money) they will treat you good. We hired Two Men and a Truck (TMT) to pack one day, and then load onto a third party trailer the next day, for our interstate move. When we found a house and the trailers arrived, we were shocked at what we found! The company we hired to unload at our new location opened the truck, removed the bulkhead, and exposed a jumbled mess of furniture toppled on top of each other. The guys from the other moving company said they had never seen anything like it. They said TMT obviously did not load the truck correctly, leading to the absolute mess that we found. We took pictures of both the pile of furniture in the trailer and made a list and took photos of the irreparable scrapes and breaks on the multiple individual items. I called TMT and they said to send the pictures and they would look at it. The manager's name was Mike and he said to give him a little time to talk to the guys who loaded the trucks and to look at the pictures. I gave him a week. When I called back, the person who answered the phone said Mike no longer works here. He gave me the name of the new manager, Landon. He was always unavailable and did not call me back. Finally, he took my call and asked me to send the pictures again to his email, which I did. I called him a couple of more times thereafter and he continued to be unavailable and did not call me back. Finally, I spoke to him and he said they could not do anything because the truck was "out of their hands, anything could have happened to it". One of the movers we interviewed before our move, United Van Lines, told me that they pack things tightly, well-secured with straps and rope so there is very little movement. He told me the story of one of their trucks being in an accident and rolling down a hill. He said not one thing was broken when they opened the truck. So, the fact that Landon said, "Who knows what happened on the way to your new location, they could have hit some bumps" ......is just a joke and proof that this company does not know what they are doing! If their trailer drove 1,700 miles to transport our belongings they wouldn't "hit some bumps"? Not only did they not load the truck properly, it cost us more money because we had to pay by the amount of space that was used in the trailer. If it was packed tightly and the bulkhead was then installed, there should have been little movement and less space in the truck would have been used. Two Men and a Truck is only out to make money....they are unprofessional and do not care about their customers. If you value your belongings...DON'T hire them, hire United Van Lines....I wish we did! read more

We used them to move us on recommendation by neighbors. They were very conscientious and professional, and WONDERFUL to work with. They made a stressful situation so much easier to get through. We will definitely use them again next time we move, and highly recommend them to anyone else considering them. read more

Update to my last post which included concerns and frustration about my lost bike: I eventually got a phone call from one of the managers. The company reimbursed me with a fair price for the loss. I realize this was an honest mistake and I appreciate the company taking responsibility and making things right. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about 2 men and a truck. We scheduled them to come out to my house on 9/14/18 to move my belongings to my new apartment in Denton. They were here by 8:35, our time frame was between 8:30 and 9:30. They were extremely efficient, professional, and nice. My dresser has a mirror on it; they took the mirror off before loading it in and reattached it for me when they got to my apartment. They made my move so much easier and I can't recommend them enough. read more

I hired these movers for my last move over the summer. For one thing, they showed up 4 and a half hours late from another move, without notifying us regularly. That prevented us from leaving and getting more of our stuff moved ourselves, so we had to pay an extra $250 to stay another night at our old apartment. Then they charged us for the move and left without unwrapping or setting anything up. Huge heavy furniture EVERYWHERE and I'm a small framed woman, not really capable of moving it myself. Then 3 months later, they double charge me for the move. No explanation. Just charged almost $400 from my account. I had paid their drivers with partial cash and partial credit, and apparently their drivers stole the cash. So they charged me for the move twice. I am out almost $800 because their drivers are thieves. The receipt they give you in in triplicate and is impossible to read, so there's no proof that I paid them. All they saw was there was an account that hadn't been charged. The manager never takes your calls, the receptionist 'Brittany' is condescending and will tell you the manager will call you back later -- and he doesn't. Horrible business. Horrible people. Never using them again. Telling everyone I know to never use them. "Little Guys" movers are so much better. read more
